TravelRe: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 9 by Rerin: 10:01pm On Jan 03
The main applicant was granted a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) on 1 January 2026 for a UK care worker role under SOC code 6135. The spouse (husband) and child dependants (3 children) are already in the UK and currentlyon PSW visa which ends Dec, 2026. Following the July 2025 rule changes, under what circumstances—if any—can the spouse and child dependants apply, extend, or remain as dependants on this route i.e SOC code 6135? Also, should the husband apply first before the children? Or should it be the children apply with the husband? Are they all eligible to apply as dependants of the wife under this code? Please note the main applicant's (wife) application had been submitted on 1st January 2026 to home office and expecting the outcome.

Hello All,
Please help to advise.
I hereby reach out to enquire on the immigration status of our 3 kids who are presently in the United Kingdom.
The history goes as thus:

Child 1 was born outside UK in 2009 when I (their father) regularised my immigration status with 2 years visa, while the mother had no uk immigration status and both child and mother resident in Nigeria then.

Child 2 was born outside UK in 2011 when I (their father) was on Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR) status while the mother had no uk immigration status and both child and mother resident in Nigeria then.

Child 3 was born outside UK in 2014 when I (their father) was on Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR) status while the mother had no uk immigration status and child and mother were resident in Nigeria then.

I (their father) became a British Citizen in 2021 and recently brought them to United Kingdom with, D-Child App FM (standard) visa from 5 April 2023 until 5 January 2026 for the 3 kids, while their mother came in as PARTNER (standard) from 5 April 2023 until 5 January 2026. All are currently settled in UK.

The enquiry is if our 3 kids are eligible for Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR) or to apply to become a British Citizen after the expiration of their current visa by 28 January 2026, or apply for their naturalization after 2 years of residing in UK ?

Perhaps, kindly advise on what each child is eligible for after the expiration of their current visa by 28 January 2026 as we are yet to know.

We will appreciate your quick response and procedure Thanks all.

Good afternoon house. My appointment is 8am tomorrow.
I have uploaded all documents as at now. Whenever I click submit button on tls site, it kept on giving me an error message " an error occurred during the submission".
I used another device that is phone and another laptop but giving me same error message. Please what else should I do? What could be the reason? Is there any time frame or maximum time we can self upload on tls portal?

Hello All, I intend going for care work or probably apply as UK student, I have my student copy of Bsc biology transcript used for masters, a copy of certificate of another Bsc child education and certificate for masters in education.

I know having NARIC equivalent might be useful as a student, care work, settlement, ILR, and naturalisation. Which I don't want to go through English brouhaha anymore with faith.

It might not be easy to get the letter from university I had the Bsc but can I use letter from the university I had the masters which i collected the masters certificate please N:B no masters transcript?

Does the letter have any format?, if so please help with a format. Can the letter be from any lecturer at the department or HOD?

Can someone help with exact requirements of documents for NARIC/ECCTIS?

I don't know if I use letter of English proficiency NARIC for my masters etc might affect my admission for UK Masters as student? Do you advice I use the Bsc documents for NARIC?

Can I use letter from UNI and transcript only? Letter from UNI, transcripts and certificate only? Letter from UNI and certificate only.
I have Google but could not get straight answer. Please advise me and don't ignore .

Is there a link like UK general visa enquiries that speciizes on how to get Skilled worker visa? Or can those who have been successful on it enlighten us how they went about it, type of skilled work they were employed and requirements when sharing their visa testimony.
Whether nursing, doctor, social work, care any field they were successful with.
Edakun, it will help a lot especially some of us in other fields.
Not everyone can afford student route.

Thank you for your response. I was able to send a stinker mail to them stating how deliberate they grey out the self service appointment date and enforcing Nigerians to make use of their added services which serves as a form of extortion and enabling fraudulent agent charging all in the name of helping with bookings. They apologised sha and assured to escalate. I refreshed the page and was lucky to see a date.

Genlit33:
I think it's system error, keep checking, try early in the morning, 5-6.

Hi everyone, please advise if ok not to include introduction letter from employer in a UK renewal, though payslips, all promotion letters, approved leave mail from boss would be all added. This will be the 3rd renewal.

Can a bank statement downloaded online without being stamped be presented?

TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by Rerin: 10:30pm On Apr 18, 2022
Thanks so much for your response.

What you mean is it's ok not to book any hotel/hostel but rather mention the address of my relative stated in the application at point of entry. Though I mentioned I am going strictly for tourism and might not visit her. Does it matter or not due to your experience? For instance the day stated for visit had passed but chose other dates due to delay in visa issuance which I know not an issue.

giselle237:
If you mentioned having this same person on your application then it’s fine. You must however have the money you claimed you have available for the trip on you, cash will be best. Also a few days difference in length of stay is not something to be worried about. Just remember if asked at the point of entry how long you are here for, state the truth.
Check wakanow and travelstart to compare prices, as for qatar airways if u get the price call the jigerian office and they will give you the naira equivalent for the chosen dates and u can pay to their naira bank accts
Also know what you filled on your visa application form if this is your first time of travelling, no room for different stories.

Happy Easter All.

Kindly assist me with UK airport experience like questions to be asked at entry, challenges someone might encounter, items I am eligible to carry and not to carry as a tourist, cheapest airline to book which might be a bit below 300000 and best time to book in May.
Kindly help if ok to book with agency or direct airline. Is Ethiopian airline ok with their services? Also, I stated 7 days trip when applying can I stay between 13-15 days ? Is it ok to mention in my renewal I stayed 15 days due to 4 days airport shuttle i.e long flight to and fro?
I booked hostel when applying but cancelled due to delay issuing visa and time passed, but i intend to stay with a sister and a friend now, will it be a problem? Any need to book few days hostel lesser than days booked on ticket and present address of sister and friend at entry or rather ignore the hostel booking? Please advise appropriately.

I could sense your genuineness and anger towards the refusal. This application was close to perfection as you stated in all your responses. Believe me if you reapply again I don't think there is anything more you can add to the application. Infact I fear you not adding other things that might implicate and frustrate your chances. The refusal is very clear and an insight for you. Infact I think this is your best chance, if i were you i will never reapply and will just go for administrative review. If they are denying applicants then denial should be justly. They claimed sources of 1.5m was unknown which you presented a sponsorship letter claiming as hubby, you added marriage cert to justify as hubby, you presented children birth certificate as father, you stated in cover letter source of fund and other stuffs, and what more do they want? Reapplication will cost you over 200k, read back the thread on how to go for a review. Write a detailed mail how your family were denied unjustly, be aggressive towards your complaints without being rude, prove to them you are not desperate but not happy with the judgement. Send the refusal letter, the documents you submitted and give detailed illustrations on the documents, use biro or marker to illustrate and buttress your points on the documents, scan the illustrated documents and attach to your email. Oga abeg display your skills with grammar and level of education (lol, don't mind me). If they don't give visa not all Nigerians are fools after taking due process. Even if you are reapplying later, doing this will not cost you a dime. You will not regret this step and if it is otherwise then reapply. This is my opinion and based on experience. You can still follow your heart.

Thanks Jennixyluv for your response. I never wanted to pay any dime for extra service but just get the appointment date and wait for my time for biometrics. The issue now is no available date at all for self service which I believe is deliberate at tls to extort every applicants one way or the other. I am thinking of checking for next two days and if I don't get I might result to assisted service cos it has the lowest service fee and for date picking.
Can anyone advise the best time to be awake that I might be lucky to see free date?
I have all my documents in a folder in my system which I used for my previous visa, in case I do assisted can they use a flash or allow transfer of soft copy documents?
Honestly I am not happy.
