classicB:
My friends and myself were discussing about relationship stuffs recently.
We talked about one of our coursemate that is lucky enough to have a guy that cares so much about her, takes care of her, up to the point of giving her salary grin yet this girl doesn't love or appreciate the guy at all, she still go about sleeping with men cos of chicken change.

And we also have one that is currently in love with a broke guy. They have been together for close to 3years now and sometimes this girl feels like the guy doesn't love her enough simply because she sees what her friends are getting from their guy and she's not privileged to get it from her own boyfriend. Its not as if she doesn't love the guy or anything but she sometimes get jealous and imagine herself in the shoes of girls I mentioned above.
Her boyfriend loves her and he isn't cheating on her.

So my question is, how do u think a broke guy can show love, and care to his girlfriend in the absence of cash?

The true love you could show to her, ᶤร to let her go to α guy who truly love her. Full meaning of Love ᶤร ''money'' not broke nicca like you.

Press Statement

NASS Leadership: PDP Congratulates Saraki, Dogara, Ekweremadu
….Hails Mark

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has congratulated newly elected Senate President Bukola Saraki, his deputy, Senator Ike Ekweremadu as well as the new Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Yakubu Dogara, noting that their elections underscore the fact that no section of the country should be neglected on national issues.

PDP National Publicity Secretary, Chief Olisa Metuh in a statement on Tuesday described the development in both chambers of the National Assembly as “victory for democracy and triumph of the time-honored value of the PDP that every zone and segment of the country must at all times be given a sense of belonging in governance”.

The PDP assured that it would continue to partner with like minds in other political parties and groups to ensure that the nation’s democracy, which it nurtured in the last 16 years is sustained in the overall interest of the Nigerian people.

“What is paramount to the PDP is the sustenance of our democracy and the wellbeing of our people, irrespective of creed, class or ethnicity. The PDP is therefore willing and ready to partner with like-minded individuals in other political parties and groups to sustain our democracy, ensure good governance and promote the unity and stability of our dear nation. Nigeria as a nation belongs to all of us. Its interest therefore must be put over and above personal, partisan or group interests at all times.

“In this regard, the PDP notes with gratitude, the immense contributions of the immediate past Senate President ‘the Baba of the National Assembly’, Senator David Mark for the decency and mature manner with which he ensured the smooth take off of the 8th National Assembly”, the party said.

The statement also commended the PDP Acting National Chairman, Prince Uche Secondus for successfully galvanizing PDP members in both chambers of the National Assembly, which contributed to the peaceful conduct of the elections.

The PDP charged its members in the National Assembly to continue to uphold the tenets of democracy and enforce the constitutionally vested parliamentary role of check and balances to ensure the much desired accountability and probity in the polity.

Finally, it urged the All Progressives Congress (APC) to stop whining and accept the will of the people, respect the independence of the legislature, as the PDP is not responsible for their naivety and crass inexperience.

Signed:

Chief Olisa Metuh
National Publicity Secretary

Religion / Re: Signs Of The End Times by remirez07(m): 3:13pm On Jun 07, 2015
otr1:
The signs of the end times is something that all faithfuls must look for to find out how close we are to the second coming of Christ Jesus. Even many non believers are looking into this issue now, which shows there are significant changes going on in our world today. Many people are wondering what is happening with all these disasters, wars, worldwide economic woes, animal deaths and a general degredation in society. And the Bible has the answer. They are the signs that the end of the world as we know it is close.
Christ said Himself ..."So likewise ye,when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors"(Matthew 24:33). We know that we cannot fix a date, but we know the signs.
In Daniel 2, verses 31-45, we have a prophecy of all the different kingdoms that were to rule the world from the time of Babylon, right up until the end of the world and the second coming of Christ (destroying rock). And where are we today? We are in the feet of the image. Amongst the divided kingdoms of the world.
So this prophecy alone tells us that this generation is living in the "end times". And when did the "age" of the feet begin? In A.D.476.
We have been in the last age for over 1500 years! Conflict and war rages across the globe. Disaster after disaster unfolds upon the nations. Economies are collapsing around the world. Animal life is diseased and dying. And wickedness and sin is rampant. Do you have eyes to see what is happening? God is giving us plenty of warning!

Sign 1- Ability to Enforce Mark of the Beast
Revelation 13:17 .....'And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.'... We are told in this Bible verse that during the last days the beast system would enforce the world to take the mark of the beast.
Now carefully think about this one. It says in Revelation 13 that those who don't take the mark will not be able to buy or sell. So what needs to happen for this prophecy to be fulfilled, to stop people from "buying and selling"? We need to get rid of cash right? And replace it with an electronic form of payment. It would then be easy to press a button and freeze the finances of any person who refuses to go along with the beast. Has this been possible in the past? No, because we did not have the technology to do it. But now we do have the technology and the people in control are actively pushing for this to happen today. This is a sure sign of the end times that we live in.

Sign 2- Perilous Times Shall Come
2 Timothy 3:1-5 .....'This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.'... The Perilous times are here, and will continue to get worse. There are protests, riots and uprisings all over the world today. The economy worldwide is in trouble and everything just seems ready to explode! And this plays into the hands of the beast power who can bring the "solution" to the troubles of this world. But that solution will be a deception.

Sign 3- Those Who Destroy The Earth, God Will Destroy
Revelation 11:18 ...'And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.'... This applies to the end time signs and is an amazing one that many people miss. What could man do to the earth throughout history? Not much, other than sling a few arrows and rocks and dig the ground with a shovel. But what does man do to the earth today? We destroy with great weapons of war and massive industry. Pollute the air with chemicals. Pollute the waters with oil and other toxins. Destroy the forests and so on. And as you will see from the list of mass animal deaths, the animals are dying in great numbers because of it.
There is no other time in history where mankind was destroying the earth like we are today. This is a sure sign of the times.

Sign 4- False Christs and Prophets
Matthew 24:4-5,11 .....'many shall come in My Name, saying, I am Christ .... and many false prophets shall arise and deceive many.'..... With this one, we tend to focus on the "false Christs" and forget that the sign also includes false prophets and preachers. Sure, we have certainly had many characters claiming to either be Christ, or a special "chosen one". And it doesn't stop there, as there are many new age, spiritualist, and satanic cults in the world today that deceive the masses.
But we now also have a world full of false prophets, preachers and movements like never before within the churches that preach error and deceive millions of people. For example, the prosperity gospel preachers who focus entirely on material wealth and prosperity and do not convict people of sin.
And the only reason people are deceived by these is because they don't study the Bible. We need to test everyone against the Word of God to see if what they are preaching is the truth.

Sign 5- Famine
Matthew 24:7 ....'and there shall be famine.'..... We are living in such a time of famine and hunger all over the world today, that there are thousands of people dying of starvation EVERY DAY. What makes this even more sad is that the amount of food that is wasted by the rest of us could feed these poor people who are starving to death. God will judge everyone for what we have done, or what we DIDN'T do.

Sign 6- Earthquakes in Diverse Places
Matthew 24:7 .....'and earthquakes in divers places.'.....
Costa Rica sees increase in seismic activity during past 62 years.
Over 3,000 noticeable quakes hit Japan in 2012.
Over 5,000 earthquakes hit Mexico in 2012.
Koreas experienced twice as many quakes in 2012 than in the past.
The world is now experiencing 3,000+ earthquakes every month!
Jesus Christ said that there would be earthquakes in "diverse" places, and that prophecy is certainly being fulfilled.

Sign 7- Killed For Your Faith
Matthew 24:9-10 .....'Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake. And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.'..... Christians are being persecuted and killed all over the world for their faith in Christ Jesus, especially in places like China, Russia, Africa, Iraq, Israel, even here in Nigeria, etc. And soon this persecution will rise up in the western world when the mark of the beast is enforced. The Roman Catholic Church killed tens of millions of Christians during the dark ages between 538 - 1798AD, and this evil will rise again just before Jesus returns.

Sign 8- Sinful Society
Matthew 24:12 .....'And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.'..... Idolatry, Adultery, Violence, Lust, Greed, Homosexuality, Theft, Lying. Just take a look around you and you will see the world is abounding in these sins, and not just the heathen world, but also WITHIN THE CHURCH! The love of many have certainly "waxed cold" and the fact that many professing Christians believe that the ten commandments are no longer binding, then naturally sin is going to increase.
Look at how society was just 50 or so years ago. People could leave their houses unlocked without fear of a thief entering the house. People dressed more modestly and women were not dressed in a "sensual" way. People were a lot more "pious" and caring and courteous towards one another. But today, society has degraded to an all time low.

Sign 9- People Will be Lovers of Pleasure
2 Timothy 3:1-5 .....'This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall belovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.'..... Again, take a look around the world today and you will that this Bible verse above concerning the end times is being fulfilled. Now notice that it says people will be lovers of PLEASURE more than lovers of God, and that they SEEM to be Godly, but in reality they are Christians by name only. This is a perfect description of the church today.

Sign 10- War and Rumours of War
Matthew 24:6-7 .....'And ye shall hear of wars ..... For nation shall rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom.'..... Many people mock and say that this isn't a sign of the end times, because all these things have been happening for centuries, but when you look at the stats you can see that the frequency and intensity is greatly increasing. For instance, over the past century there has been well over 200 wars and conflicts that has brought about the death of well over 150 million people. And there hasn't been one single day where a war or conflict hasn't been fought.

Sign 11- Knowledge Shall be Increased
Daniel 12:4 .....'even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.'..... This Bible verse concerning the end times can have two applications. The first is applied to Biblical knowledge concerning Bible prophecy. Since 1844 the truth of Bible prophecy has been opened up to God's people like never before and He now has a remnant church with the full truth. The second application is that of worldly knowledge. Just look at how much technology has developed over the past 50 years. We have seen an incredible increase of knowledge there.

Sign 12- True Gospel Preached Throughout the World
Matthew 24:14 .....'And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations;and then shall the end come.'.....Jesus said that "THIS GOSPEL", meaning the TRUE gospel must be preached and then the end would come. This true gospel is being preached through many websites, not forgetting the pulpit, tv, radio, books etc. The gospel of Christ Jesus is now reaching the ends of the world and the return of Jesus is in sight.
GET READY! He is coming soon!
Please Lord forgive me all my sins... Sober

Religion / Re: 10 Bad Things Nigerian Christian Youths Do In Church by remirez07(m): 2:35pm On Jun 07, 2015
A lot of christian young people are guilty of some not-so-great deed in church.Sometimes, they are focused on or thinking about unimportant things.
Here are the Most common examples:

1. When the pastor starts preaching about some "Sinful" things like 'Fornication and Cheating' , you will start feeling uncomfortable because you know you are guilty.

2. When everyone in the church are singing one particular song and you don't remember/know it, you wish the song ended as soon as possible.
And of course you feel guilty about it.

3. The pastor is preaching against having a crush or having a boyfriend/girlfriend.And you just think that Pastor just wants to ruin your private life.

4. A beautiful lady of your dreams is in the
church, the pastor start preaching that young ladies should be modest and not to date guys. And they should not engage in Illicit relationships before marriage. So, you're worry that he wants to spoil your plans again.

5. Pastor speaks on cheating during exams. If you're guilty, you'll start feeling uncomfortable.

6. In Sunday school, the teacher calls names for sharing opinions on for a discussion, but you're feeling nervous, because your name could be mentioned and you're not prepared.

7. After standing for a long time, pastor says "In Jesus name we Pray" , you're so happy the prayer has ended and you can finally sit.But the Pastor continues, and you're upset.

8. You were staring at some nice looking girl/guy and forgot you were praying or even the point of the prayer.

9. Pastor calls a bible verse, but you were not listening to him.So, in a 5 second interval, you ask the person who is sitting next to you to repeat the bible verse.

10. When pastor are laying hands on people, you watch how they fall under anointing and you're so nervous and afraid because you think you will fall as well..

Politics / Re: Buhari Is Failing Already-Yemi Adebowale by remirez07(m): 12:00pm On Jun 06, 2015
SenseiX:
It seems President Muhammadu Buhari doesn’t know that elections are over and it is time to start actualizing his promises. The first few days of a new President in office matter a great deal. Acting authoritatively within 24 hours of being sworn will send the right signal to all that he is ready to implement change. Buhari has already failed in this regard. He is supposed to hit the ground running considering the mirage of problems facing this nation. The new President simply hit the ground and sat down there. The cabal controlling Nigeria has already ringed him. He could not appoint a Secretary to the Federal Government, seven days after his inauguration. He could not even appoint a Chief of Staff. He is struggling with his list of ministers. So many interest groups within his ruling All Progressives Congress are holding him by the jugular. Ogbonnaya Onu and Rotimi Amaechi are battling for the position of SGF. Buhari should be reminded that a forward-looking leader like David Cameron of the United Kingdom announced his cabinet with 48 hours of emerging victorious.

Our dear Buhari could not even appoint a spokesman. He ended up appointing spokesmen. I have never heard of this in any sane society. He has Femi Adesina and Garba Shehu appointed as spokesmen just to satisfy diverse interest groups. Ever heard of leaders like Barack Obama or David Cameron operating with spokesmen? This is an agenda for chaos in the media management area.

I can’t understand why Chief of Defence Staff, Alex Barde and Army Chief, Kenneth Minimah are still in office. If we are talking about change and wiping out Boko Haram, the men in charge of the war’s Command and Control ought not to be in office by this time. Buhari obviously has no blueprint on how to handle Boko Haram. These bastards have killed over 300 people in the last seven days. The President has directed that the defence headquarters be moved to Maiduguri. There is clearly no sense in this. Buhari simply wants to jeopadise the Command and Control Centre. The United States did not move the Pentagon to the Gulf region during the Gulf war. Yet, they decapitated Iraqi forces. United Kingdom did not move its defence headquarters to the Falkland during the war with Argentina over the Falkland. Buhari’s directive is an archaic military strategy. This is obviously unnecessary in modern warfare. Obviously, our dear President has no blueprint for tackling the Boko Haram problem. All he did during the election was to excoriate Goodluck Jonathan’s security failure. He had no plans of his own.

The next thing the President did was to dash to Niger and Chad to talk to their leaders about curtailing Boko Haram. Yes, this would help in shortening trans-border terrorism. But how will this stop ongoing suicide bombings inside Borno, Yobe and Adamawa states by the blood-thirsty Boko Haram? The suicide bombers are obviously not crossing into the country from the neighbouring countries. They are within the country, manufacturing and using Improvised Explosive Devices. They are using petrol and gas cylinders, all obtained within the country, for suicide bombings. Intelligence gathering and technology are key to detecting and curtailing the deadly activities of these suicide bombers. We need to put our internal security in order before running to Chad and Niger republics.

I am also surprised that heads of failed government departments and agencies that have done collateral damages to this country are still in office eight days after Buhari’s inauguration. How can the leadership of the Customs and Excise still be in office by this time? Why should the leadership of the NNPC and the NERC still be in office? The leadership of the FIRS is still in office, yet we are talking about change. Change in this direction should come within 24 hours. We are still waiting for our dear President to act.
Buhari response to the power crisis in his inauguration speech was also appalling. How can the President say that, “careful studies are under way during this transition to identify the quickest, safest and most cost-effective way to bring light and relief to Nigerians.” So, the President did not do a thorough study of the power crisis and the way forward before campaigning to take over from Jonathan? So, the President has no blueprint on how to tackle the power crisis? So, Buhari is just about assembling a team to decide on what to do? That should have been in his bag already. It is part of what is called hitting the ground running in governance. I hope we have not entered a one chance bus? I guess that was why Aremu Olusegun Obasanjo sent him his own blueprint on the power crisis. My humble suggestion is for Buhari to quickly go after Atiku Abubakar and collect his comprehensive blueprint on how to tackle crisis in virtually all the sectors of our economy. A better-prepared Atiku commissioned a very reliable team to do this during his campaign for Presidency. But the APC painfully denied him their Presidential ticket. It is a pity that a well-prepared Atiku may never become the President of this country because we always celebrate mediocrity.

Buhari has also left many bemused by his refusal to make public his asset declaration. Garba Shehu said, “President Muhammadu Buhari has declared his assets to the Code of Conduct Bureau as required by the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. If anyone is interested in knowing details of his asset worth, such a person can avail himself or herself of the use of Freedom of Information Act to seek the information from the bureau.” What an insult. One of Buhari’s key campaign promises was public declaration of assets and liabilities. How can he now do this to Nigerians? Late President Umaru Yar’Adua made public his asset declaration after submitting to the Code of Conduct Bureau. Clearly, Buhari has something to hide. The National Secretary of the Labour Party, Kayode Ajulo was right when he accused the President of failing to keep  the covenant he had with Nigerians to publish his assets publicly. Ajulo said: “The promise on the declaration of assets made to Nigerians was to woo voters. Now, the voters have fulfilled their part of the agreement. It is left for Buhari to fulfill the other part, failure of which is a clear violation of the social contract he had with millions of Nigerians.”

Now, the President has approval for 15 Special Advisers. What does he want to do with all these men? These Special Advisers will also have a retinue of special assistants. They will also need to maintain offices and vehicles. So, where is the belt tightening which our President promised in this scenario? On removal of fuel subsidy, Buhari is still shivering, eight days after inauguration. May Allah help Nigeria.

Politics / Re: Scores Killed In Buhari’s First Week In Office: The Guardian by remirez07(m): 9:34pm On Jun 05, 2015
gratiaeo:
The death toll from two blasts in northeast Nigeria rose to 35 on Friday, raising the total number killed in suspected Boko Haram attacks to 82 during President Muhammadu Buhari’s first week in office.

Rescue officials in the Adamawa state’s capital Yola said 31 people had been confirmed dead in the explosion that ripped through a market on Thursday, with another 38 wounded.

The Yola blast followed a suspected suicide bombing in Maiduguri, capital of neighbouring Borno state, that killed at least four people when a truck carrying firewood rammed into a checkpoint outside a military barracks.

The violence on Thursday came as Buhari ended his first foreign trip since taking office.

He visited Chad and Niger, which with Cameroon are Nigeria’s key allies in the battle against an Islamist uprising blamed for 15,000 deaths since 2009.

Buhari urged closer regional security cooperation, thanking troops from Nigeria’s neighbours for their efforts to date while demanding more action from a multi-national force battling the insurgents on the frontline.

He vowed to crush the Islamists when he was sworn in one week ago but the spate of bombings through his first week in office highlighted the severity of the challenge.

Boko Haram has been weakened by a four-nation offensive launched in February but the extremists have proved resilient in the past.

A new video released by the group — its first for several months and first under the banner of the “Islamic State in West Africa” — insisted the rebels were still to be reckoned with.

– Toll rises –

Yola had been seen as a relative safe haven in Nigeria’s embattled northeast, with no confirmed Islamist attacks in several years.

The fresh explosion hit the popular Jimeta Main Market at about 7:40 pm (1840 GMT), as traders were finishing business.

“So far, we have 31 dead victims and 38 people in hospital receiving treatment”, the National Emergency Management Agency’s coordinator in the city Sa’ad Bello told AFP.

An inital toll from the Adamawa state police said two people were killed.

There was no immediate claim of responsibility but the blast bore the hallmarks of Boko Haram who have frequently targeted crowded markets.

The Maiduguri explosion outside the Maimalari Barracks at about 5:00 pm killed four people and also resembled past strikes by the insurgents, who have made suicide attacks the military a key feature of their uprising.

– Regional cooperation –

Buhari was on Thursday in Chad’s capital, N’Djamena, for talks with his counterpart Idriss Deby after visiting Niger on Wednesday.

“Your troops have stood shoulder to shoulder and fought gallantly with ours in the fight against the forces of evil,” the 72-year-old former military ruler told Deby.

Deby for his part “reaffirmed Chad’s involvement and availability” to work with Nigeria, according to a statement from his office.

Anglophone Nigeria has typically viewed its Francophone neighbours with suspicion, which has been blamed for the lack of a joined-up approach in tackling the militants.

On Wednesday, the military in Abuja announced that a Nigerian officer had taken charge of the new African Union-backed Multi-National Joint Task Force based in N’Djamena.

The 8,700-strong unit, made up of military personnel, police and civilians from Nigeria, Niger, Chad and Cameroon, had been due to be deployed last November.

Buhari said “sustained and robust” regional cooperation was essential because of the cross-border threat posed by Boko Haram.

– Deadly week –

Buhari has ordered the military’s command centre be moved from the capital, Abuja, to Maiduguri, where Boko Haram was founded in 2002 and which is regarded as its spiritual home.

The army has since been tested with two rocket attacks on the city, as well as an explosion opposite a military facility on Wednesday, which left at least 18 dead.

There were also two suicide bomb attacks — one at a mosque on Saturday that killed 26 and another on Tuesday at a cattle market, in which 13 people died.

While Maiduguri residents have come to expect relentless bombings, a surge of violence in Yola will create new challenges for Buhari as he strives to pacify the northeast.

The city has been home to hundreds of thousands of people displaced by fighting elsewhere in the region.

Hundreds of women and children kidnapped by Boko Haram have also been brought to camps in the city after they were rescued during recent military operations in the rebels’ Sambisa Forest stronghold in Borno.

The standard what? The Standard Model is the current
Theory which governs all known strong

It really is the best Theory that we have. It has been fantastically
successful in predicting and explaining

violations of this Theory. Nerds can go
read (or add more information :/) about
it here.

How long did it take to type? In it's current form, the actual equation have took about four hours (spread over almost a week) to write into a file using LaTeX. And sadly, the typist think there is a sign error somewhere, but he just don't have the energy to hunt it down.

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: See The Letter This Person Wrote To Quit His Job by remirez07(m): 5:57pm On Jun 04, 2015
oladimejiX:
Dear Sir,

Was hoping to bring up this discussion later this week, but after receiving notification of salary payment for May yesterday, payment which looks to have been taxed, contrary to our verbal agreement of 80,000 after tax, its imperative i bring this up and since it looks like you might not be in the office today i decided to send it as email, i apologize for the inconvenience.

Sir, after four months (Feb-May) of working, it has become obvious to me that i cannot cope with the pay and the logistics of the job for the following reasons.

1. coming to work everyday and closing by 5pm (making me get home very late) even when there is no IT support work to do, making me sit out the whole day like a receptionist .

2. doing admin jobs (filling invoices, taking cheques to bank, attending to generator etc.) and running errands (including going to buy drink for your son) all of which are not part of an IT support person's job.

3. unconducive work environment. (i use my computer, i use my internet, office is always hot)

Sir, managing with all of the reasons i have given above would have been a lot easier if was getting paid enough to do it, but for a contract non permanent job i am taking a pay cut to do, it is not workable.
bravo!!!! I love his decision. I gινє He 2months without job, he will come back and beg the oga @ the top.
