I think your best bet in this situation is to forfeit that your poultry aspiration and convert this place to a church.

Within 3 months, I can promise you your first millions.

You can hire falseprophet1 or righteousness2 as the minister in charge. You don't have to thank me, I gat your back
I am not looking into starting a Church, sir. I believe Nigeria needs more people who can create jobs for people and add true value to the Nigerian economy. Cheers.

Very perfect place.... but hope it's far from residential areas...cos of the smell from the birds waste
Thanks, Sir. People have not really moved into the area yet. Maybe because the place lacks electricity at the moment. There is no one living close to the place. There is a candle factory about 300 meters away, and another property which is inhabited about 600 meters to the left. All the other lands around have been cleared, but barren of buildings, or have been purchased with no structures on them ( Bush ).

What about environment ? Is the building far from residential buildings where offensive smell will not be disturbing them?
Yes, it is far from residential buildings. There is no human habitation near the place. It is still a developing site and the nearest place where a man and his family lives is like 600 meters away.

It can be used for poultry 100%
Thanks, Bro. The reason my brother is giving is that it is not airy enough, but I have explained to him that the place has many windows and doors ( As you can see ) that will be open for enough ventilation. There will be nets behind the doors and windows to prevent insects and rats from entering the place. The doors will be shut at night though.

My People @ Nairalanders cool cool cool cool. I need your serious advice. I have this property ( It belongs to me ) in a remote part of Ikorodu. I am planning to start 2024 as a Self Employed Person/Businessman. Or if possible, combine teaching with business ( As hard as it Seems ). So, lets go back to what I was saying. Can I use this place for a poultry business? My brother says it cannot be used for raising Chickens. I want to raise Cockerels or Noilers. See the pictures I have attached. Please advice me accordingly, Nairalanders. The place has a source of water, toilets, bathroom, kitchen, rooms for office and store. Thanks.

Ortiz wiliki was amazing. I rate him higher than Ras Kimono, The Mandators, Isaac Black and other reggae artistes of his era, except Majek Fashek. Oritz performed music that will make you think. He sang roots and revolutionary reggae. I love his music and his personality. He is a legend.

?

Go into the snacks business e.g Chinchin, Popcorn or Potato Chips business. Learn how to source for your own customers in Churches, Schools , higher institutions etc. Look for a snack that does not require much ingredients. And learn how to source your raw materials cheaper. You need to consider the energy costs to produce your snacks. Gas or local cooking methods? You can use coal or sawdust stoves to fry large quantities of chinchin or plantain/potato chips. Consider kerosene stove too. The major thing here is getting enough customers who will buy from you. Cheers.

I don't know why u people keep quoting me, I've just said the bitter truth, it is those same category of people that badmouth education at any giving chance.

I'm sure 80% of those saying jaggons about education here don't study it and they are the main cause of this problems they are lamenting about.

U have no point cause what u are saying occur in all fields, there is no way u can do better than someone who did education course from part 1 to 4 even if u do PG unless the person does not know what he is doing. And also everybody cannot be good no matter the field.
I hope you are not teaching English Language or English Literature cool cool cool cool. A good teacher will not write in the way and manner you have just displayed above. You see smiley smiley smiley smiley. I am not a graduate of English Language or Literature. However, I write and express myself better than many English Language or English Literature teachers I have come across. You don't have to study Education or attend a College of Education before you can start teaching. Cheers.

Sorry, we are not ass-kissers where I work. The school is an international school, and it is not owned or managed by Nigerians. Employment there is purely by merit and you cannot rise by snitching on others there. The system doesn't support that otherwise, you will be shooting yourself in the leg. There is a scale. Salaries are not increased by snitching. Everyone in the same category gets the same pay. You can get bonuses for your performances or extra roles but, it doesn't add up to the basic salary you earn for your position. The only way to the top is by working hard, unifying the system, upgrading yourself and being a good model to staff and students.
There are staff who have worked there for as long as 20,30yrs. Those who leave only leave because they feel like they have had enough, they have a better offer abroad or they want to retire. If you are laid off, it is either because you were evidently incompetent and refused to improve on your quality, or your character is not healthy for the community and you are not making efforts to be a better person.
The school is in the South West.
That is all I can afford to say here.
Adios!
No wonder cool cool cool cool. It has to be an international school. I am a teacher at the moment. I am an accidental teacher and I have other career plans. Private schools should appreciate their teachers more. Good teachers are hard to find and keep. Cheers.

The problem with some of you, and I see a lot on this thread, is that you don't have what it takes to be at the top of the food chain. These daily topics have becoming nauseating to be honest.

Granted, there are lots of schools that pay peanuts, but there are also lots that pay very good, and give their teachers breaks all the time.

A friend got a job in one and the starting salary was 300k, with 400k annual rent. I know a lot where starting salary is 100k, with annual rent of 200k. This is in addition to staff trainings, breakfasts, medical subsidy, leave, etc. It may not be like tech and other industries, but I think it's an OK salary.

The truth is almost every profession has those who are at the top, and those at the bottom. But some of you are either too lazy, or not good enough to be at the top of the food chain. Instead of these constant complaints, do your research, build yourself and apply to these good schools.

After all, na human beings like una dey still work for there.
Don't talk like that. These amazing schools you are mentioning don't often advertise their vacancies online or in the media. Can you tell us the names of these incredible schools where teachers starting salaries are 100, 000 naira with rent paid for employees @ 200, 000 naira. Thanks. It still does not take away the fact that 85% of private school owners do not have the interests of their staffs at heart.

The story is not the same everywhere. I am into the academics. My pay is in hundreds of thousands, I had a summer break from 29th of June till yesterday, 28th of August and I have been put on the list of staff to go for a training outside Nigeria. All expense paid. I can say I make a decent living from teaching, however , I understand that it is a nightmare for most teachers in Nigeria, ran by Nigerian owners.
My sincerest pray is that God makes a better way for everyone who is labouring on other people's children and not getting a fair treatment for the labour. There is no sweeter payback than ditching 'slave-making' employers for those who are ready to pay for every worth of your sweat.
I also advice that teachers should upgrade their skills. There are free online courses you can take and webinars where you can get certificate of participation for.
Lastly, no matter what you do, let Abuja schools be the least on your list. My experience with them is horrible. Those guys are capitalists and will lay claim on every breath, every second and everything called freedom that comes to you. Just a few of them are really international and have staff welfare at the back of their minds.
Please tell us the name of this your school. I am not trying to apply there by the way. However, do tell us. Generally, many private schools in Nigeria have owners who want you to snitch on other teachers if you want your salary to increase. There is a lot of snitching going on in private schools. Many teachers rise in the private school system because they know how to ' Kiss the Ass ' of School owners. Cheers.

As an educationist, this is my take

The only solution to this peanut salary is to expel all non educationist from teaching line, after they study one useless course with no job, they will later litter all teaching jobs desperately accepting peanuts. We don't want every tom, dick and harry in education.
Imagine only limited professionals in teaching line, employers won't have a choice than to accept their offer but presently even teachers are more than the teaching jobs.

If u don't study education pls don't come to teaching line, u people are the cause of what teachers and education is experiencing currently
You are talking utter RUBBISH. Many teachers that studied Education are usually not better than '' Accidental Teachers '' ( People who become teachers due to the state of the Nigerian economy ). I know people who graduated from Science and Art Faculties who will do better than graduates of Education or College of Education graduates who are teachers, if these ' accidental teachers ' decide to do their PGDE.
TV/MoviesRe: Willy Willy: Nigeria's First Most Popular Horror Movie (Throwback) by Redman44(m): 5:52pm On Aug 17, 2023
Boys used to discuss willie willie back then in secondary school but I had no idea of what they were talking about. I don't think Willie Willie was popular in Lagos then. I did not know NTA aired it shocked shocked shocked shocked shocked. I watched Jimi Odumosu's '' Evil Encounter '' and Matt Dadzie's horror movie '' Lynx ''. These movies were frightening too.

'' Awa, Awa, Awa shocked shocked shocked shocked shocked '' it was scary hearing this sentence pronounced in '' Lynx ''.

Yes, '' Pot of Life '' was scary too. It was Bendel State's contribution to the Nigerian Film Festival which was held yearly. Called NIFES or something.

I dont think the fear of injury is the main factor sha... They can get injured anywhere.... They just don't have the commitment...it's the thing with a lot of NBA stars.. national team assignment doesn't mean much to a lot of them... Maybe it's time we beam our searchlight to Europe....
Totally agree with you. If Dtigers qualify for the Olympics, we should ignore the NBA stars who ignore call ups for national assignments. There are other capable players who ply their trade in Europe, Africa and Asia or in the collegiate system of the USA who can get the job done. Cheers.

I am familiar with some names on the list of invited Dtigers players- Daniel Utomi, Ike Ndugba, Michael Eric, Victor Ezeh, UC Iroegbu and Michael Okiki. Metu is also well known. I think we will present a good squad because some of the new players are talented and play in the collegiate system in the USA. Victor Ezeh is really good. We should not write these guys off. I would have preferred Julius Nwosu to be on the coaching staff. He would be very useful to inspire the boys during the tournament.

These NBA guys hardly ever participate in any tournament expect Olympics and world cup.. it's either the NBBF isn't making enough effort to convince them, or they are simply not interested.... The other day, I read a quote from Gabe Vincent where he said if he were to pick between winning an Olympic medal with Nigeria and winning an NBA championship,he would pick the former...now, duty calls, he no show... Most of the regular guys have been a no show since the last Olympics... We're parading a weak squad...it's not assured we will grab that Olympics qualifying tournament ticket.

As foe the host venue, it seems like the indoor sport hall at the national stadium is not in good condition cus Eko hotels convention center will host it... Naija self...
I read that Gabe Vincent interview too. However, I don't think we will be parading a weak team. I am happy it is not the Sacramento Kings Coach that is in charge of DTigers at this tournament. I am happy it is Coach Odaudu in charge. With some determined play, Nigeria can win this qualifiers towards the 2024 Olympics. I have seen some names on the roster and these guys are good. I think we can do well, if we play to an advantage due to the home support. It is Tunisia and Senegal I am scared of, but they are beatable.

We don't need Cambage in D'tigress set up. We have so many ladies who want to play for Dtigress at the moment. Cambage is bad press and baggage for Nigeria. Anyway, so what's popping at Dtigers camp?, guys? We switch to the Men now. The Olympic qualifiers will commence on the 14th of August 2023 in Lagos. As usual, our NBA stars are not in camp, except Captain Chimezie Metu . We have many unknown guys in camp. What's your take on this event being hosted in Lagos?
SportsRe: Liz Cambage Denies Calling D'tigress Monkeys - Nigerian Players Reacts by Redman44(m): 1:44am On Aug 10, 2023
No, we don't want her in Dtigress Squad. She is bad news and can bring negativity to our team .
SportsRe: Nigeria Basketball Thread! by Redman44(m): 10:13pm On Aug 05, 2023
I believed in these ladies from the start. I said they would win the Afrobasket in Kigali. They have won it, haven't they? I also spoke about Ifunaya Okoro's talent, that she has been exceptional for Kenya Ports Authority ( KPA ), a basketball club in Kenya. Today, Okoro showed the class she is made of. We should give Nigerian basketballers ( Male and Female ) who play for clubs in Africa, a chance to play for Nigeria. They are experienced and have been exposed to the basketball culture of other countries. Congrats, D'tigress.

I disagree. I respect are as her player and do wish her the best but I disagree. If other members of the team competed she wouldn't make this team.

In this game she's currently 0 of 4 in shooting. She always came from the bench with Otis. Maybe she was once, but she's definitely not the player she used to be. If more players turnup like I assume they would, she won't make the Olympics team.
I agree with you on this one though. Ogoke's era as a D'tigress player should be over with this Afrobasket. Better players are showing up and the fight for shirts for the Olympic Squad will be tough. Rwanda is trying to fight back.

Rwanda isn't a great team. I will be very surprised if we lose to them. The only team I felt was a threat on our path to the Finals was Mozambique and I indicated that very early and maybe Uganda who are out now. Even with the current squad, we shouldn't be losing to Rwanda under any circumstances.

The girls will hopefully get the job done.

And hope they work on the turnovers. The numbers are crazy. If I were Rena I would significantly reduce Sarah ogoke's time on the court. She turns over the ball a lot. Hoping she turns the tide today when she gets to play.
Sarah Ogoke has her ON and OFF days. She is a good player though. She has not been great at this year's Afrobasket. I knew D'tigress will dominate today's game. When our ladies staged a come back against Mozambique yesterday and won the game, I knew we had a chance of making the finals.
