Documents submitted:
The study and family forms
Admission Letter (Humber (Lakeshore), Global Business Management. Winter 2015, 2yrs)
Intl Passport
Ordinary passport
Degree result
NYSC certificate
Birth certificates (my own and sponsor, brother)
Statement of account of sponsor (with abt 7m, gud inflow and outflow of cash),
Sponsorship declaration
Affidavit of sponsorship
ID card of sponsor, payslips, employment letter of sponsor, tax clearance
Investment certificate of sponsor
SOP
Does your brother have dependants? If so, I'm afraid you need to pay your tuition to furthermore convince the Visa Officer... A visa officer will naturally assume that as long as you (the applicant) does not have the absolute discretion on how to spend the 7M (it's not in your account), then you haven't guaranteed that you will be able to sustain yourself financially.

All the best bro... I believe you still have time (but minimal) to reapply.

Cheers

You can use your copy (receipt) of the transaction to apply....no time to waste
I know... that's what I am asking about... I don't have it yet. all I got from GTbank was their many debit alerts (including their several charges) in my email.

I used GTB early this year for wire transfer and I think I got the telex copy after 5 business days...you don't need to worry much cos mine was sent to my email. You should receive your copy latest next week friday. How did you cope with all their charges?
Hmmm! Good you brought that up.... *sigh* those charges can cover another school fees for masters in naija... it wasnt easy bro...

5 business days tho... that's not cool o. I need to attach payment confirmation to my submission and I really want to submit ASAP cos I'm seeing nairalanders say processing takes about 8weeks and I want that to start counting like NOW.

Thanks tho

By the way, it might make sense to recommend that prospective online applicants consider downloading Adobe Acrobat Pro software (not Adobe reader). It's pretty easy to work with PDFs on it (You can create, combine, edit and even reduce file size). I'm using the free 30-day trial copy so I suggest you scan all your documents first before you download it so that you won't be found wanting when the freebie expires and you are yet to submit your app.

Cheers.

Hello my people,

So I wired my tuition to my school account yesterday. Does anyone know how long it takes to receive telex copies? I have received debit alerts from my account already and GT has failed to respond to my emails requesting for a payment confirmation document.

However, I know my nairalanders will definitely respond to me in a timely manner smiley smiley

as soon as you submit your application
oh thanks. Is there like a time frame? And does it have to be just Lagos? or Abuja can work too.
TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 6 by redribs(m): 1:22pm On Oct 09, 2014
Hello house,

Please at what point in the processing period of an online application will I be required to do my biometrics at VAC? I work in Kwara State so going to Lagos is a trip I would rather plan than rush at.

Thank you.
TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 6 by redribs(m): 9:32am On Oct 08, 2014
House, pls how long does this online application method take on the average? All these scanning, grouping and resizing wahala had better be worth the effort when compared to the VAC method.
Thanks guys.

standupguy:
So
Someone should tell conestoga to give me my school fee receipt so I can submit my app online, everything has been attached since last week, just waiting for school fees receipt.
Telex copy of wire transfers says 30th, till now no receipt, the international office say it could take of to 10days.
I need to submit the app asap.
I have wasted a lot of time already, have had the admission since june.
I am just about to do a telex transfer today and I hope to upload my application with the transfer confirmation copy. I'm not ready to wait on the school to send receipt. I suggest you do the same so that your application process can start, I believe you can send the receipt to accompany the other documents whenever it comes...

Btw, some of us have been deferring admission since 2012, June feels like yesterday to me lol

P.s people who submitted online, did you scan and already take passport or did you take a picture with you phone.
Was the background white?
Well, I took a picture of a hard copy passport (that's like scanning), but I'm sure you can also take a picture with any kind of camera, just as long as your image file meets the photo requirements for successful upload... my upload was successful but I believe you will be contacted if your uploaded passport photo is not acceptable.

Satellite TV TechnologyRe: Q-SAT: QUEEN OF SATELLITES? by redribs(m): 9:59pm On Aug 12, 2014
I'm not a PRO for QSAT. In fact, I'm only just a user. However, I strongly believe the current weather in 9ja is a major factor affecting the reliability of the QSAT systems. So keep your mind open to outages this season.

Cheers.

Let's be positve guys. It can't always be the same jungle behaviour forever. Besides, the interviews for the zonal recruitments were fair and well according to some peeps here.. Collating results also can't be so easy considering the excessive number of candidates that may have been successful. Let's keep the hope alive and attract positive thoughts only.

Cheers to all that are patiently waiting
Jobs/VacanciesRe: NERC Recruitment: What's the update? by redribs(m): 9:01am On Dec 01, 2013
Ok, u already answered. My bad. Network issues.

Any word on the head office recruitment? Anybody?
Jobs/VacanciesRe: NERC Recruitment: What's the update? by redribs(m): 8:55am On Dec 01, 2013
@buchi07 Names of the 74 needed or names of shortlisted ones for tests/interview (as d case may be)? And are u referring to the zonal recruitment or the Head office recruitment? U know there are 2 different subsets of candidates following this thread.

It is well

Any show? Anyone? This suspense is heavy as l was hoping Grandious was hinting "soon'' and "this month" to really mean ''this week''

Nairaland! I hail o.

I have been following this thread for some time now and what I have been able to deduce from it all so far is in two directions:

It's either
1. The June-aug candidates for the head office positions are yet to be attended to; or

2. Successful candidates are very few and are not party or loyal to this conversation thread as noone is saying anything about it.

Just as someone has said, I also believe most of the positions are for experienced candidates so my guess is that there might not be an aptitude test (probably just interview).

Please can anyone clarify to me the current status for the jun-aug NERC recruitment for the abuja H/O?

Thanks.
