I am happy that Obasanjo,Maurice Iwu,Mrs ayoka Adebayo,Dimeji bankole are alive today to see
their evil machinations being dismantled by the judiciary.
They should all hide their head in shame.
You left out "Saint" Dora Akuyuli, she was among them. Madam Ayoka will be wishing she was able to stand her ground against their intimidation, by now she would have become instant heroine.
Ironically, Ayoka is still the electoral officer Jega has for Ekiti for 2011 elections, lol

Congratulations to the winner and Thank God for the judiciary.

but what hapens to the illegal salary and decisions that Oni and his appointed workers have collected and made for the past three and half years?

it would have been better if next election could hold in January which would have allowed all court cases to be concluded before swearing in, now that the election would hold in April, jsut one month to the swearing in, similar situation is expected after 2011 electons.

Don't ask whether it can happen in Nigeria, go and ask the present flood victims at Mowe, Ajiliti, Ajegunle of Ikorodu axis of Lagos State. It took almost 2 weeks before Federal Emergency Rescue Team to respond to the cries of Lagos State Government for assistance. In Nigeria just don't get yourself in to trouble, you are on your own. You will only hear strong words over the media and that is the end of it.

Kidnapping: Soldiers Declare War In Abia

13 October 2010 00:11 Wisdom Patrick, Lagos   . .>
Kill 172, arrest 237, quiz 7 LG chairmen

The Joint Task Force (JTF) tackling the menace of kidnapping in the south-eastern part of the country yesterday allegedly killed 172 persons suspected to be members of the different kidnapping gangs that have been terrorising residents of Abia State and its environs.

President Goodluck Jonathan had ordered deployment of military personnel to Abia State in the wake of high-level insecurity, including kidnappings in that part of the country.

The kidnappers allegedly fell to the superior gunpower of members of the JTF during a gun duel at the different parts of the state. It was also gathered that some 237 suspected members of kidnapping gangs that have been operating in the state have been arrested by the task force. The JTF, it was also learnt, has so far questioned seven local government chairmen in Abia State alone.

A competent police source who disclosed this to LEADERSHIP in a telephone interview from Umuahia, Abia State capital, also added: “So far I can say we have succeeded by 70 percent, because business houses, including banks have opened for businesses. private schools have resumed. In short, lives have returned to normal and we hope to consolidate on this.”

The Inspector General of Police (IGP) Hafiz Ringim in a telephone chat stated that he can not confirm the casualty figure, “but I can tell you that, there have been casualties and we also made some arrests, including prominent Abia State residents. That is not the issue, the issue, is what we have been able to achieve in this short period and I can tell you that a lot have been achieved. Because banks in the state have returned back to work and there is relative peace in major cities of the state presently.”

The police boss stated further that some security operatives had soiled their hands in the dirty business of criminality, stressing that those found wanting have been identified and shall be dealt with accordingly.

Ringim said that his dream is to leave Abia state and its commercial city of Aba, in peace. “We want to leave Aba, the way Aba used to be in those days. We cannot afford the activities of criminals in our midst, there is law and order in this country and it must be respected by all residents of Nigeria,” the IGP stated.

He stated that his vision is to take kidnapping to zero level in Nigeria within the shortest possible time, arguing that no country progresses in the atmosphere of insecurity and fear. According to him, kidnapping is as worst as terrorism and armed robbery, stating that, every country that had advanced in the socio-economic life of the citizens must rise-up against criminalities of all phases.

He was among the most notable authority on the history of educational planning in Nigeria.
In 1955, he became the first Nigerian to earn a Ph.D. in Education.
He started his University teaching career in 1961 at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. Later moved to University of Ife during the Nigerian civil war.
He pioneered the NCE program at UNN by admitting Grade II teachers into a new two year degree program at the Faculty of Education. The proposal was subsequently adopted and in a few years led to the emergence of the Nigerian Certificate of Education.
UNN became the first Univeristy to award a bachelors degree in education, the first faculty in the country to do so under him.

His was strongest believer of teaching of native Languages in the schools.

How do we pray for a man who manipulated ICB shares to N45, when the price came crashing he went on all media telling people not to sell that they are doing something. That reminds me of Robin Hood, except that this one robed poor to pay rich. Anyway according to the attached 2008 AGM report Christians should pray him.

you know you do not need a tv show for that. start a blog. popularize it to the point where your blog is the blog to read. i know a nigerian girl who everyone follows her blogs. she has over a million subscribers. what does she talk about ? toyin subair, dele momodu, etc etc.
how much do you need to start a blog ? zero dollars. that will be a huge contribution. whip up sentiments through your blog.
The kind of govt in Nigeria would still shutdown the blog like Obj did to did to Sahara Reporters if they dont get derailed like Elendu eventually.

Its not the length of jail term, its the effect on her record, she has been jailed for criminal offences, she is now an exconfict, property loss would deal a great blow with her too.

you people have come again with your bizarre partisan politics

how can you equate a fight that was mostly between te governor and llwamakers with the anarchy in aba?

do you hear of  banks and businesses closing shop? are people in fear of leaving their homes?

instead of calling on your president to are calling on God

smh
What is happening in Abia is security issue while that of Ogun is constitutional, a blantant violation of it for that matter. Present Ogun case is almost the same with what happened in places where OBJ declared states of emergency. What is needed in Abia is for security apparatus to rise up to the challenge and clear the mess, if the government has genuine will to stem the ugly trend. But Ogun as of now is lawless. Remember the only difference between democractic and non democratic government is the legislature, there are always Executive and Judiciary arms in any kind of government. However, in both case the government is playing politics because election time is close.
PoliticsRe: Gej Should Declare A State Of Emergency In Abia State (aba): by Remii(m): 10:18pm On Sep 28, 2010
Its unfortunate that Abia has turned this, instead of Gov Orji to accept that this is a problem he should address, he was saying Lagos State should give Abia part of money and equipment those banks with headquaters in Lagos donated to Lagos to beef security in Abia, lol.

Those kidnappers are not fairies, those who negotiate ransome amount with them should be arrested and made to produce them.

As far as state of emergency is concerned, If GEJ cannot declear state of emegency in lawless Ogun State, I doubt if I would have the gut to do that in Abia.

God help those who have something to do at Abia State. Amen.
