Politics › Re: APC Warns Against Insulting Buhari, Government Officials - Premiumtimes by remirez07(m): 10:33pm On Jan 03, 2016 |
cramjones: The All Progressives Congress, APC, has condemned what it called the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP’s “unprovoked insults and unguarded statements” on President Muhammadu Buhari and other members of the APC.
The APC said in the aftermath of last Wednesday’s presidential chat, PDP’s spokesperson, Olisa Metuh in a statement issued on Thursday amongst others called Mr. Buhari an “unrepentant tyrant” and a “fascist”.
APC said PDP accused ministers and APC members of corruption while further accusing the president of a selective anti-corruption fight. APC’s national chairman, John Odigie-Oyegun, in a statement Saturday said, “The APC is worried by PDP’s inciting statements. Respect for the office of the president or heads of government in any clime is not a matter of choice but a civic obligation sanctioned by laws. Being an opposition party or critic is no license to issue abusive, intemperate and slanderous statements on government officials; most especially the president of the country.
“The PDP has proven that it is not a party to be trusted or taken seriously. Only recently, the PDP said in a December 24, 2015 statement: ‘we urge that Nigerians should not recourse to hauling insults on the President’. “For the umpteenth time, the APC urges Nigerians who see merit in the war that the President Buhari-led administration is waging against corruption, not to be distracted by the PDP and their agents of corruption to discredit the war. For the records, the ongoing war against corruption is not selective. Anybody guilty of corrupt practices will face the law. “If the PDP has any proof of corruption against any APC member or minister as alleged, we advise that they approach any of the anti-graft agencies constitutionally mandated to handle such cases.
“PDP’s rant suggesting a selective anti-corruption fight by the present administration should be seen as a plot meant to distract the citizenry from the successful ongoing war against graft. “The PDP does not have the luxury of dictating how the present administration carries out its legitimate duty of catching looters, as long as it conforms with the rule of law.”

citizenisb: http://www.vanguardngr.com/2015/12/fg-pushes-for-electricity-tariff-increase/
MINISTER of Power, Works and Housing Mr. Babatunde Fashola, said Nigerians should expect increase in electricity tariff in no distant time. This is as he also indicated the Ministry of Petroleum has signified their interest to build certain critical pipelines to transport gas to the power plants that will add another 2,000 mega watts to the national grid within 12-15 months.
According to him, “By far the most complex challenge is the problem of tariff. It is complex because it is more in the hands of citizens than in the hands of Government.
“The role of Government is to set the tariff and in doing so, Government has committed to what is called a Multi-Year Tariff Order. This was done in order to attract investors to the market; otherwise we will not have achieved the privatization if the price of the product is not attractive to the investors.
“The tariff is the price of producing power. It covers cost of generation, gas purchase, transportation, transformers, staff costs and so on, disaggregated and charged per kilowatt/hour to make the business of power profitable.
“What Government did was to spread it over a number of years so that the impact is not felt at once but over a periodic incremental process. I know that it has been a contentious matter, but I make this fervent appeal to consumers to give us the benefit of doubt, to forbear and accept it. ... Those "MALU" go cut light tire. |

Idunnowhat2do: Hello fam,
I got married and I only lived with my husband for a month before I got a job in another state, since we needed the money, I had to move. We've not seen for about 3 months. I just got back and I was welcomed by my nieces from both sides. We are currently hosting 8 of them, they are fun to be with. I love other people's children, I'm terrified of having my own.
We live in a 2 bedroom apartment, I sleep with the girls while my husband with the boys. Since I got back, we've been able to do it just once with the kids sleeping in the room. It was not enjoyable or comfortable. He gets back from work late and I am exhausted when he gets back because of the kids. It's 2 weeks now and I want to get down with my husband. He wants it too. My husband walks around shirtless and it turns me on every time I see him or hear his voice. We are a very sexually active couple whenever we are around each other.
The problem is that I could not take it anymore so I went to the bathroom, he opened the door and he caught me pleasuring myself today. I couldn't lock the door because the lock was bad. He's crazy and very angry.

sugarbelly3: Bola Salami, 29, Opeyemi Aregbesola, 25, and Ogunleye Lati were paraded for car theft on Friday. The duo of Salami and Aregbesola were out of luck when they were arrested on December 2, 2015 for stealing a red 2010 Toyota Camry. Speaking to Saturday Punch , Aregbesola, who hails from Osun State, said he was into phone theft before he decided to get involved in car snatching so he could raise more money. He began, “Somebody told me he was in need of a vehicle, so my friend and I decided to snatch one for him. I wanted to make more money, that was why I agreed to supply the vehicle.“On the particular day, my friend and I were passing through the Ofada Street, Olorunsogo, in Mushin (Lagos State) when we saw the opportunity and we jumped at it. What we had in mind was to go and snatch phones, which was what we had been doing before. But when we got to that street and saw the Camry, we just remembered that somebody had told us he needed such car. That was when we decided to snatch the car.” Talking about how they snatched the car from the victim, whose name was not disclosed, Aregbesola said they didn’t operate with any weapon. He continued, “We slapped the man on his chest suddenly and he ran away. He parked his car in front of the house and left the key on the ignition. He had gone to the boot of his car to collect something and closed the gate. As he was going back to enter the car, we slapped him and he ran away. We drove the car away before the police recovered it through tracking. “Our main focus was to snatch phones and we have stolen a number of that but the opportunity came to make more money and we took it. I met Salami recently and we used to snatch phones together before this offer came. We had planned to sell the car for N400,000.” Giving his own account of how they snatched the car, Salami, who said he was released from police detention earlier this year having been wrongly detained for about four years, said they drove the car from Mushin to Abule Egba before the police tracked and recovered it from them. He said, “I was first arrested in Ibadan in 2011 during a riot by NURTW members. I was in detention for four years. I was an innocent danfo driver. I have four siblings. It was the devil that pushed me into this crime and I regret it. “When I came out of prison, I was jobless before I met Aregbesola. I had planned to invest the proceeds from the car robbery. I felt it would be a break for me and I had planned not to go back to it again if I could make some money from the Camry deal.” Meanwhile, another Ogunleye Lati was arrested for being a receiver of stolen vehicles. It was gathered that Lati had agreed to buy the car from them. Speaking to Saturday Punch, Lati claimed it was the second time he was getting involved in the crime. “I didn’t plan to buy the car. This is actually my second time of getting involved in this business. The first time, the police also recovered the car, so I decided to see if I could be successful this time. My plan was to sell the car as soon as the boys sold it to me. “I was a computer engineer at Ikeja but when officials of Kick Against Indiscipline chased us out of Ikeja, things became difficult for me. They smashed our show glass, everything I had was gone, things weren’t working for me again, so I had to get involved in this crime,” he said.

Health › Re: How To Last Longer In Bed - For Men by remirez07(m): 4:38pm On Nov 01, 2015 |
Edoblakky: I am putting up this write up because a lady honestly wanted help for her man who doesn't last more than 2 minutes. I need to state that this should never be used by men to punish their partner. It should be used solely for pleasure and satisfaction.
To last long in bed takes a little bit of discipline on the part of the man. As a man, you need to master how to clench your pubococcygeus (PC) muscle.
If you are hearing that for the first time, there's no problem. The pc muscle is what you use to stop urinating. It runs from the Base of your joystick to the anus, but it is not your anus muscle.
You need to clench this muscle as if you are trying to stop urinating. Do this clench and hold for like 2 seconds and release the clench. You have to do up to 30 clench 3 or 4 times everyday for 2 days. By the third day, you should be clenching for 5 seconds for 20 rep 3 times a day. You can even increase the clench time to 10 seconds or up to a minute. You must clench with some force. The beautiful thing about this is that you can clench anywhere - at work, in a queue, when lying, when driving etc,. But please don't overdo it so as not to make the pc muscle sore. It is a very sensitive muscle!
Now, here is the use, during coitus, at the point of no return when u are about to ejaculate, you have to clench your pc as hard as you can (while you stop thrusting). You will achieve orgasm but you will not ejaculate. What this means is that you will experience all the pleasure of ejaculation but semens will not be released. For some, a little semen will be released. But you will realise that you still have the desire and strength to continue and will continue. With this skill, you can make love for as long as you and your partner want with both of you experiencing what is called multiple orgasm. For learners, you may clench and still fail to stop ejaculation but don't worry you are learning. Don't be discouraged! Many of us failed the first time but we soon learnt it and have been using it.
Please note that the best position to easily master clenching during coitus is when you kneel down and use missionary, any other position will fail you. You have to master clenching from the missionary position very well before any other position.
This clenching, also known as kegel, can be used by any man irrespective of age or joystick size to satisfy any woman.
I hope this helps and if you have any questions, drop them and don't get offended if I don't reply on time. I'm actually in a different time zone. I understand you quit well.... But pls I have this queston to ask.... what is the course of penis unnecessary reaction?? |

Phones › Re: We Nigerians Are Unfair To MTN by remirez07(m): 10:33am On Oct 31, 2015 |
Princedapace: Dear Nigerians, each time I read comments regarding this MTN penalty madness by NCC, I end up wondering if most of the comments were just for fun or realistic opinion of the commentators both on Nairaland and other top social sites. The Nigerian Communications Commission, NCC slammed a N1.4 trillion penalty on MTN Nigeria for failure to disconnect customers with unregistered SIM cards. That fine is outrageous please! We have to stop the sentiments. I don't see MTN paying that huge amount of money. They have given reasons why they were reluctant with the SIM card deactivation thing which I believe is credible and reasonable enough.
We should not forget that MTN has the largest data base of users in Nigeria and they care so much about their customers more than the unfriendly policy. They wanted a gradual process to the issue which favoured their customers more. Trust most Nigerians, registration of our SIM has always been an issue because of our 'attitudes'. MTN even called some customers, pleaded on many of them and even used free bonuses to encourage subscribers to register and update their SIM but many still refused. That's how we roll in Nigeria Now, deactivating those SIMs would have resulted to severe difficulties for users who had genuine reasons for their inability to update their account. Yes, MTN violated the law but justice can be tampered with mercy. MTN has done so much for this country: from infrastructural development to massive man power empowerment and development. From educational development to massive entertainment industry boost, in summary, MTN corporate social responsibility programmes are highly commendable and among the best in this country. MTN has changed lives in this country: many people can pay their bills because of this same company. MTN has done so much for us and should be respected please.Their (MTN) investments in the telecom sector have affected other telecom giants positively. This embarrassment against MTN should stop please. MTN is not like all these Indian and Lebanese companies that reserve most juicy management positions for their own citizens only, MTN pays their direct workers (Nigerians) very well unlike most of these foreign companies operating in Nigeria i.e ISON BPO. Top management players in MTN Nigeria are Nigerians. I strongly believe they should be respected and the large data base and services the company operates here in Nigeria should be considered too. It's not easy to adhere to such rule while having such data base like that of MTN. For those calling for MTN to leave I laugh in Chinese and Zulu Yes, if MTN leaves Nigeria, it will surely affect the company heavily but we will suffer it more. Our economy will suffer and unemployment will rise. You are calling on Nigerians to port to Glo and others: wait until any of these telecom companies handle the number of subscribers MTN is currently handling, then you will appreciate MTN better...I can bet you, many of them will collapse! They will not be able to handle such huge traffic. Those of you calling MTN names Can you count how many times you have cheated MTN to browse for free? Do you think the infrastructures used for internet services are bought for free? Do you think it is easy to maintain a business in the Nigerian environment with poor power and transportation sectors? Think again please! Don't ever forget that you benefit from MTN directly or indirectly. For those of you crying about MTN promo, did MTN force you into any promo? And most of us don't read terms and conditions of these services and promo from MTN and others. MTN does not force you to subscribe to any of her services. Yeah, some marketing strategies are deployed to lure customers into certain services but it's still left for you to opt-in and opt-out. I can beat my chest to say that since 2009 I started using MTN line, I have never experienced any reason to accuse them of stealing. I rather say thank you to MTN than accuse MTN of stealing from me. Subscribers make the mistake of subscribing for one service or the other and finally accuse MTN of stealing from them. Some subscribers leave their app running on the background while their airtime gets deducted and they blame it on MTN. You're asking DSTV to leave as if it is DSTV that's working against an indigenous company from doing well in the same market. We complain about MTN and we still don't want to leave them, why? Other telecom companies should compete well with MTN or is it MTN that prevented Glo from taking over other African countries? MTN remains the best network in Nigeria and Africa, take it or leave it. The company should be respected and appreciated too. At least, they accepted to invest in the Nigerian telecom industry back then when other companies where shying away from Nigeria. They made the sector attractive. They made the industry lucrative, they believed in Nigeria when others didn't. I love MTN with my whole heart. Please, we should empathize with them instead of slamming them. http://iamkingsleyokoro..com.ng/2015/10/ncc-fines-mtn-nigeria.html the reason why the other telcom are not doing fine is becos MTN has the larger subscribers... Wait and let them go and see wonders.... Nigeria is total of millions of people.. Mtn is a scam and they have to pay for it.. If they want to leave; "let them leave" |
Education › Re: Difference Between "Did You Know" And "Do you know" by remirez07(m): 10:21am On Oct 31, 2015 |
smuth: Knowing can be roughly sub-divided as knowing how to and knowing that. If the question is about knowing how to, then the normal 'rules' apply when deciding on the appropriate tense.
Do you know how to make eba? (present tense)
When you started school did you know how to tie your shoelaces? (past tense)
When knowing means knowing that, then the past tense is used for knowledge that existed in the past:
Did you know that she was married when you asked her to dance?
You can use the present tense for present knowledge:
Do you know that the meeting has been cancelled?
However, it is also very common to use the past tense idiomatically to refer to present knowledge. So there is no problem asking:
Did you know that the meeting has been cancelled?
The past tense is often used when the questioner expects that the listener does not in fact know. For example, see these three questions of "Did you know that ...":
Did you know that he's Saraki's son?
Did you know that the iPhone 6 is a collector's item?
Did You Know That Earth Is Getting Lighter Every Day?
Happy Learning! i think by now the Ibos should know the Differ btw do$did.... because na them daft pass, stil claiming over sabi. Dump ass Nigerian |

olokfor: Former Cameroon captain Samuel Eto'o is using his fame for a good cause as he has now given a strong statement against the deadly terrorists called Boko Haram ravaging the Northern part of Nigeria. The former Barcelona and Chelsea star has set up the Yellow Whistleblower FC foundation to raise funds and awareness to help people fleeing Nigeria and Cameroon amid the increasing amount of attacks from Boko Haram militants.
Eto’o, says it's time the world stepped up its response to this menace called Boko Haram. The 34-year-old urged leaders and the media to react as they did to the terror attack on the Charlie Hebdo magazine offices in Paris in January.
“It is important for us to talk about it — if we don’t do it, who will? We all tried to offer our support (after Charlie Hebdo). We saw African head of states coming to Paris to offer their support to France." He said in an interview with CNN.
“Why, when it comes to Africa — when it comes to our continent — don’t we do anything? Maybe because the media are not doing what they should do.
“When it comes to Charlie Hebdo, we talk about it. The media were right: It was important to talk about that. However when it comes to Boko Haram, we need to wait for the most horrific things to happen for the media to say a word." said the four-time African player of the year.
“After that, everybody stops talking about it. It is like nothing ever happened.
“I think journalists should have denounced this situation. We saw what happened in France. We were very sad about this. We were asking ourselves, ‘How can this happen? How can they succeed? How can these people take away lives of happy people who had families and friends?'”
“I was affected, like many of my African brothers, by Boko Haram. We haven’t been affected by such horrors in a very long time,” he said. “We are seeing these atrocities and we seem powerless.
“We need to cope with this situation. We need to denounce it and find solutions at our level while our armed forces do their own job on the ground.”
Eto’o said one of the most effective ways to defeat Boko Haram and its ideology would be through education, which he called “the most formidable weapon.”
“We need to create schools and give the possibility to these children to learn and understand,” explained Eto’o, whose illustrious career has taken him to Italy, Spain, Russia, England and Turkey, winning three European Champions League titles. He was reportedly one of the the world’s highest-paid players at Anzhi Makhachkala.
“Some of these children affected by the situation are young and are easily manipulable, and they are manipulated. These children are used and join this terrorist organization.”
Eto’o, who now plays for Turkish club Antalyaspor, said: “We wanted to show the right way to our young brothers, but the ignorance that we have in Africa leads to our own brothers shooting at us.
“When you are African, and you are sometimes better (at something) than Europeans or Americans, you’re not considered African.
“It’s frustrating but you can’t be mad. I refuse to be ignorant. The only message that I want to give is that I want people to have easy access to education.”

I'm an ardent reader and follower of this great forum. So,I had to create this acct for personal reasons.
To avoid lengthy episodes permit me to keep it simple by going straight to the point. Thanks
As a young lady who's in her early 20s I find it extremely difficult to love a guy not to talk about being in a relationship with one.
There is this guy who can't just help but to love me passionately. We've been together for 9yrs now but who would believe we had sex just once? YES! Just once after enough fighting and struggling. Sometimes,I had to lock myself inside to weep cuz it's painful and it hurts! Why can't I have normal sex like any other lady out there?
I just detest having sex with a guy and it's as a result of this that I've lost most of my relationships. This stuff is making me sick cuz I want to enjoy sex with a man like any other lady.
THE MAJOR PROBLEM IS THAT AM "BIsexual" but a larger part of me hungers for same sex
And the ladies are not even helping matters cuz they also yearn for me every now and then., , I've tried hanging out with some cool guyz even to the extent of doing stuff with them YET! Nothing positive came out.
Presently,am dating a banker and believe me every other thing is perfectly in order EXCEPT the issue of sex.
Am worried cuz I know exactly what it means for someone you love so dearly to deny you of something.
I've prayed I've also cried my eyes out I've even gone for counselling @least to ameloriate this kind of lifestyle YET! Things are still the same. Someone should pls tell me what else to do...
Lalasticlala you seriously need prayers...... U need to rearrange yourself, have this mentality of "you can't do without guy" or else u will end up like some people. |
