OP, why looking for the most corrupt, why not the most relatively upright and them move on to improve from there. Why always want to advertise negatives. |
2sleek2NV:The awards are the Central Bank Governor of the Year for the entire world and that of the African continent. Congrats, SLS. Maybe the detractors would bury hatchets and work with him for the nations common good from now on. |
That is similar to what happens in Madona University, even brother and sister with same parents and surnames are not allowed to stand together. |
johnie:That is the same clause LASG used against FGN concerning the sale of Federal govt properties in Lagos, she went further to stalled the development of some and collected huge some of money from buyers of those she allowed. ![]() |
^^^^ there is also IDF ( Infrastucture Development Fee) payable on all new properties, apart from Title Perfection Fee which is 8 - 12 % of property value. e. g. Each buyer of the newly refurbished 1004 flats paid N1.2m to LASG as IDF. Yet they still have to provide themselves all basic amenities. Only road is the "dividend" of governance to the people. |
pocketndry:Iru are fermented locust beans. |
tpia1:am aware that tollways such as Beltway 8, Katy, among others in Houston, TX have non tolling ways running parallel with them, the difference is that the "free" road has traffic lights and junctions that slow you down also enteries into Hardy tollway are clearly shown so that you enter it willingly. |
^^^^ people living in Lekki area are not alien what happens overseas, what they are asking is some equity and fairness, these people are major income tax contributors to Lagos state, with 20% total emoluments taxation, some of these people pay more much as N5 - 8m per year, anyone who makes above N5m pays N1m to LASG, that in an area without any state public amenities apart from road. no public water etc. Tolling should be reasonable, not three within 20 km and there should be alternative routes, so that people take toll roads by choice. that is what is obtainable in the so called "Overseas". |
alimat 2:There is no reason to delay nikah, get married as soon as possible to combat the pressure of Zina. If your reason is economy, I like to say that resources spent these days on boy friend / girl friend relationship is enough to run a decent Muslim home both of your would grow together. From personal experience, I can tell you that marriage do bring blessing to couples, since both of your would be praying together. If I have my way my daughters would marry at 21 and the boys at 25, insah Allah. |
Islam is a religion of peace, majority of Muslims are against the actions of the so called terrorists, Muslim governments in Arab worlds are daily wagging wars against them, Pakistan is killing Talibans every days, KSA flies jet fighters across the border to Yemen for the same purpose. The center for US military intelligence to fight Iraq war is located in Qatar, Back in Nigeria, are we saying those soldiers and police confronting the fanatics every now and then are non Muslims? Those who killed the Boko haram rioters are most likely Muslims. The Islamic fanatics are very few and I believe jugding all Muslims with their actions is unfair. There are extremists in all other forms of religions too. Suicide bombers are new to Islam, there were none in the times of Muhammad (PBOH) or the times of the guided successive companions, infact the 1st recorded suicide killer was Samson in the bible and later the Japanese Kamikazes bombers in the WWII in 1940s. also the NIgerian northern leaders are not sincere to Islam, they refuse to give mass literacy to their people as done even in Arab world but gave their own children best of education at expence of the populace. |
http://tribune.com.ng/sat/index.php/news/2923-obasanjo-to-nigerians-i-am-not-dead.html Obasanjo to Nigerians: I Am Not Dead | Print | Written by Olayinka Olukoya, Abeokuta Saturday, 01 January 2011 Former president Olusegun Obasanjo has said that his death is not in the hands of any man but of God that created him. Obasanjo said this while speaking with journalists in Abeokuta on Friday, stating that he did not slump at the 70th birthday thanksgiving service of General Olu Bajowa (rtd) held at Igbokoda,Ondo State, last week, as widely reported. He said: “I did not slump but was choked in the church because of heat inside the church. The air conditioners and the fans were not working properly and I had to go and stay in my car and put on the AC for about three minutes and I felt okay. “I decided to go to my host’s house because I have not taken my breakfast. I was given two pieces of banana there which I ate and I later returned to the church. I was shocked three days after when I read in the newspapers that I slumped. It is part of the gimmick of selling newspapers. “My word to Nigerians is that wishes are not horses. People wish and God does not make it to happen. But I know that anybody created is bound to die sometimes. When my time comes, it will not be man that will decided, it is in the hands of God.” Obasanjo was reacting to the news of his death being spread round the country, saying that the rumour of his death was the seventh times since the eve of his inauguration as democratically elected president of the country. He told journalists that it was one of his friends who wanted to confirm whether the rumour was true that told him about it. The former president said further that those who indulged in spreading the “unholy gospel” would never give up, adding that some people have belief that when such rumour was being spread, the person in question would have long life, saying that he was not concerned with such beliefs. Obasanjo said 2011 would be a divine year for the sustenance of the nation’s unity in democracy. |

wow, those CD are less than $1 in Lagos. $7.5 what? |
^^^ yes, some of them looted Computer monitors taken them for televisions, lol |
Winning one LGA should not be a criteria, even Papa Awo consistently lost some places in Lagos and the West in general, Ibadan and Ogbomoso were some of the places but AG and later UPN would still carry majority at the end of the day. |
May her soul rest in peace. Simple swimming safety lesson s that you never give your hand or body part to a drowning person. You either stretch to him a stick or anything you can let go. A drowning person will catch a straw, even if its empty air. |

Akpabio of Akwa Ibom has been on Facebook long before G E J, at least my Akwa Ibom gets info from him on his page since The level of sycophancy in Africa is just unbelievable. People do and say whatever just to appease the "boss". Go to Osun State now, the same radio / tv broadcasters praising Oyinlola to the highest heaven last month have changed tune to Aregbesola. |
