See the mess Tinubu allowed to grow and find feet in Lagos for 25 years. Now he is the position of his dreams and is seeing first hand the effect of these heartless demons in human skin. It is now allover the country now. Bandits in north, kidnappers all over, area boys in east, youths in south. All looking for waysgo eat without working for anyone. |

nairalanda1: You should forget about the tribe. It has nothing to do with what is happening.
For over 5 decades, you have lived with the illusion that fuel is cheap. The illusion is breaking, and we are seeing what other African countries are seeing...that fuel is expensive. Very much so.
Tinubu is trying so hard to maintain the illusion. But as you can see cracks are appearing
It is time we all accepted fuel was never cheap in the first place. Maintaining the illusion has cost us billions of naira and four refineres. Americans subsidize renewable power like Germany and its not an illusion. |

Business › Re: Standard Chartered Bank Warns Against Hoarding Of Dollars by RepoMan007: 7:55pm On Feb 05, 2024 |
“The central bank is trying to mop up as much liquidity as possible to reduce the volume of cash chasing FX. The moment we will begin to get to normalcy and FX liquidity is available, and then we will begin to see the effects of some of these policies right now. So, everything is a derivative of FX management.
“In getting to the point where liquidity should improve, foreign portfolio investors are likely to get interested in Nigeria and there is a chance that we can raise money through the Eurobond.” Liquidity can't be mopped up by restricting currency circulation. Only by taking cash out of peoples hand can that happen. |

You are free to bring in yours and sell it for N1500 a litre. Dangote won't want to go into petrol due to the above practice by FG. Simple. |

coputa: Tinubu greatest mistake is removing fuel subsidy when he knew that his predecessor had mortgaged nigeria oil.
It means he had about 20% to contend with, which he had equally used as payment for loan he collected from AFREXIM You started with Tinubu but admitted it is a structural issue exploited by Buhari. |
Politics › Re: Again CBN Adjust Exchange Rate by RepoMan007: 8:57pm On Feb 04, 2024 |
That's what happens when you build the structure of your country around another mans oil resources and in the process's discourage productivity. Quota system about to collapse.
Imagine if such structure was used in families. The richest of the children drops his salary/earnings for all to share and raise their families with. The ones who were once poor but now rich will hide their wealth, refuse to admit growth in business, produce so much children and malnourish them in a bid to maintain inflow of free money from the richer siblings. In the end, that whole extended family will lack productive hands, be poor on average but with well fed parents, and start borrowng aganinst future income of the rich sibling until they all go burst.
That's what is happening to us. |

Agriculture › Re: Egg Price Rises As Many Poultry Farms Shut Down In Kano by RepoMan007: 6:34pm On Feb 04, 2024 |
aderadio1: I am not ignoring but they voted Yaradua and OBJ. These two were better than those they contested with. rigged votes count as real votes once mandate is secured so I am not surprised at your claims. Same way Yoruba's voted sanwo-olu and Tinubu against their wish. |
Agriculture › Re: Egg Price Rises As Many Poultry Farms Shut Down In Kano by RepoMan007: 6:30pm On Feb 04, 2024 |
Princedapace: Igbos vote Northerners wella, they no really send. Yaradua was northerner and Igbos voted massively for him, OBJ was from the west Igbos voted for him. Na yorubas and northerners finish Nigeria. Look at what they turned nIgeria into after controlling central govt for over 60 years. We no even get ordinary water and electricity in Nigeria. Like it is that bad. Countries that we bash on a regular online have these things. I am tired of hearing the sound of generator. If I be yoruba or northerner, i wont even have face to talk about Nigeria becus our own people ruled and controled central govt for decades and look what we could give back to the rest of Nigerians. That's cos Igbo candidate wasn't anywhere around. Stop interpreting those as a proof of Igbo liberality. You cannot compare that to a sw or north that splits vote between the two major party more evenly than you block vote republic. |
