In the process of conducting a keyword research, you advocate we use 'niche keyword' and 'product name keyword'. When I did this, the niche keyword completely saturated the generated results. I couldn't even find the product name keyword in the results.

Here's what I did

How do I bypass this limitation?

As you said that it is not showing from your end, I tried it with another browser and it's still showing. It means the link is still there. You know I cannot edit your post except mine.

Let me know if you were able to install the WordPress with your phone. The page doesn't display fully on any of my browsers. Couldn't install it successfully.

I did this a long time ago. When you said it would be easier to communicate with those who already initiated contact with you through the initial request for the pdf file.

I reported the post and everywhere it was quoted to the Mods. Asking them to take it down and I haven't been seeing it on the thread since then.

Even following the link you just dropped doesn't show it. Don't understand Nairaland. I thought it was already removed.

Yes, you can start a blog with completely brandable domain name. It actually gives you more freedom to promote different products on your domain. For instance, Jumia does not tie in to any specific market. However, you need time and patience to create awareness and brand exposure for the name.

The advantage of keyword domain is that it can easily be crawled and indexed by search engines and human readers will not be at sea thinking what your website topic is about. It depends on you, your business strategy and goal.

If i build a blog and start promoting weight loss on it... let say I get a affiliate link from a vendor and I write about the product and publish on my blog, can I still write another topic on weight loss that is not relating to promoting any product but giving advice to my site visitors?

The reason brandable names, especially made up ones like Jumia, are such a gem is the fact that you can start any kind and number of businesses on them. The only thing our brother is going to get from Jumia is a 'Cease and Desist' letter, that's if they care enough to bother.

Concerning the brandables, reading the naming of brands material on Squadhelp would be very helpful. It outlines the different categories of name. Also participating in the contests on Squadhelp gives you a feel of what endusers
are really looking for.

Some of these domainers Sha the can discourage some, even GoDaddy close out is not all that awesome.

You learn fast and you learn well. Kudos for that!

But it seems like you think the incessant warning against Hand Registration by some of the relatively established domainers is an attempt to keep people from accessing the goldmine. At first glance, it might indeed look like that but you can rest assured that it is not so.

When I started domaining, I read a little and I was like 'short name that sounds nice? Easy Peasy! . Those were my thoughts concerning brandable and I started regging 'nice names' and the occasional 'gems'. At least, in my opinion.
Now, I am not so self-absorbed as to presume that my orientation is a representation of all newbies venturing into domaining. Some, like yourself, learn faster than I do.

But majority of newbies have the uncontrollable urge to dive straight into the business without sufficient and relevant information. They do this as a result of "Fear Of Missing Out" - the belief that if they do not take actions as swiftly as possible, the opportunity or a trend would pass them by. As good as it is to be action-oriented, it is even better to take information-propelled actions.

So the average newbie, like myself, goes on a handregging SPREE with the hope of somehow 'hitting the jackpot' . Why??
Because it's CHEAP
And it looks EASY.

And we all know how well that turns out - swimming in renewal fees with little to show for it.

So when domainers advise newbies to avoid handregs, it is not to discourage them in anyway but to help them lessen the pangs of pain that comes with expensive lessons.
Buying a single good name from auctions is almost always a better idea than a dozen 'nice handregs'.

Besides, our people here on Nairaland would only recommend consulting expireddommains, not auctions. And since the names from there cost the same amount as Handregs, it would be the more profitable option.

And with time, your brain would be capable of identifying a pattern in names that are profitable then you can begin your handregging journey. This may take years, months or weeks. Depends on the person's capabilities.

The Bit49 and CoinMena you cited as examples, I am sure you read their reasons for regging such a name.

There is a guy on the 'Reg of the day' thread on Namepros, he is not even a newbie but he registers names that are counter to any shred of reason in extensions you probably don't know exist. I have only seen a sales report from him and it was part of a bundle he bought from auctions, not handregged. Even though he has a lot of handregged 'gems' in his portfolio.

Let us learn to learn from the experiences of others while shaping our own niche.

Before you attempt to buy any domain name, make sure you have a perfect picture of a business, person or body that would benefit from owning the domain name.

Don't just register WHAT YOU LIKE or what you THINK somebody WOULD LIKE , register WHAT THEY NEED.

And it goes without saying to avoid obscure extensions like .ph, .tk and extensions on the verge of extinction like .mobi, .INFO, etc.

Take a moment. Close your eyes and IMAGINE a business built on SLICECS.com. Can you see the picture of a thriving business... A business that would be successful enough to want to establish a distinguishing presence on the internet

Alternatively,
IMAGINE a business built on the domain name CHAINBULLETIN/com. I am sure you can easily picture an online information outlet concerned with cryptocurrencies. That is a name that a business found worthy enough to pay $2000 for.

So, my $0.99 tips for you is to buy what endusers would need and the best way to do that is through extensive MARKET RESEARCH and INTENSIVE READING.

Begin from this thread, proceed to Namepros, never forget Namebio, glance through Squadhelp Marketplace listings.
