Clemzy16: lolzz... It's funny how you STRESSED the so called 'Regular Writers' several times; i actually wrote that intentionally.

I know say the thing pain you well-well! Lolzz

Abeg make una no vex @Regularwriters
you are so funny, you are sure it pained me as that was what you were going for when you made the statement, for it to pain the so called 'regular writers'.

its such a shame you failed to see my sarcasm behind its repetition. Anyway I know your real issue and how to solve it for you.

its you who its really paining for not being able to partake in judging, you are envious of the few privileged ones who have been asked to partake and that's why you opted for the like button so you could actively participate.

the solution is easy, write a story to it's completion, get a few hundred readers and followers, also a few thousand views. Pull it off and then you'll know what it feels like to be a so called 'regular writer'.

as for your half a'ssed apology, I offer it back to you, you can shove it up 'you know where'

Clemzy16:
I do have a suggestion that the voting should be done through the like button because definately the so-called 'regular writers' will be bias with the exercise.
you are already bringing bias when submissions haven't even started.... What makes you think the so called 'regular writers' would be biased? What exactly is your issue with the so called 'regular writers'?

@ HBG, thanks for the opportunity, I'm most certainly available

Sumtyms I need to be blunt and rude, if you talk to me in a funny way, then expect a funny answer. What u give is what u get.

How bout man/ woman, or does 'man' encompass both? And what does Literature man of the year' mean? Isn't it same as best writer. I think I prefer the former categories as HBG outlined on the other thread.

@anonimous, did u know that was the next audio book I was going on to? After that anthills of the savannah, its Chinua Achebe reading spree for me.
I'm thinking about focusing more on African writers, get a feel of African writing, been reading too many foreign books, I almost feel foreign, lol.

@reineviolet. Just finished with americannah and I dnt want to give spoilers but I didn't like the end. For all her realism, I felt chimamanda compromised in the end. Concluding the story how she felt her readers would like it, she should have remained true to her cynicism. Hope I haven't spoilt it for you, its an awesome book and you'll enjoy it.

@ anonimous, they are awesome, you can listen and still do stuff. I plug mine to the speakers while am doing house chores.

@ reineviolet, the beginning is a bit slow, chimamanda wen on and on and on about history and boring stuff but it was for a reason I guess but when you get to the middle, it picks up and you wouldn't want to put it down.
The woman is such a cynic and doesn't let anyone go free. She tackles the racism subject in a cynical and funny way but you definitely get what's she trying to pass across.

Something I need to add here, you dnt have to have a lotta friends, really. I'm an introvert too but I can mix and have a conversation when I need to....i know how to drag information from people and make them feel at ease but I dnt have a lot of friends. Why? I looooove my quiet, I don't need people around me to make me happy. My first happiness is in myself and my family, all others are just added advantage.
Don't put ur happiness in the hands of others, they'll always let you down at one time or the other.
I do have a few friends I talk to once in a while, hang out but I don't rely on their presence all the time to function. I really enjoy my space.
Friends will, never make you happy, yeah its nice to chat with people and hook up once in a while but still try to be self reliant, don't depend too much on others.

U seem not to even like yourself, if you don't like yourself first, nno ther person will.

look in the mirror and tell yourself, you are an awesome and wonderful person and believe it.

then make a conscious effort to make and keep conversation flowing, act confident and not weird. Smile easily , if u get nervous, its not a bad thing, work with it, tell yourself you can do this and most importantly look smart and good.
hope I helped

What makes something boring really? I think it might be your mynd (pun intended grin)

You don't have to read word for word, u cam skim and scan which I usually do to get a general idea.

HBG explained things out in detail, to help, those who'll begin asking a million and one irrelevant questions. I dnt think it can be summarized into a sentence or two.

just take time out to breeze thru and it doesn't have to be at once, I think I went back three times before I could complete the epistle and I think I'll be going back again soon sef to refresh my memory.
