Why did the driver overtake a convoy of military vehicles in a north eastern village if not that he's asking to get shot at?
simple! most of the people commenting contrary to this are failing to realize its a terrorist laden zone and every precaution needs to be carried out. Tired of reading last facebook posting of soldiers before they were killed by the insurgents. If the man is really as schooled as he claimed he should have known better after all those chaps are even there risking their lives cos of people like him what would it cost to be a bit patient? If na me sef the back of the convoy i go follow till we reach the destination or turn off point seriously where could possibly be safer in those places?

The whole thing was caused as a result of GEJs visit to Lagos last week after all the police men were gathered and FCMB was robbed this place got flooded because the boat the robbers used pushed most of the water this way and as people were drinking bottle water due to the heat from the hot sun GEJ caused by visiting Lagos that day people started drinking bottled water after which they dropped the bottles when they heard of the robbery into canals because GEJ was in Lagos the channels were blocked the water did could not get back and this is the result from GEJs visit to Lagos. It was GEJs fault. All this is what GEJs fault. All what you are seeing is GEJs fault.

May almighty Allah open thr brains nd eyes to read nd interpret correctly d words written in d holy book.

I don't believe this is a religious war,its jst d Developed countries (US,UK,France nd others) toying with other countries.

Also let's get this right, writing in Arabic doesn't mean it's Islam or Muslims @ war, Arabic is a language not a religion so any warlord or wicked individual can write in Arabic BUT that doesn't makes he or she a Muslim

MODIFIED

Let's b mature nd stop the insult. Honestly, one of d problems in this world his religion. Have u ever ask urself why r u a christian or Muslim.
Think about this, Have u ever seen or heard of Sango worshiper fighting ogun worshiper, since we hardly hear of that shd we now conclude that God is always on ther side?
Let's b realistic when it comes to religious discussion because only God can judge.

No matter hw small ur generation/family, there will surly be a christian, muslim, idol worshiper. All we need is peace.
It baffles me when Muslims speak like this.
Mutallab or what is his name and then the Uwais son are both part of the developed world toying with other countries abi? A clear and present danger such as this and you still choose to be oblivious of the realities? If sincere muslims who are truly against this do not own up and begin to deal with this issue as sincerely as they should but would rather come up with silly remarks such as these they really should not blame anyone who generalizes them in a bad light.
whats all this nonsense?
God forbid!
Politics › Re: No Gains For Almajiri Schools’ Graduates – Fashola by refreshrate: 9:41pm On Mar 13, 2015
People really should take time to understand conditions precedent on an issue before talking. I know of a guy here in Lagos trained as an engineer who sends his kids to a muslim primary school here in Lagos so devout to this Islamic thing that they dont even go to school on fridays. Now on saturdays and sundays they are made to attend Arabic classes to further improve on their i dont know i guess religiousness if i might call it that. Now the other day i went to see this guy and his i think 5 year old son whilst lying down on the chair playing with his leg like any kid his age would do only thing is this kid is reciting a verse of the Quran off his head like hes reciting any nursery rhyme.
This is in Lagos, where we have more than enough 'good schools' for kids his age so to speak like Fashola is trying to discredit.
The kids parents are educated with at least university degree or is that not enough to qualify them as such?
Yet they choose this form of education for their kids IN LAGOS!
How then do you expect the people from the regions where these almajiri schools who are obviously less exposed if i could be excused to use that term and shouldnt be taken out of context to actually embrace the kind of educational expectations Fashola is speaking of here?

I used to respect this man alot but its obvious hes a totally different person from what i thought he was and i must say am totally disappointed to hear not only this but a couple of other senseless utterances hes been making lately. Seriously like someone asked is this what we should be hearing from a SAN?

Vicjustice:
There is a line between Anger and Displeasure, please, find the line and use either word appropriately.
You have an adage that says "silence is the best answer for a fool", so, i think i was being considerate to have replied rather than keeping silent like others who saw the post and kept silent.
Well, i don't always have to ignore undesired questions, sometimes, I exercise my rights to express my feelings.

You came to attack me because, you too are with similar mindset, you expect people to do the unnecessary hard work of repeatedly writing the list of documents for every individual like you:
In all fairness i actually see reason with @vicjustice. Thing is if one looks carefully through the thread i dare say its pretty explanatory on most of these questions being raised again.
ill give you two scenarios ok three.
in my own case i took time to read through the whole thread whilst getting my application set. Got all the required stuff and processes based on what i gathered from the thread. i was initially refused not cos i didnt get it right but cos the ECO actually was just being . . . let me not talk as it has been resolved.
Anyway when this was the case my cousin advised to get a lawyer who was in the uk to follow through the process of getting the decision changed and all that. i came back here while trying to do that and was advised by @Justwise on the issue even with the anger and all in me then, he still managed to keep a calm demeanor and encouraged me on the steps to take even when i came out sounding completely ignorant on some issues. You know what? i followed his counsel and voila i got the visa meanwhile the uk lawyer was still talking about handling God knows what and telling me what it would cost.

So heres my advice people, ive read loads of success stories on this thread and i myself am an example. i know its quite a number of pages but seriously if you want something bad enough i dont think reading to know how to go about it should be that much of an issue and to me this thread pretty much covers it with plenty case studies. You know sometimes i pray the embassy staff dont even make the mistake of coming to the thread and understand the 'odu' we get here for free...but then again what do i know?

So people please dont get upset with @vicjustice hes actually right to be upset being asked certain questions that already had been dealt with (albeit severally) when actually he could be dealing with new ones to improve the thread qualitatively just cos they wouldnt take time to read things through.

Good afternoon @justwise, My brother was refused visa and was told he has limited right to appeal. He was given ten years ban because the date of arrival stamped here in MM airport is different from the official date recorded by the commission. However, we noticed that his old passport ( the one that contained a 6 month visa and two 2 year visa, all expired) was not returned. Only the renewed passport was returned. Here is my question, Do they have the right to withhold the passport. Thanks
Sorry if you dont mind my asking how did he get a different date at MM airport stamped as against official date recorded by the commission?

This shouldn't have made frontpage. I see Keke and D1 doing their usual boring thing of standing by the corner talking too much nonsense about; "baba Keks and D1, bringing you the Grammies live from the USA" and managing to interview stars who have lost their glory or those unfortunate not to have front row seats.

These men were the bomb at a time, but they are not anymore! It either they change their game to be in tune with reality or they quit the game! No one in his right senses would leave E! And other channels showing the red carpet at the Granny to watch ' Baba Keks and D1' clown around.

I think the letter sent by your company to explain the holiday was unnecessary and not clear thus was misinterpreted by them. They should have just introduced you as their staff, how much you earn and the fact that you have permission to go on leave that period. Not too late, they can still do so. You can explain in the additional information why you think they were wrong but don't sound like you are accusing them of being high on Christmas spirits.

If you have no other source of income other than your job then your salary account should not be showing money that is not your salary.

Like i said before...there is nothing you can do now other than to reapply and point out ECO's mistake, use the blank space in the form or separate paper to explain the situation.
Much obliged sir.

will do just that

thing is how do i apply again when i already used my email address to apply and to create my visa application process on the website?
Travel › Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 2 by refreshrate: 3:02pm On Jan 14, 2015
justwise:
That lies the problem, if you claimed to be earning 234,000 monthly and presented your salary account then that account should only contain your salary and not any unexplained money on it.

You have more money in that account than 2-3 months salary that should have reflected on it, you should have explained where the other money came from.

Yes reapplying means going through the process again.
Thank you sir, but what he said was i had submitted a statement that showed no evidence of deposits.
Who runs an account and collects only salary on it?

Sorry for being such a bother its just if i had a colleague who treated a clients request like this and it was brought to my notice seriously id have to question hes credentials.

Sorry just to be clear on this it means i have to include a letter or how do i point out their folly when reapplying this time around?
