FlirtyKaren: Nigerian-American singer Jidenna has been trending all day on Nigeria Twitter and we all know why. But just incase you have been under a rock, Jidenna said Igbos were in the Southeast Nigeria and that light skinned people are more likely to be kidnapped in Nigeria than dark skinned people because they are seen as more valuable. The singer, full name Jidenna Theodore Mobisson revealed in the VLad interview that he also had to protect himself during his father's burial in Nigeria by bringing in a lot of AK47s and employed military commandos.
You won't believe that singer Skales is now trending too just because he joined the Jidenna roast with the tweet above. Nigerians came down hard on him with the most insulting tweets ever.
http://www.lailasblog.com/2015/07/nigerians-roast-skales-on-twitter-after.html Skales nearly die.... If I were skales I would leave twitter for thEm.... First it was #wizkid now the #people. Means skales is a bullsh!t |
Career / Re: Hnd Or Bsc, Not A Factor For A Better Career. by remirez07(m): 3:11pm On Jul 11, 2015 |
Castos: Many have done things you'd never imagine just to live through each passing day. The issue of dichotomy between HND and BSC shouldn't way anyone down or make the other think and believe he/she is better and more favoured.
Most firms and government bodies might employ and promote people with BSC because there has been this frame of mind built round the two certs and not that the individuals involved cannot do the same job well enough. When you say that Poly graduates are Technicians (we know) but what about courses like, Accounting, Pub. Admin, Mass communication, and does it mean that there're Technicians and engineers in Architecture, Building tech in fact the whole school of environmental.
Not withstanding, many judge their dichotomy in terms of Jamb cut-off mark (that doesn't mean that someone who is in the Poly can't make such scores and better) what is big between 200 and 180 as cut-off marks (even at times Universities take it down to 180 due to mass failure in Jamb), I can rewrite next year and do better but I decided to follow the other way.
In this present time where unemployment is the order of the day, and the society is calling for skill acquisition, which cert is more favoured. Now a HND holder is qualified and can still work in that same firm he was rejected at and can also survive on his own due the skill acquired in school. Even in with OND, my friend is working in a bank and furthering his education through weekend program. I myself, as an Architectural student, I've made so many designs and am handling some sites as of now (with OND).
So please my dearest Nairaland siblings, in my own opinion, both certs does not guarantee a better future or make you a hotter cake but it sharpens your way to greatness through what you've done with it not what it has done for you.
OND or Non BSc aร far aร nija aร nation... All u need is favor of God and be collected... Some peoples don't even have all this degree of a thing and they are doing perfectly well. So forget certificate and seek God's favour. 1 Like |

Religion / Re: BVN & The *666 Mark* by remirez07(m): 8:41am On Jul 05, 2015 |
HENROSHUN: Hello, recent events in the banking sector has caused me to look into God's word and know that the rapture of the saints is no longer near but right at the door. It all started with SIM registration, then to NUBAN (ten digit bank account numbers), now we have BVN and NIN without which you cannot transact your business.
It is important to know these are consolidation of data for the mark of the beast which is an identity and money system. I have watched customers queue up and denied access to their money because they don't have BVN and by September 1st no transaction will hold without your NIN (national identity number). These are a build-up to the Mark of the Beast. You cannot buy or sell without it. Now BVN and NIN are no longer optional in transacting your banking business and the world is fast going cashless. Observing the speed and deadlines given, what will be the banking system in the next two years?
Brethren are we still playing church at this time? Jesus is coming for a church without spot or wrinkle. After the rapture comes the great tribulation, who can stand? If now is so hard for many how much more then? If you have a social network, BVN, SIM registration or NIMC, welcome to reality, your data is already captured. The only way out now is making rapture. You will be treated as a traitor if you refuse the code which will no longer be on plastic cards but on your right hand or forehead. It won't be visible to the eye but picked with a hand scanner everyone can afford.
This is a call to seriousness to everyone who has an ear to listen. If you are not born again, please do so now by accepting Jesus as your Lord and Saviour and live by God's standards. For many that are already born again, remember it must be a church without spot or wrinkle, so let go of all sin, malice and unforgiveness. Pray for every soul and the weak. He is no longer near, but right at the door. THINK ABOUT THE WORD. GOD HELP US ALL, AMEN everybody just dey talk him own.... Pls., ask him if he has not register his/her Sim number since he knows is satanic he shouldn't have done it. To protect ur transactions now is satanic? Lord pls have mercy ur child has understand you incorrectly. |

YOURMAN: Hey people! I don't know if this is the right section for this ..but if its not maybe the mods can help move it to the right section
After my graduation from one of the nigerian universities, I have been staying with my elder brother.. He's the second born as a lady is my parents first born.. But he's the first son.. Age of about 42+.. Before I got admission in school I do stay with him and after my university education, I went back to his place, because his house is big and spacious to contain me .. After about two to three months, I have been going to work with him I noticed something..
There is this number he usually call wen we are going back home in the car.. The way he talks to the person on phone I doubt if its a guy he's talking to.. Because the number is saved with a guys name "henry" but I do hear a ladies voice at the back of the phone.. So I'm wondering..
After my final findings I do discover thats a lady.. Now the big question is my bro got 3 grown up kids.. And a wife.. What should I do? Should I just leave him to move on or tell the wife?? To me I feel that he's still a young flexing man! Maybe he should enjoy it while it last.. Or I should just tell the wife because the wife is cool to me and nice.. What should I do..
Also Note behind.. This my bro.. I do respect and fear him so much.. I can't even dare talk about a lady with him.. As his like a dad to me! So telling me to talk to my bro is out of the solution.. So my fellow people what should I do? don't just try it... Though your Bros is f!cking up but it is non of ur biz... If u try it and his wife break up with him, means u scattered ur Bro home. So mind your biz. |
Education / Re: Hnd/b.sc Holders Discrimination: Irrelevant, Dangerious & Unconstitutional. by remirez07(m): 8:07am On Jul 05, 2015 |
Jakara: Federal Government should please end this certificate discrimination between HND & B.Sc. holders in Federal Ministry of Interior (Prisons, Immigration, Civil Defence) and others in order to increase their productivity.
This discrimination is irrelevant, dangerious, unethical and unconstitutional.
There is a looming bloody clash between these two cadres at fields of operation due to live arms/ammunition they bear and that is why every well meaning Nigerian should help towards scrapping out this because you/ your family will become victim directly/indirectly & never ask God why because you caused it by not publishing or broadcasting this message.
Few of the discriminations witnessed in Min. of Interior are; ? HND (Inspectorate Cadre), while B.Sc. (Superintendent Cadre). ? Entry Level for HND is G/L 7, while a fellow Graduate with B.Sc. is G/L 8. ? HND G/L 7 earns (#70,000 pm), while B.Sc. G/L 8 earns (#120,000 pm). ? Terminal Point for HND is G/L 13, while B.Sc. is to the highest G/L. ? HND/ inspectorate cadre ranks are confusing, while superintendent ranks are normal ranks/recognized ranks in military/paramilitary agencies. ? B.Sc Holder hardly pay complement to his superior officer with HND certificate. ? HND graduates are denied one Grade Level during rank conversation. ? Above all, HND holder in this Ministry of Interior are regarded and treated as artisans with WASC or Trade Test qualifications.
It is shameful that staff of Ministry of Interior and others as affected no longer concentrate on their duties or bring ideas that could help the job, rather they focuse on getting more certificates by hook or by crook in order to be converted to superintendent cadre.
It is obvious that other well recognised security agencies like; Nigeria Military, DSS, Nigerian Police, etc do not discriminate in ranking between HND & B.Sc. Holders.
Federal Government should merge Ministry of Interior with Police to stop this nonsense if they persists in this evil act called discrimination. the true fact is, HND/B.Sc cannot be equivalent there most be different inbtw the both but the differ shouldn't be much.... And Nigeria should stop discrimination. Education is education. |

OmoPastor: http://thenationonlineng.net/new/we-are-winning-war-against-boko-haram%E2%80%8E-buhari/
Despite recent attacks by the Boko Haram sect, President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday said Nigeria is progressively winning the war against insurgents.
He said this in his address as the Special Guest of Honor at the graduation of 174 military officers of senior course 37 of the Armed Forces Command and Staff College (AFCSC), Jaji.
The President pointed out the importance of harnessing the strengths of multiple security actors as demonstrated in the fight against terrorism.
Represented by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Buhari expressed confidence in the quality of training received by officers in the institution, which according to him has adequately prepared the military to confront current threats to national and global security.
He, however, cautioned the officers to be mindful of the “distracting and diversionary” nature of today’s highly sensitive media environment.
“Some of you will be deployed in crisis-prone areas, for either internal security or peace support operations outside your country, giving that we live in a common global environment, you must be conscious of your actions,” he warned the graduands.
On the global scene, Buhari said Nigeria remains firmly committed to the maintenance of international peace and security, adding that the country will continue to collaborate with other governments to promote peace, stability and development on the African continent and around the world.
He therefore charged the military to leave up to expectations at all time and to uphold the nation’s enduring legacy in global peacekeeping operations.
“As members of the armed forces, you have a principal role to play in protecting the lives and property of our citizens.
“While maintaining internal peace and security remains primarily the responsibility of the civil police, the scale of the current security challenges facing our nation requires the military to play a more decisive role in support of civil power.
“Always remember that ethnicity and religious intolerance are the greatest threats to our collective security as people and as a nation. I urge you all to guard against these negative sentiments in the discharge of your noble duties,” the President counseled. I don't think This man know the definition of winning.... Nawa o. Jorussia: .In a Democratic system of government, Its the police, that is empowered by law,to be solely in charge of internal security, the military is only called in,in a very serious security emergency. However, in our own case, the military has virtually taking over the functions of the police and this not a good development in our nascent democracy. This recent order by Mr.president, is a good development, but i believe that it will be best,if the withdrawal of our military personnel is done gradually because of the current ill equipped State of our police force. If our police is well funded, and equipped, there will not be any internal security challenge that won't be able to handle.I was surprised during the unfortunate Boston bombing in the US that it was the police handled the situation, in contrast to ours here where the military will be immediately deployed. Sir, not when there is trouble in the country.... Tell me, how many Bh issues has NPF solved? We are talking about terrorist here, who knows how to use bomb not robbers.
