you ended up corroborating what he said.

you "The difference is the rate". what is the difference in the rate compared with PDP era and APC era?

if you say that he "specializes in attributing all negative trends to what you do not like or want", since you like APC, what trend are you going to attribute to it based on the current situation of things?

Ask Nigerians who pushed one side out but haven't totally pushed the other side out that foolish question or better still, use the actions of Nigerians to gauge whose rate was faster. Lol

pls how much food does the UAE produce?

does it not import almost all the things it consumes?

how come a dollar is just 4Dirham despite the fact that they import everything?
enough oil to buy all the food they need.

Now how much are Nigerians producing generally to help fund food purchase?
How much dollar or forex are they earning yearly?

The bible say we shouldn't answer a fool in his or her folly(stupid logic), but changes tune and says a fool should he answered in his folly once in a while. Read between the lines.

I am from the South/south. My mind keep telling me Tinubu will do well

But I am becoming afraid now

The increase in prices of goods and services changes upto 3 times in the market daily.

What you bought in the morning, when you go back to the same market in the afternoon, d price has changed

Tinubu need to wake up from his slumber. People are suffering. Is not like workers salary has been increased. 35k was never paid

I am beginning to be disappointed 😞 with Tinubu
he is more concerned about AFCON final game. The man has next to nothing to offer us.
Just look at how Lagos is so so disorganized and see that the man is not a role model that can inspire orderliness in any way.

Tinubu is just plain wicked and heartless. A leader who cares would have opened borders months ago. Let rice and other foodstuffs be loaded into the country.
that will mean more people looking for dollar and forex to go out and buy food.
It will definitely weaken the naira and still bring about expensive local food or net export of scarce food as we are seeing.

The only way out is local production which we have allowed to suffer so much. The local food can be purchased by the govt too to beat foreigners to it and improve its chances of healthy storage.

We warned, a man that have no certificate can not produce any good fruit. your type specializes in attributing all negative trends to what you do not like or want.

Things were also deteriorating under PDP if you recall. The difference is the rate so stop sounding half smart.

You guys continuously underestimate the value of financial prudence in economic management.

If you are right, Lamido Sanusi should have been the best CBN governor since
oil price was highest during his tenure.
But in real fact, the best CBN governors were the one in charge during the
lowest average oil price of 1999 to 2007. That is Joseph Oladele and Charles Soludo.
Joseph even managed to hit a 10% growth rate which is unmatched since then.

Nigeria's FDI at 1999 was about $1 billion and it increased to $6 billion in 2007.
If a 600% rise is not significant enough, you should remember that somebody actually took it from
4 billion dollars in 2015 to negative value by the end of 2022. Now, that's a record.

Before you ask, my criteria for best is based on external reserve accumulation, exchange rate control and economic growth rate.
For you to use average oil price to guage demand and supply pressure of forex is impractical and makes little or no analytical sense. What was average weekly forex demand and supply for the CBN gov under OBJ?
Don't forget subsidy had not gone haywire like under GEJ and Buhari. Soludo had so much forex to spare, he gave a dozen banks $500m each to help them capitalize better. Can you compare that to another CBN gov who inherited forex obligations more than that alone?
Let's not talk about regular forex demand that has surged compared to OBJ years.

Bobloco:
Tinubu and Cardoso created this problem. No one else did.

You need to read the below submissions of Farooq as regards Cardoso to realize that he lacks what it takes to handle such an office.

"On Friday, I watched Cardoso’s meeting with the senate where he couldn’t answer questions from senators without reading from a prepared script. "I object to this!” a senator yelled in response to Cardoso’s lifeless regurgitation of a prepared speech he obviously didn’t understand. “Let him go back and answer the question!"

Anyone who can’t respond to a question without reading a prepared text obviously has no understanding of what he is talking about. Albert Einstein famously said, “if you can't explain it simply then you don't understand it well enough." Cardoso’s case is even worse. He can’t explain it at all. It explains why the economy is in a mess and the naira is in a worse shape than it has ever been.

Cardoso’s most important qualification for the job appears to be that he was Economic Planning and Budget commissioner in Lagos when Tinubu was governor, but the job seems to be above his intellectual and experiential paygrade.

I know of no CBN governor in my lifetime (until Cardoso) who couldn’t articulate economic policies effortlessly. Even Godwin Emefiele had no difficulty defending his policies. You may question his competence or disagree with his policies, but he could at least clearly formulate thoughts about what he was doing. Cardoso gives me the jitters. Nigeria is in way worse trouble than it realizes with an airhead like that as CBN governor."
You have your point but it doesn't change mine. Been hari spent future dollars and that meant future lack and devalue of naira. Cardoso stepped into it irrespective of his inability to recite textbook jargons like past CBN govs.
Politics › Re: Hunger Protests: Why Tinubu Can’t Govern Like Buhari By Farooq A. Kperogi by RepoMan007:
Cardoso is a victim of politicization of appraisal of CBN performance.
Historically, the performances of all CBN governors has correlated with the petrol dollar availability. To me, Emefiele was the only guy who performed beyond the level of available petrodollar in his time. All other governors of the CBN were simply lucky to have the dollar available.
Not one of them influenced inflow of dollar in any significant way. Cardoso's case is agrevated by what Emefiele and Buhari did with loans and cash in circulation. They created a huge problem by spending out of recession and into crippling debt that eats revenue.

The govt appoints a CBN gov who then pretends he is independent and can actually curb the excesses of the govt.
