@Vycta

I personally have never heard of any agency working in the system which you just described. The norm will be for them to give you a variety of schools based on your budget and interests or better still, you provide them with the schools you like...and they do the job from there.
I think the best bet will be for you to take out time, search for the schools you'll prefer and apply yourself. If you have funds ready, this could be completed in a space of 2weeks, then you can start chasing your transcript processing from there on.
But if you feel you really really don't have time and need an agent, I'll advice you find a new one.
Lol @ Find a new one. How are you?

@wonda26

As basic as it may seem, getting admission (into any uni) is one step that nobody here can guarantee for you. You just have to apply to find out. I can share a few tips on applying tho:

1. Apply on time, like way before the proposed entry semester's deadline. Especially because the course is a competitive one. Applications are considered on a first come -first serve basis so I'm sure you don't want to be late.
2. Write a great Statement of Intent (or purpose) to assure the admissions officer that you are fit for the program and you will not waste the opportunity. Again because it is competitive and there is a limit to admission intakes to these kinds of programs.
3. Apply to both of those schools and if possible, one or two more.

Another thing that can't be guaranteed by anybody here is getting a job after your program, but from the gist we all hear about Canada, Jobs plenty dieeee. And if you are sure those schools are the only ones offering Automotive programs at postgrad level in Canada (of which I strongly doubt sef), then I guess their graduates will be in demand from the Canadian automobile industry. But don't quote me.
Just get your admission first then you can move on to the next step to get your study permit (which is also one thing that can't be guaranteed by anybody here, lol).

On a brighter side tho, following this forum is guaranteed to give you a great experience for you as you process every step... I'm having a blast from it already.

All the best

You can get most of ur winter stuffs here when u arrive, but be sure to come with atleast one thick jacket handy so u won't be caught off guard....
Aii. Thanks.

Just that the thought of going from 30 to -12 in less than 24hrs always makes me imagine it'd take alot more than a thick jacket from naija to be fine.

Hello guys. I am planning to go for my Diploma or Advance Diploma in Canada in Information Technology. I just got married and i have few questions:

1. Will you advice i go for a 1 year program or 2 years program?

2. Are married applicants allowed to travel with their partners? If yes, what type of visa will be issued to my wife?

Also, We both have a valid US visa and does that guarantee me getting a TRV? Hope to read from you guys soon. Happy new month.
Hi Emblem,
I think the length of the program depends on the institution offering it and it's that length of program that your visa will be valid for. I am not sure if this answers your question. I'm sorry if it doesn't
Yes you can go with your wife... you just have to prove that there's enough funds to cater for the both of you during the program. You will both be issued Temporary Resident Visas valid for the same period.

I can imagine that a valid US visa would make sense for your application but I don't think it guarantees anything. But this is just my opinion.

Boss it has been said here times without number that the schedule 1 form is optional, so don't let rebdribs give u high bp this morning o. If it was compulsory for Nigerians the web application will detect you're applying from Nigeria and make it compulsory for you to upload it. wink
Lol. Thank you for clarifying @MrArams

@meritdee Boss, sorry for the confusion. I guess it really is optional then. Notice that I was only giving a personal opinion (just like everyone else does here sometimes) No worries eh? We'll all be fine by God's grace. Cheers

Hmm, kindly note that on the platform used to process your study visa, there is a window for you to change DLI. My sincere thoughts are that if you can change your institution on the CIC application before getting to Canada, it should take care of that problem of going to the initial institution used to process the TRV.
Just checked out the link on the platform... You might be right; I guess it can be changed (if he applied online). Thanks for pointing that out.

I stand to be corrected .. Schedule 1 form is optional and not compulsory .
Well, not quite. A TRV application form (the schedule 1 form) is only "optional" because citizens of visa-exempt countries (for example, US) don't need a TRV to enter Canada. So they simply just apply for study permit only. Although, I think there was a time that the study permit application form was enough for CIC to consider naija applicants for a TRV until when they updated their system with changes (I think last year) and started to require that applicants should as well fill the TRV form explicitly. I also stand to be corrected tho.

please house am apllying online now but am kinda confused, can i add mu tuition receipt with Letter of acceptance because i already scanned it together because i just saw that receipt should be in proof of financial means and please house which one is schedule 1? and secondly , i scanned my past employment ltrz under Letter of explanation and i just saw it should be under financial proof also...please can i still scan them like dat? URGENT
Download Adobe Acrobat Pro trial. I used it to separate, arrange and compile all my scanned pdfs. For example, you can use it to pull out the page with the tuition receipt from the LOA doc and insert it in the proof of fin docs. I've also seen here on this forum that it is possible to just copy and paste your pdfs in Microsoft word and then use it to edit your pdfs (but I haven't tried this out tho)

Schedule 1 is your TRV application. You need to fill that bruv.
Your letter of employment (past or present) can go under your letter of explanation doc if you are not the one sponsoring. If you are your sponsor, simply edit your pdf (using any of those ways I've suggested) and get your current letter of employment in your proof of fin docs. I think your past employment details can remain in your Letter of explanation doc.

I admit to seeing the "DLI" link on the online platform but I really don't know what it is for and I cant say I agree with u that he can change his DLI code with it... but let's analyse this... so he manages to change his DLI number (if at all that's really possible), can he also submit the other acceptance letter? and change other information entered in his app form abo If he can't then I guess your suggestion would turn out bad for his application.

If he really can change his DLI code with it, then I suppose it's a benefit that allows mis-entered DLI codes to be corrected.

This as well is just my sincere opinion tho...

SIGA.......Please I need to know.
I have a friend that applied for study visa with red river college admission letter and his been granted but right now his gotten admission to his preferred school choice, lambton college and has gone ahead to make tuition payments.
Which one of them school's document does he need to present at the point of entry? Red river or lambton. Or any one... Does the visa indicate a particular school. Kindly advise
He should be able to change schools after he gets to Canada but not without notifying CIC. The study permit, is a document that will be issued at POE, and it will most likely carry the details of the school he used to apply for his visa. Now if he takes that document (the study permit) that way to the other/preferred school and that school sees another school's details, then there's a conflict and that can raise a flag.

You should understand that study permit applications are assessed in accordance with the details you submitted in your application. The cost of living and tuition for both schools will definitely not be the same so the permit will have to go back to CIC for re-consideration and applicable adjustment, which MIGHT take a fresh "processing" time again (not sure tho)...

But conversely sha, he can also take the first semester in red river and after that, use his transcript to apply to Lambton again. If it's not the same course or a related course, then I guess this is really not an option.

Hello guys, please i need advice.I have an offer from SAIT for petroleum engineering(though i have i first degree already in chemical engineering)for winter session starting january 5th.I am bothered if its not too late to send in my application next week or maybe i should just wait and get another offer from SAIT for fall 2015 and apply for my TRV in January? Please i await ur inputs as regards what to do.
Frankly, whatever response you get about this your dilemma will just be a matter of personal opinion. Nobody can categorically guarantee that you are too late or that you still have enough time. It takes like 8-9 weeks from the online submission to the TRV collection based on recent stats so it's left for you to decide if you still have enough time or not.

In my opinion, the timing is really tight and if I had something doing (like an occupation) at the moment, I'd rather stick to it and take my time to do a decent and relaxed application for Fall 2015. But hey, No risk no reward.

Cheers.

The biometrics (finger print and face capture) will be needed in processing your application. Right after you submit your app online, you will receive instructions to get your biometrics done within 30 days. I suggest you do it the earliest time possible sha, cos I heard from someone here that your app will not be processed until they have received your biometrics info from the vac guys. Bro there is always one fact, you don't need to rush yourself, take your time to secure another good SOA then you can go ahead with it .... Don't rush in anything ... There is no way somebody will sponsor you to Canada with #2M closing balance ( your sponsor have some bills to pay out of this 2M, especially your sponsor based in USA where there are lots of bills waiting for him every goddamn day ) ... Try to access yourself with it ... Put yourself in VO shoes and think about it .... Forget about winter bro focus on fall if you can secure good SOA by then ... My advise though ... Truth is bitter anyway !
Well, this is another candid advice, of which I can agree with...(if you are not ready to risk a chance with what you already have).
