There is nothing good about the new NL. Just leave NL as it is otherwise you'll see people leave in droves. |
shadrach77:Yes, it has been all over the internet for the past 100years, why didn't you copy it and paste since you read it? Leave people like 'us' that are seeing it for the first time to enjoy the joke. Na by force to comment on every thread? Mumu like you. |
Princek12: Princek12:What's biting you mister? Abeg free the guy joor. Is the original work yours that you are accusing the guy of plagiarism? It is not a must to post on every thread. You even went ahead calling him a product of Nigerian failed educational system. You have exposed how stupid you are. If you've got nothing meaningful to contribute, just f.cuk off. Mr 'Sabinus'. |
Clean ride. What's the milage? 800k and i'll send someone for inspection on monday. Serious buyer. |
Why would somebody even think of buying a device/gadget he/she cannot afford/maintain? What's so special about BB that some users are making other non-BB users look like they aint normal? Someone recently asked for my pin and i told her i aint got no BB and she couldnt believe me! Why would a student spend his/her poor parents hard earned money just to own a BB while his/her poor parents go to bed hungry everyday. I think it is plain stupidness. BB is a very important tool in the business world today for people who have the need for it, but these days most users (eapecially students just wanna keep up with the Jonses by owing a BB. |
An Osu person is supposed to be an outcast. WTF! Are they not humans? Is it not the sae blood that flows through their veins? We discriminate against other humans, yet we all claim to be christians. For Petes sake, this is 2012! When i was much younger, i thought Osu's were aliens/monsters with horns and tails! Never knew they were humans. Bikonu, anyi bu ndi igbo na eji aka anyi ebutelu onwe anyi nkpali (always washing our dirty linen in public), oo ife nine a na eme ndi Yoruba na eji akpali anyi na NL. Onye mepelu thread a (Afam4ever), gini bu ebum na obi gi? Ugbolo one ka ifugoolu ndi Yoruba ka fa mepelu thread na akoto ndi be fa? O jokwalu njo. Tommorrow we'd be playing the victims card when insulted by others! |
I'm not an educator per se, but the only time i was opportuned to teach was during my NYSC in Kwara state. To my greatest surprise, SS1 students were being taught how to recite A,B,C,D in their English classes! I also found out that most of the teachers do not follow the school curricula. They're either too lazy to teach or they're not just motivated. These students will of course be promoted to the next class since nobody fails in schools these days. What do you expect the students to do when they are faced with an external examination like WAEC? |
How come the number of people living below $1 a day almost doubled between 2004 and 2010? This has shown that this PDP government has nothing to offer this country. The number of Nigerians going to bed on empty stomach everyday is more that the total population of the UK and France combined, yet we want to achieve vision 20/2020. If nothing is done and done fast, by 2020 only about 0.01% of the population would live above the poverty line and guess who that 0.01% would be? Our politicians of course! |
pazienza:My bad! Maybe 'Inyo gwee' is not used in Ogidi town, but i'm very sure of Obosi and Ojoto. My granny is from Obosi and she uses 'inyo gwee' up to this day to mean 'have u returned?'. I'm interested in knowing some typical Ogidi words that other Idenmili towns dont use. |
NRI PRIEST:I'm a true son of the GREAT IDENMILI, i am from Oba town (we share common boundary with Umuoji). The 'inyo gwee' phrase is widely used in my town too, just like you said by the elderly. It is also well used in other Idenmili towns like Ogidi, Nkpor, Obosi and Ojoto. Idenmili/Onitsha dialect is a very unique one that one cannot mistaken. I've been following this interesting thread from the beginning and noticed that what an earlier poster Ada Ide (i dont think she knows what that means) posted was nothing close to our beautiful Idenmili dialect. Nwannem jisi ike, Idenmili ayi amaka. Daalu rinne. |
Core Idenmili: Gini bu afa i = What's ur name? Ichogo ili nni kita = Do you want to eat now? I jero afia? = You didnt go to the market? Asili asogbue i = You like gossip Nwanne onwero ife na eme = Bro, nothing is happening Bunye m oche afu = Give me that chair Inyo gwee? = Have u returned? Isisigo/Isichago nni = Have u finished cooking? Iga afu ife nma eme i = You'll see what i'll do to u |
I dont think eating at the funeral of an elderly person who died at a ripe age (say 80 and above) is wrong, but doing that at the funeral of someone who died in his/her prime is not proper. I once attended the funeral of a 14year old and believe me, i saw villagers (mostly elderly men) fighting over drinks! It was very sickening! |
9jacrip: We never knew u guys want to leave too, then what are you waiting for? Why are u dying in silence? What attempts have u made to secced? I thought the Igbos are the only people unhappy with the happenings in Nigeria. Yorubas are just spineless. Cowards! |
Useless Nigerian police wey no fit arrest culprits, the one wey dem try arrest, dem still allow am escape. And for those calling GEJ names, is GEJ now a policeman? |
@Silakabuwa, you are a big F.O.O.L. Didnt you read the post well where it was said that the arms belong to the Ghanian? Your hatred for the Igbos/Christians has beclouded your sense of reasoning. Burukutu-drinking-arsehole-mallam like you. |
uche13:You are a big F.O.O.L. So people that have one event/ceremony to attend during xmas should not travel? Or what is wrong in someone joining his kith and kin to celebrate the xmas in his village after spending the whole year in the city? Or would you blame someone who kept N8,000(which ordinarily is more than enough) for his transport back to Abuja from Onitsha who got to the park and noticed that transport fare to ABJ has quadrupled? |
Some fools are here wasting their precious time arguing over nothing while your leaders/politicians (Yorubas, Igbos, Hausas, Ibibios, Kalabaris, Tivs etc) are looting you black and blue. Do you really think Fashola gives a Bleep about an area boy like Eko Ile being a Lagosian or does Peter Obi know of a pro-Anambra character called Chino11? Keep deceiving yourselves on NL. Eeediots! |
Stay 2 months without a phone/laptop? Definitely NOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Not just a phone/laptop but one with Internet access. It would look as if I'm cut off from the rest of the world without them. |
My candid advice to MB youths, ' Na lie, una must remain with the core north, it's too late to start disassociating urselves from the hausa/fulani after dinning with them for donkey years. To an average southerner, there is no difference between you fools and the abokis' Eediots! |
alj_harem:Hypocrisy is one deadly disease. Now you know that the problem in Nigeria has nothing to do with ethnicity. But you Alhaji Boko Haram is always the first to call the Igbos in every crime committed in Nigeria. Take it or leave it, Prof Aluko betrayed the late Ikemba who was even agitating for another Yoruba man (Ogundipe) to be at the helm of affairs. Sorry Ikemba, your detrabalised/open minded nature made you loose the civil war. RIP. |
alj_harem:Ewu hausa, you and your illiterate almajiri brothers are the least of our problems now. Go and address the issue of Boko Haram in your desert encroached north before spewing trash here. Nama like you. |
This Aluko guy has gone senile. He just waited for Ojukwu to die before he said all these crap. He betrayed a man that trusted him with all his life. A man that consulted him before he made any arrangement. This has shown Nigerians who the Yorubas are. I swear, they are the problem we are facing as a country. Forget the Igbos, the Hausas, the Ijaws, the Ogonis, the Idomas, the Fulanis etc, the day the Yorubas cease being Nigerians, the day this country would live in peace. So they were not comfortable with the way things were going pre 1966, but they lacked the balls to make the bold move. Hear them, 'the day the Igbos leave the confederation, the day we would leave'. Buncha cowards. |
Bleep any 9ja gal who thinks i'll spend all my life earnings just to satisfy her. The most funny part is that even those that work still expects their boyfriends to pay their bills even when they earn 2 times what the poor boy earns. Whoever gave them that mentality. Those golddiggers go hear am when dem jam a guy like me. Buncha lazy heediots! |
babsanus:So na during NYSC wey you kiss babe for the first time? What did you spend the 4/5 years in the university doing? Chei, o boy i pity you, konji go don kill you. ![]() |
I am 29 now and i have never kissed anyone. ![]() |
May your soul RIP. Adieu Ikemba. You were a brave man! You live in the heart of every true Igbo man. All your dreams and aspiration for the Igbo nation shall become reality someday. Odogwu nwoke, jee ije i nke oma. |
~Bluetooth: Diligence:It's very unfortunate that tribalism has beclouded some peoples sense of reasoning. Why insult 2 respected gentlemen when none of you is known outside his village. None of you can achieve one-tenth of what these 2 great men achieved in your entire miserable lives. F.O.O.L.S. |
When i was in Naija as a banker, a girl came to open an account, while filling the form she chose her boyfriend as her next of kin and i was like, are you ok? |
No wonder GEJ called them rascals. Agberos. |
Prof Achebe has shown once again that we still have Nigerians one can emulate. How i wish the younger generation would learn from this erudite scholar and not the thieves that loot our treasury. I duff my cap for you prof. |
What kinda intimidation is this? SW and political thuggery. |
