APC government dethroned Sanusi based on his critics against Buhari government. So, this Emir should not pretend as if he deserves the throne. He should have declined when he was appointed and insist on the right thing to be done but he didn't. They let their throne to be decided by politicians so they shouldn't complain.

While Germany on the other hand imprisoned and tortured their own women who had relations with enemy soldiers to death. I think this public humiliation was better than death, prison or torture.

Worse, electricity tarrif is different from SIM cards run by different companies. Why SIM and phone brands are cheap is because there's competition and users can just switch to another SIM or phone. But when it comes to electricity distribution, users can't switch from one supplier to another, instead they're at the mercy of the electricity distribution company whom if without regulation would sell at higher tarrif knowing very well that the users have no other option to switch to another supplier other than them. If it was possible for people to switch from one supplier to the other, then it would work that way and become cheaper with time.

This current APC men as with others change critical things without seeking public opinion.

Well, i have no idea how they run their thing but from what i've heard, Sanusi was the Emir before he was removed by the government.

One thing is, our own form of government is totally different from that of the UK where politicians cannot toil with traditional rulers. Here, it's the politicians that appoints and even pay them. Even our democracy is totally different from what a democracy looks like.

You're rather describing yourself. Why not insist on the government fixing its constitution and policies that allow politicians to be unaccountable rather than sending the country into more recession. 500k as minimum wage would force the government to print more money which would in turn cause inflation such that only public servants can be able to afford anything while the rest of the citizens would be unable to buy anything due to high cost of things. What the government needs to do is empower the unemployed youths to be self reliance and boost our production, this alone would make everything very cheap as there will be surplus products and the need for minimum wage increase won't be necessary. This one is like adding pepper to wound because things will even be worse.

Sooner or later we'll begin to realise that not all our traditions are for our own good. Some are what the Devil used in keeping us under bondage.

Right! I don't need it. And It is rather foolish to keep it going. People's eyes are gradually opening, our ladies are gradually getting wiser and free from traditional cobweb. The other day a lady flew from UK with her black American fiance to Nigeria and they were blessed by her parents as well as blessed by her church but she stood her ground that parents or no one else will collect a dime on her head in the name of pride price. This is the lady who feeds her parents and relatives who has brought her entire family out of poverty from her hard work. And nothing happened. She's married with two kids already. Our ladies are getting wiser and getting freed from those traditional religions that have enslaved them for ages just as some women freeing themselves from religious hijab.

100k is still a terrible joke. But i know what they're trying to do anyway. They want the government to use their own mouth to pronounce something close to 100k so that if they refuse to pay, it won't be as if the amount was imposed.

Lol! You're rather defining African church marriage. In the Americans, a rich family celebrates marriage based on what they can afford and the poor ones only invite the priest and loved ones and marriage is done. It's there in Nigeria and Africa that a broke man would borrow what he may never pay off to impress unnecessary audiences as well as buy his wife from her family.

Women are not toys or properties to be traded for money. Put yourself in their shoes and stop seeing from one side of the coin. My first daughter got married in the court and church, in my family, i've stopped bride price nonsense since 2017. Secondly, marriage is not for children, so if you care more about your wealth then avoid getting married and instead just raise babies with willing women like big music artists do.

Only the corrupt supports the corrupt. The corruption rate in Nigeria is high which means it will be difficult for Obi to make his way through to the topmost seat in Nigeria.
