Iran cannot be the target because Israel can never wage a direct and successful war with Iran. That's a fact. You overrate Israel too much.

Israel does not have the stomach to wage war against Iran, not to mention on multiple fronts against Islamic radical groups. There is a reason why the US quickly rushed two of its aircraft carrier strike groups to the Med immediately the IDF started it's operation against Hamas. Israel does not have the ability to wage war on multiple fronts at the moment, which the US knows and which is what exactly the Iranian side through its proxies is looking for.

Uncle Sam has been sending backdoor messages to Iran that it does not seek to engage it militarily. Man, Iran is no joke militarily otherwise, the US and its proxies would have created an excuse to invade and wage war on it since time immemorial.

What Hezbollah is doing in the South of Lebanon is "baiting" Israel to escalate further deep into Lebanon, a trap and the consequences of which the US understand perfectly, hence the recent US warning to Israel not to take that route.

It's funny how some of you simply write off Iran's ability to wage war of any type.

All the war games scenarios that the US war planners have gamed against Iran turned out to be a disaster for them. In all, they could not win a direct war with Iran without massive damage to itself and it's interest across the region.

When Trump took out Suleimani and dares Iran to retaliate and touch any of its asset in the region, the Iranian called their bluff and even told them where the missiles would hit. They struck all the way from Iran deep into Iraq, targeting the US military base over there. Well, we were told by the US presstitude that there were no casualties. But it later turned out that there were indeed casualties and the US shamefully swept it under the carpet because they knew they cannot afford to wage a direct war with Iran. That incident was one of the reasons General Miley never had a good relationship with Trump.

So, if Iran could do it then, what makes you think they cannot do it now?. Touch them and find out.

The US is currently mounting pressure on the IDF war room not to escalate tensions with Lebanon for obvious reasons: Iran will simply have a reason to enter the war via full supply to Hezbollah, something that the US wants to avoid by every means. Even Netanyahoo in his madness knew it would be catastrophic for Israel to have a second front on the north, especially against a better armed and stronger Hezbollah. But Gallant and his crazy IDF war room mosquitoes are pushing Netanyahoo to take it further into Lenanon, another disaster that's waiting to happen.

Just the little skirmishes with Hezbollah across the border, and they have already lost about 40 soldiers and dozens of military machinery. Currently, Israel is spending around $260 million a day waging war against Hamas, a militant group that has no airforce or navy force, no real air defense system, and no APCs or tanks. Imagine if Lebanon decides to back Hezbollah to enter the war in full swing? Even if Israel would prevail at the end, at what cost? War in the modern era is no joke.

One thing that is helping Israel right now is the lack of consensus among the key Arab nations in the region (and I sincerely hope it continues that way for the greater good). But when push comes to shoves, some of those countries like Qatar, Jordan, pulling back their feet right now may be forced to act because the likelihood that their government would be overrun by their angry citizens is higher on a scale than not. It's then you would understand the massive influence Iran has in that part of the world.

As per Algeria, nobody expects them to enter into the war. What happened in the Algerian paliament was more of a symbolic move, an emotional response to the footage of massive civilian death of women, children directly targeted in Gaza by the IDF. But again, that also is sign of how fragile the region is at the moment. Anything can happen.

You mean to say all of Hamas fighters are in or under the hospital where they can be wiped out like flies?

So where are those rockets still flying from massively in Gaza into Israel if Hamas is already surrounded or if most of them have been killed already? You need to learn more about war of attrition. I would not be surprised if it's just a pocket of Hamas terrorists (if any) that are within that area.

Truth be told, Israel still has a long way to go in eliminating Hamas fully.
