Bialegend:If I remember very well Benjamin Adekunle, Obasanjo and Alani Akinrinade in that order, were the Commanders of 3rd Marine Commando that liberated PortHarcourt in the Biafra war. Anyway that is irrelevant now, MEND should be sensible in their agitations and beware of hitting wrong target, if they loose relevant sympathy they would not win. |
Good, now VP, IGP, Chief of Defense staff, Defense Minister are all from Niger Delta. Let see how they would fight there own MEND. |
Policewomen can be good or bad wives since they are human beings just like other women, However, you must be very very very clean, if not, if you broke up with then either before or after marriage? You would know the real meaning of "Police is your FRIEND" |
Lekside44, I agree with you, your view had actually been raised in PTA meeting in my children's school, some of the questions are more or less assessment of parents' or guardians. However it is not a waste of time but need to be a test for the child alone. My own contribution at the meeting was that parents should not solve the problems or go on the internet for the kids, if they went back to the school with their own effort solutions alone the school would be able to measure their understanding. |
I can tell you all that M END is getting their end just like anything, the end is always the loudest, every war ends with the weaker side attacking a wrong target, Japan did their own in Pearl Harbour, Napoleon did his own in Waterloo, just watch it. |

Why you can't spell. THIS SHOULD RATTLE YOUR BRAINS A LITTLE If you've learned to speak fluent English, you must be a genius! This little treatise on the lovely language we share is only for the brave. Pursue at your leisure, English lovers. Reasons why the English language is so hard to learn: 1) The bandage was wound around the wound. 2) The farm was used to produce produce. 3) The dump was so full that it had to refuse more refuse. 4) We must polish the Polish furniture. 5) He could lead if he would get the lead out. 6) The soldier decided to desert his dessert in the desert, 7) Since there is no time like the present, he thought it was time to present the present. A bass was painted on the head of the bass drum.9) When shot at, the dove dove into the bushes. 10) I did not object to the object. 11) The insurance was invalid for the invalid. 12) There was a row among the oarsmen about how to row. 13) They were too close to the door to close it. 14) The buck does funny things when the does are present. 15) A seamstress and a sewer fell down into a sewer line. 16) To help with planting, the farmer taught his sow to sow. 17) The wind was too strong to wind the sail 18) After a number of injections my jaw got number. 19) Upon seeing the tear in the painting I shed a tear. 20) I had to subject the subject to a series of tests. 21) How can I intimate this to my most intimate friend? There is no egg in eggplant nor ham in hamburger; neither apple nor pine in pineapple. English muffins weren't invented in England or French fries in France(Surprise!). Sweetmeats are candies while sweetbreads, ! which aren't sweet, are meat. Quicksand works slowly, boxing rings are square and a guinea pig is neither from Guinea or is it a pig. And why is it that writers write but fingers don't fing, grocers don't groce and hammers don't ham? If the plural of tooth is teeth, why isn't the plural of booth beeth? One goose, 2 geese. So one moose, 2 meese? Doesn't it seem crazy that you can make amends but not one amend. If you have a bunch of odds and ends and get rid of all but one of them, what do you call it? Is it an odd, or an end? If teachers taught, why didn't preachers praught? If a vegetarian eats vegetables, what does a humanitarian eat? In what language do people recite at a play and play at a recital? Ship by truck and send cargo by ship? Have noses that run and feet that smell? How can a slim chance and a fat chance be the same, while a wise man and a wise guy are opposites? You have to marvel at the unique lunacy of a language in which your house can burn up as it burns down, in which you fill in a form by filling it out, and in which, an alarm goes off by going on. English was invented by people, not computers, and it reflects the creativity of the human race, which, of course, is not a race at all. That is why, when the stars are out, they are visible, but when the lights are out, they are invisible. |

baconline:Make no mistake my Brother, they are not daft at all, they are thieves and wicked ones for that matter, daft do not get the best of things for himself, they send their children to best schools, get them best jobs, buy up all businesses etc etc and you call that daftness? They may lack developmental of ideas and selfish but I wont call them daft. |
strangleyo:The irony of the sad situation is that by the time oil dried up these thieves would have enjoyed at the expense of the masses of today. They would all die at the same period too. They may even steal enough to make their children the Kennedies of Nigeria. So something should be done now to make the government work. |
Get comprehensive insurance on the car from reputable company for a amount that would replace the car if stolen. Be security conscious, make sure the source of your income is clean and seek God's protection too. |

too much money can make someone insane and sometimes forget that not everything is on sale. |
okokomeji:@okokomeji, While agree with you on Nigeria old cargo politicians should give way for new ideas and that Nigerian politicians impoverishing the masses for their own enrichment, I do not see the link between Middle East and ABTI which is an American University run by Americans with several notable Nigerians on the board of trusties. I would like to know, also, which Middle Eastern country you see that is impoverishing their populace. which of them have you visited that the infrastructures and life quality is not at par with the best in the world I would like to know for my knowledge at least. |
Atiku was just a VP, VPs and Deputy governors are glorified errand boys moreso when they serve under strong bosses. Having said that I doubt if he could do better because the way politicians get to power in this country, too much interest would be paid back and in the end little or no money is left for development. Right now almost all our earnings are going for remunerations of political appointees, it is sad. |
ifele:According to Wale Ademoyega in is "Why we Struck", those Majors who were still imprisoned in the East during the war were released by Ojukwu to fight Nigeria for him, but most of them were still loyal to Nigeria and were fighting only to escape back to Nigeria side. Ojukwu got to know this with level of failures from their commands, Banjo inclusive, so he accused him of "coup" planning and was executed. Wale also claimed that even Nzeogwu was given formal burial by Nigerian Army on recognition after they killed him in an ambush. He maintained they all fought alongside Biafra just to stay alive since Nigeria left them to the mercy of Ojukwu. |

The real lesson from this death and others is that "man proposes and God disposes", Wacko Jacko is due for what he himself called "final curtain call" Europe tour this July, tickets completely sold out but God has another plan. We should do whatever we have opportunity to do well and be prepared. |
Wow!! Another closed chapter, are we all preparing our ends too, both in our deeds and thoughts, reflect. |
I think Mr Abati write up is misunderstood and read with shallow mind. The truth of the matter is that most music these days do not last while the musicians of yesteryears make evergreens song these days the music fade off months after release, also most of current musics are too identical in beats and lyrics that one would need to see the album to identify the artists. |
These Americans are good. WOW, 9 more minutes to go. |
spikedcylinder:which of them "abinuwaye" or "barrister"? ![]() |
RichyBlacK:It is really an unfortunate situation, the best that could happen is military put measures in place to forestall future occurrences but they make sure the protesters do not benefit from their protest all to discourage it. Military dictionary is not versatile, revolt is revolt and has same punishment no consideration for reason leading to it. I guess most questions at the tribunal are "yes" or "no" type too, so no too much freedom for the panel to vary the outcome. |
