You ain’t see nothing yet . Prices can only get further depressed as the full effects of the economy downturn continue to manifest . People should wait for later in the year , Q3/Q4 as people without reserves and that over extended /over leveraged themselves try to bail out of properties for cash

My architect was hustling me early this year to get a land at pinnock , am sure among the most expensive real estate in lekki at 150 to 200k par sqm , started calling again now that prices are coming down . Told him to chillax it will come down more , we just start cool cool
How much lower can property prices actually go? Considering a lot of the properties in Lagos at least are bought with ‘stolen’ funds. Not that many people are in a hurry to sell. It’s partly why Lekki house prices/rent keep increasing even as half of them are vacant. Do market forces have that much of an impact?

I see you were happy saying you now worth 100M. That's just about $250,000 and you might have been hustling for roughly 20 years.

If your ticket is a one way ticket from Lagos and you're on tourist visa, no airline will allow you boarding to U.S, I'm very sorry but this lie will not work oooo, do you know what they called APIS? APIS is Advanced Passenger Information System used by CBP to identify travelers to U.S and to fish out likely drug mule, terrorist etc.
3 months is U.S is a no no.... eat your L and look for another country.
He’s just trying to test his story. All this talk about agents and one way ticket is not true. Even if this was the issue, would it take 3 months to be resolved? How did he stay 3 months in the US without working? A single man with a job not a mother who just birthed. He should stop insulting our intelligence and come clean. Instead, he’s busy castigating the VO and playing self righteous talking about appealing. No wonder the VO was annoyed.

Thanks for the reply. The first time I went for the visa interview I was refused and after 4 weeks I applied again with same info and got the visa. I was neither married or with kids, I went on vacation but my travel plans changed, I will give the reasons why.

The ticket I bought from an agent ended up being one-way even though I paid for a return ticket, he got the date I was traveling on the ticket but never fixed the date I was returning even though I reminded him severally before we both parted at the airport (don't ask me how that is possible) grin, so when it was time for me to return, I realised there was no history of a return ticket, the agent promised to rectify the issue week after week until it became evident I had to buy another ticket. That's just one reason why, I don't want to share the other for personal reasons.

I'm convinced the refusal was on the grounds of the travel ban, just to make it more tough for Nigerian's to travel there and nothing more cuz the VO was very mean to everyone he attended too, if I knew I would have just switched queue undecided
Liar.

It happened so fast, from what I remember:

VO: Where are you going to?
Me: I'm going to New Jersey, I will be staying in a hotel there but New York is where I'm visiting mostly
VO: Why do you want to travel there?
Me: it's my annual leave so I want to travel for my vacation
VO: How long will you be
VO: Why did you stay from June till August?
Me: my plans changed so I had to stay longer
VO: so what we're you doing for 3 months?
VO: if you're gonna lie think of something more intelligent
VO: you don't qualify for a visa, try again next time etc.
Me: I shook my head in disgust & left undecided
You took a 3 month vacation from work. Are you sure you didn’t tell them 2 weeks then when you applied? You obviously breached your visa terms and are clearly a flight risk. It’s already difficult for fresh applicants with your profile to get approved not to add a clear overstayer. Pray the VO has not noted anything on your file

Good Morning Everyone and happy new year. I have been an adherent reader of this thread from the part one up till this day. My special thanks to the folks who added to loves here...Lady G, and seyewest and other contributors ,God bless immensely.

Please, being a first time poster, permit me if my write up is lengthy. I need your advice as I'm I'm about to apply for a tourist Visa to the US for the first time. So, here goes my story.

I'm 33 years old and still much single due to some personal reasons. I used to work in a media house back in 2016 and it was on one of those official trips to Ivory coast that I met this Lady who's much older than me but we grew in love and we've been courting for three years now. Along the line from 2016, I quit my media job and delved into Music production and so far so good, we doing OK at least. My girl friend who is white has been here two times between 2017 and 2019, and now it all seems like I'm not taking the relationship serious because her family wants to meet me too, the only thing standing in the way of our wedding here...sincerely, I don't eben want to migrate to that place....My Nkwobi here and evening beer and might life means the world. She's willing to live on Victoria island as she loved it but the family won't approve because she comes from an Hawaiian family with strong cultural values . so here is my dilemma

1. My cousin who's in Texas feels if she sends me and invitation letter, that would count against me as the VO would quickly interprets me as a golddigger trying to use my girl as escape route

2. He said being single is a no no and that I'm better of lying that I'm married ,and that's what I don't want to do

3. He also said my job line doesn't show a tie to my country. That a music producer as a job don't catch any serious person's fancy and that I should use his dad oil company as frontier but all these lies is what I don't really want.

4. I have a decent fund but I didn't build it up....the inflow isn't consistent and most ofnmy clients often pay by cash and I fit don blow the money reach half before I deposit

I'm planning to go this June , on her birthday as that's when all members of the family would be there and this means the world to her.

I want candid and sincere advice on what my odds could be and how I should go about it. I would appreciate . thanks

@seyewest........nice video on your trip, please share more. Gracias
Slim odds. All red flags present.

They won’t even send her back at the POE. The worst that can happen will happen upon renewal but if you are done having all your babies- one day they will renew for you even if they reject you. You are better off with your baby getting citizenship now and you not getting your visa than having your baby in Nigeria and still not getting a renewed visa.

You better don’t mind this people telling you to go and renew a visa that is still valid. If they deny you you have lost everything. I only wonder if they would have done the same thing or advised their sister or wide to do the same if they were in your situation.

I'm not entirely going for just visit.
The plan is to seek Asylum as lesbian in (Canada)..Sorry if this sound awkward..
I told my uncle my plan though, asked if I can get an invite from Him and if I could stay at His place for some couple of weeks before I proceed to Border to seek for it. That's the plan all along...
I'm sponsoring my trip but ofcourse I can't tell them that. The plan is to talk to my uncle and make it look like He's the one sponsoring everything..I don't know if anyone has used the method before but it seems it's the only option I have.I wish there was an alternative.
Telling them I just want to visit isn't convincing enough I know, plus the fact that i don't have any travel history and I'm single too...I'm just confused though..But I really wanna leave..
Ludicrous. Canada has the most open and receptive immigration processes and in the usual Nigerian way you want to circumvent the process. People that have immigrated through Express entry and PNP don’t have two heads. Channel your energy and scheming towards the right things. You will most likely be denied a US Visa.

VO : How did you meet her?

At this point i notice my balls started shrinking, this is the red flag

Me : Social media sir, Facebook to be precise.

VO : Hmm... typing typing typing. I'm sorry, he handed a green love letter to me.

Sorry about your experience. The issues the VO raised have all been discussed extensively in this forum. Some steps to resolve the address and payment issues have been shared. Refer to previous posts. Try to address them before your next application so you’ll be better prepared.

Motherof1:
I went for my interview today! The v.o was so mean, she had denied every one before me. So when it was my turn, she had a straight face one, and requests my passport.? She asked my reason for going to the US, I said vacation and to take my son for to the(she cuts me off but I continued anyways) hospital for medical appointment.
Then she asks why he wasn’t applying for the vusa with me. I said he is a US Citizen. Then she shook her head. She asked how much I paid in the hospital, I told her $6400( hospital and obgyn) She asked if I made change of intent. I told her I had sent the email out, (because at that time, that was what we had to do)
I brought out the receipts and gave her. She went through it, and asked my I received a discount. And I said I paid what I was asked to pay. Because I paid my delivery fees even before my delivery. So she said no, I had received a discount. Then asked for my son’s birth certificate, and asks me to to read the address on it, I did. Apparently the address says Texas. She said you see, you said you reside in Texas, so you received a discount. I insisted that I didn’t, and showed her the document for early self Pay patients, the hospital had asked me to sign. She didn’t go through it. She Just kept her straight face whilst drinking her tea. Then she asked if health care was so cheap why do you think Americans would complain? At this point I go tired. She handed me the yellow paper, as well as my passports and we made eye contact, then I walked away. She neither asked for any other documents, nor asked any other question.

I felt really bad, never been denied any visa.
I kept farting silently because I was nervous.

Why do you think he will be denied?
The asylum was granted 2 years to his wife and children. He stayed back in Nigeria, and visited twice using B1/B2 and returned. It isn't stated anywhere he wants to get legal stay status based on his wife and children's status.

PS: I am just asking why for information purposes. I do not know or have an expert opinion on this matter. I just think it is a straight forward issue that he should not be denied

Hi MissDee007,

I need you to know that this has absolutely nothing to do with you.Im Hotstepper mentioned it for future reference cos of mamas that read comments not to accept anything from kind Canadians and also for your visa renewal purposes..cis like she said these nurses are being paid by the government which is very true even though they tell you otherwise...For mamas that know,This is also similar to what is being done in the US and that’s why they don’t want us in their country anymore.

I had my baby a while back and had m sure we used the same doctor (cos it’s the same amount), however some other fees are different.( maybe it’s been reduce, who knows‍♀️)

Conserve your energy on your baby and take good care of him , If you have questions/clarifications please ask.
@missdee007 where is the attack? Improve your comprehension skills! Guilty conscience!

The idea of this forum is to share true storiesand recieve guidiance not judgement, unfortunately pple r lying terribly, i won’t stop saying d truth. Some lie because of our supreme court judges on d forum, when u contact dem privately u will hear d koko on many issues.

I will give an e.g a friend used prince george and paid $14k my cousin paid $19k both same duration of admission, both bills were sent to me.

Besides ur not a VO or CBP.
The likes are from her original birthing experience post which she modified. She shouldn’t call people mad especially when there was no provocation. It reflects very poorly on her.

A keen observer of this thread.

I had read her posts and there was no indication of her insinuating anything negative about your experience. Unless your conscience is perturbed lol.

Deleting all your posts and calling people mad is quite unnecessary in my opinion. But hey, whatever floats your boat. Thank God for quotes though. Maybe try deleting those lol. Bye!

Not sure you read my response properly. I said what the nurse told me and said however I’m going to my family doctor based on the advice that was given. Of course I was worried seeing as I’ve already seen the nurse and I shared what she said to me.

Your responses seem a little off.. As regards the fees I paid.. maybe it’s been reduced? Your use of the word maybe is confusing me? Are you implying that I intentionally paid less? Because I don’t understand why I said I paid an amount which I have receipts from the hospital for and you’re here saying maybe? Do you want to call the hospital to confirm if I paid less? I shared my experience, it might have been different from yours but it in no way negates mine. Do have yourself a wonderful day.
There’s no need to be defensive.

If this has been your plight, what happened to exploring the Canada option which is legal? Your wife could have moved to Canada legally with the children rather than abusing your visa. You are embarking on a fraudulent path (your POE statement confirms this). Don’t act all righteous when you are doing the wrong thing. Anyway, your choices will catch up with you

When ur manager is still recovering from a gun shot in the ankle and u r paying thousands of Naira that has accumulated in to millions in treating him
Come back and say this same thing when u pay SARS to get the button of it and they bring u no result.

Don't just play the judge of character,my 5 ur old daughter has been to more countries that u can ever visit in ur life. Staying back in the States is not becoz I can't send them to good schools and afford meals on the table. It is bcoz this bleeped up country scares the shit out of me.

I cant really say i made a mistake coz i thot about it before execution. I never thot Trump would take this draconian measures to tighten up borders. I earn a very good pay but as a business man the future of this country scares me hence my decision
We got our B1/B2 visa in 2016 as a family and also traveled as a family just once . Subsequently,it was just my wife and kids. They traveled twice on that visa and on the their third trip,i made them stay back. I renewed my b1/b2 ( alone) about 3 months before expiry. I have a valid visa but going on that trip scares me. I don't know what to expect at the POE considering my family already overstayed.
Even if i am able to get into the US,what are my chances of renewal coz staying back in the states is totally not an option.
So they were just going to stay there as illegals? How were they going to convert to permanent residency? They were going to hide forever or what? Your family’s record is clear in their system. Expect a tough POE experience. This is why they refuse indiscriminately now.
