1. There are other platforms, not necessarily Apps. But EverSend is the easiest and it's the only one I've successfully tested.

2a. Yes.

2b. You can use as many cards as possible. Even other people's card, too.

I used someone's Polaris Bank MasterCard and it went through. Rate was around #620+/$.

That said, know the actual exchange rate before you commit funds to EverSend.

Go to PlayStore and download EverSend.

Verify your account with a valid ID (Driver's license, Voter's card, intl. passport)

The verification may take some time, though. It may keep telling you that your verification documents were rejected. Keep at it.

Once you have been successfully verified, all your wallets will become active.

Go to your Dollar Wallet and click "add money".

Add about 96$. Charges will make everything closer to about $100.

When I did this, Zenith Bank charged my MASTERCARD at about #463/$. That was on Tuesday.

120 pages work on A4 is huge. Yeah, publishing as a doc file, amazon will scale the pages down because they pay you $0.004 per page read, but the good thing about uploading in docx file is that all buyers can access all your books irrespective of what device they use. Alternatively, some writers use either 5.5" x 8.5" or 6" x 9" which is smaller than A4 and then covert it to PDF and later .kpf(print replica) using amazon's textbook creator to get more pages. The drawback, however, of using print replica is that buyers with Kindle paperwhite and Kindle Oasis won't be able to purchase your books. When i was using print replica, i got some negative reviews because of that. So i still encourage you upload a well formated docx file even if your book page count is squeezed. You can always depend on paperback sales to make up for the difference.

I have a question and I'd really appreciate your opinion.

Here's the question:

I just published a 10,000 words book on Amazon. That's about 89 MSWord pages, given the formatting I used.

The paperback resulted into 89 pages too.

But the Kindle format gives me a 52 pages book. That's NOT cool at all.

I tried reformating it but I still get the same abysmal result. Is there anyway to format it to get more pages?

The current flow of the CoronaVirus through nations the world has brought to light the different natures of people and nations. Nigerians have not been spared. And I have various fresh accounts of these parades but I only going to write of one that made me realizes that, perhaps, when Zarathustra said "even now a human is more ape than ape." On Monday, I wanted to get cash from a bank. It doesn't seem like the lockdown is going to be over anytime soon so I decided to stock up and go into hibernation. I read it somewhere that the CoronaVirus can stay in the air for a few minutes. That means if someone sneezes or coughs the virus into the air a couple of minutes ago, you can still inhale it. And get infected, just like that.

All men must die, but I will not be responsible for my own death. That is what took me to the doors of a small Pharmacy in the first leg of my journey.

"I want to buy face mask. I am talking about that nose mask that doctors wear" I told the guy I met there.
"it's. #100" he said this with a funny look on his face. The look probably had something to do with the fact that the price had been marked up by about 50%.

The guy searched a shelf for the mask only to return to tell me that the mask is no longer available.
I left there with a "there's God o" shake of my head.

I walked as someone holding in Diarrhea would walk to a rest room. Never forgetting to hold my breath at the sound of any suspicious sneezing, coughing or someone breathing too deeply. Finally, I got to the bank and turned around. The queue looked like they were awaiting a vaccine for CoronaVirus. I am not one to tempt the Lord my God, off to my house.

I tried again on Wednesday and I noticed little changes. Immediatdly inside the gate, the bank now had a security man waiting with a mini tank of water and liquid soap in hand. Everyone coming into the bank must first wash their hands. A wonderful development. But the queue was still too long. And it wasn't moving fast enough.
I decided to visit a nearby Campus and use the banks in there. With sharpish movements I made my way there.

On my way from the Campus, I entered the same Pharmacy I did on Monday.
"I want to buy face mask"
"It's #300"
It was the same guy I met there on Monday and even though I didn't know the kind of mask he was talking about, I said
"No, No I am not talking about that one. I am talking about that nose mask that doctors wear. That one with spaghetti strap"
"It's #300"
"Which one are you talking about? Bring it let me see" And he brought out the same nose mask that normally sells for #50.
I thanked him and left. I will not be party to the encouragement of greed.

I got home and scrubbed myself with soap and water. I read somewhere that CoronaVirus stays in the throat for 7 days before finally moving deep into the body. Drinking hot water helps to combat it during that period. I substituted that for a hot cup of tea.

Nigerians have no conscience. Most of them, anyway. A virus is ravaging the world and the only thing that their brain can come up with is how to make unholy profit from the pandemic. Wickedness lurks within the foundation of this nation. Until it is surgically removed, Nigeria will know no progress.

Concerning Bitcoin


Some months ago, I withdrew proceeds from a domain sales on Dan.com via BTC. Before it arrived in my wallet, BTC already appreciated. So much, in fact, that the value of BTC that landed in my wallet was greater than the gross value of the domain sold.

With this taste of the exponential increase in BTC value over a short time, I was hooked. I decided I was going to diversify my investment portfolio and delve into Bitcoin.

Without wasting time, I invested a percentage of my profit from subsequent domain sales in BTC via LUNO. The transaction was smooth.

To monitor my portfolio, I set an alert for when BTC goes below #3.150M and when it goes above #3.2M. At the time of purchase, Bitcoin was around #3.170M.

With that amateur system in place, I noticed two things:

1. I received way more alerts of BTC going below #3.150M than beyond #3.2M. In other words, BTC has a tendency to drop significantly in value than increase.

2. LUNO seems to have a slightly lower value of BTC quoted on its platform compared to other platforms.

Despite my observations, I wasn't bothered in the least. After all, I was in for the Long haul and my people believe that "a patient man would eventually cook stones to an edible consistency." So I was determined to make a meal of the stone called Bitcoin and I remained undeterred.

The past couple of days, however, have made it glaring that "BITCOIN IS NOT AN IDEAL STORE OF VALUE." Over 50% drop in value. And all that percentage decrease within a matter of days. Right now, I can't even muster the fortitude to check the value of my BTC portfolio.

My conclusion is that Bitcoin is a wonderful means of receiving payments but makes for a lousy investment. I will retain my BTC holding long enough for it to return to its original value at the time of my investment, then it's Au revoire, la Bitcoin.

So, guys, what do you suggest as an alternative investment that guarantees capital safety and appreciation?
