autorent:What you propose is like marketing a prosthetic leg to Usain Bolt. It does not make sense. .COM is KING. Let that sink in. Buying a .net when you already have the .com is a waste of money. As such, reaching out to the .com owner is unlikely to yield any positive result. That said, you could still reach out and see what happens. You have nothing to lose. |
YoobaNesan:Indeed, it would have been a nice place to seek validation if it weren't tainted by a brain-dead lackwit like you. Next time, read a post slowly before jumping in with a meaningless retort. Being slow is not a crime. Being loud is not a crime, either. But being slow and loud make people want to pound your head like yam. |
YoobaNesan:Just say Thank you, Daddy. Idiot. So the op no know say him suppose put full stop? His failure to include punctuations does not excuse your stupidity. Stop disgracing yourself kiddo. I'm not in your league. Now you are talking. Realise this: Bragging about superiority and competence with no evidence is the hallmark of a fool. Speaking of competence, mindlessly scrolling over Twitter timelines does not count. I know where your frustration comes from as you haven't had your $419 sales for over 19 mthsAs usual, your claim to knowledge is false. The origin of my frustration is sharing digital space with an imbe.cile trying to claim expertise when he has demonstrated difficulty in comprehending ordinary 2 lines of texts. |
YoobaNesan:I put the punctuation marks to make it simple as ABC for you. P.S: It's critic not critique. Free tip for you: Don't go handregging domain names because English is not your strong suit. You are welcome. |
YoobaNesan:This guy needs to shut up. Trying so hard to come across as an expert but cannot even comprehend 2 simple lines of text. Original text: Thanks a lot, I am motivated. They are my first 3 domains. I hope to buy more soonest. Where did the guy claim to be motivated by his previous 3 names. Read again. Slowly, this time. |

No. Just stupid. |
300wayne:This argument, like the original one, is stupid. A quick search will show you that LASU has about 3 campuses. One in Epe, one in Ojo and a College of Medicine in Ikeja. Now if Prof Kolawole is not the VC, Registrar or Dean of Student Affairs, a statement like the one below is stupid: If you haven't come across this guy (Prof Kolawole) as a LASU Student, know you still have a long way to go as a LASU student. |
YoobaNesan:What you wrote is stupid. |
YoobaNesan:Very stupid submission. Google shows there are 350.5 million registered domain names. If this guy owns 10% of all registered domain names, he'd have 35 million domain names. That leaves 315 million domain names NOT owned by him. The idea that every savvy domain investor must have come across names owned by him is just plain dumb. By the way if you're going to seek validation with someone's name, the least you can do is get the name right. |
Agness7:One month of studying this thread is NOTHING. This thread has 3,259 pages, how many pages have you read? Did you take notes while reading the thread? NEXT, delete the idea that you'd have the problem of transferring IMMEDIATELY to Dan. Sounds like you expect near instantaneous sales. That's a pipe dream. People who sell domain names within 1 day, 1 week or 1 month are not the norm. They are the exception. Even those people still have a ton of domain names that never gets sold. Or got sold near the expiry date. REMOVE the idea of a quick sale from your mind. Having said that, you can check tldesDOTcom for cheapest domain name registration, transfer and renewal prices. ALSO, avoid one...com. The registrar makes domain registration needlessly complicated. You'll get frustrated in no time. Use SpaceshipDOTcom instead. STOP saying you have 5-letter words. Unless you are not talking about .com. In which case, you will bleed money. You may have 5 letter gibberish .com domain names but not words. My advice: DON'T register any name yet. None will sell in time for Christmas. DISCARD the idea of a quick sale. READ this thread from page 1 to page 3259. Pay special attention to posts by beck.planet since you are interested in brandable domain names. DISCARD the idea of a quick sale. LISTEN to ALL episodes of Brandable Insider Podcast by Keith DeBoer. DISCARD the idea of a quick sale. PARTICIPATE in naming contests on SquadHelp and brandnewname. DISCARD the idea of a quick sale. |
EndSarsDOTcom sold for $1.5K yesterday. Interesting one.

Gosiso:VIRTUALLY nothing. Firstly, I'm paying for the VPS hosting that cost about 15k per month.A VPS hosting is excessive for a startup blog you're going to flip after a year. Also, there are a lot of places to get cheaper VPS hosting if you insist on it for some weird reasons. I'm also paying to use a keyword research subscription that costs about 10k per month.Which one? I make sure that the site uptime is good. This is NONSENSE. Save the jargons for people who don't know better. You have ZERO influence on the uptime after the initial configuration of the DNS. I do periodic offline backups for the site...Another nonsense. I come up with the article topics, keyword variations, and the outline to guide the writer.Okay. But your "#10k/month Keyword Tool" will do 99% of the heavy lifting here. I also edit the final copy, publish and market the articles to get backlinks and grow the site organically.I'll give you the first part. On the second part, how do you hope to market the articles? Guest post or buying links? Who'll fund that? The investor, right? the writer using AI, you're wrong again.Writer extraordinaire yet he'll write a 4,000-word uniquely written and thoroughly researched article for less than $4? Dude, spare me the BULLSHXT! He'll charge me N1 per word because we have a relationship and I introduced him to the world of freelancing. Now, we're getting closer to the truth. Your super writer will collect peanuts because he allegedly reveres you. You are bringing in a THIRD PARTY with whom you have an existing relationship into a new business deal. As I said earlier, you are being SHADY. Also, sounds like you are teaching a "masterclass" on freelancing with the promise of jobs after the class. Hence, you're using this thread to drum up business for your other business. the site niche would be one he enjoys writing in, he could even write for free sometimes. You don't say. We've worked on many projects and he handles some freelancing jobs for me when I don't feel like writing. You're a writer yourself? The irony writes itself. This is a nice strategy to get #16k/week. It's ALMOST genius. Moreover, he's currently writing for one of my blogs in the finance niche, and the site is doing well.Where are the stats for the blog. Your judgement is obviously NOT objective. Also if you have so many blogs, why do you need someone who'll fork out #400,000 just so you can be a "manager"? Are your blogs not profitable? If they are not, why do you think someone should "invest" #400K of their money in another one of your undertakings. Are your blogs profitable? If they are, why don't you invest part of your money into your proposal and keep the WHOLE profit for yourself? He is not your everyday writer. He writes only long-form articles or research papers of not less than 4,000 words, plus he's niche agnostic.B.S. I could bet he writes better than your N10 per word writer. If you're in doubt, put some money on this. You'd lose. You'd lose every time. My role in the partnership would often be overlooked by people who haven't managed a big project before.B.S. A manager isn't paid to take on many roles, but to manage systems and people so as to ensure the overall success of the project.Save this for secondary school kids Partnerships are underrated in Nigeria because people overrate themselves and exaggerate potential results. I understand the risks involved and hope that I could share that risk with others with the hope of sharing the gains as well.Isn't that what you are doing, though? You understand the risks involved? That's shocking! I don't remember reading anywhere you've written about those risks. All you've written about are sunshine and rainbows. You understand the risks involved but you're looking to trap ignorant folks who do NOT understand the risks involved into a #400,000 "investment". At this point, allow me to refer you to my original post: Only idiots will take you up on this offer. |
Only idiots will take you up on this offer. First, you want 40% of the sales proceeds for doing virtually NOTHING. You intend to "hire a writer" for #1/word while the investor forks out over #400,000 in tranches of #16,000 per week. While you bring NOTHING. The turnover period on flipping websites for $1K to $2K will NOT be less than 12 MONTHS. Channel that #400K towards targeted and skilled domain name acquisitions and you'll get a similar, if not better, ROI. ALL without the need for a "middle man". Finally, your #1/word "writer" is likely going to use AI to write the articles. With poor edits, no doubt. If that's the case, then the organic traffic, i.e value, you hope to add to the domain names is nothing but a pipe dream. Search engines will rarely reward such terrible jobs long enough for profit realization. In fact, your efforts could end up hurting the domain name. Next, you talk big without showing proof that you've done this before. Sounds a lot like you want someone to shell out #400K for your "experiment". |
James39:JUST 3 months? ![]() |
OP is obviously trying to scam a naive person. No legitimate business man has a problem receiving 1 million dollars. And very few Yahoo boys can get that much money. OP's target is greedy Nigerians. See how he's eager to drop his contact details. Contact him and get scammed for your last #10K. |
Imagine building something like this and your employees want to Work From Home. ![]() |

beckplanet:Very true. It's a $140 a pop gamble. That's money that could be spent on renewals. |
beckplanet:You're mistaken about .ai. It's $70/year but you must pay for 2 years upfront. So every reg is actually about $140+. With that in mind, I'd say .AI is not a feasible investment for MOST Nigerian investors. But as a veteran, you could probably give it a go. Also as a veteran, I'm sure you're familiar with the terrible STR in the industry. Do the math and find out if you're cool with the outcome. For instance, it'd cost around $700 to register 5 domain names. They claim .AI is hotter than hell right now, so assume a STR that's 5X that of .com. That's a 5-10% STR right there. Yet, it doesn't guarantee a single sale out of the 5 names within a year. Also, consider the fact the person with the most reported.ai sales on this thread is looking to recommend unregistered/available .ai names to a random person and split the profit. A Nigerian person made this proposal rather than regging said names and keeping ALL the juicy profits for himself. There's a lesson in there somewhere. That being said, domain investing is a WILD world. You could register the 5 names and flip them ALL for a nice profit within a few days, especially with your experience. |
Underdawgg:Asking a buyer to make an offer is a huge turnoff. You're afraid to set a low price and the buyer is afraid of paying too much. Best practice is to set a price that you're happy with. Doesn't matter if someone else thinks it's too low or too high. Plus, you're free to adjust the price however you see fit. If you want to get more technical about pricing, consider the niche of the domain name. Some niches offer goods/services at $100/hr yet the minimum wage in the US is $7.25/hr. Put that into consideration when setting a price for your domain name. But whatever you do, never set your domain names to make offer ONLY. You can mix of BIN and Make Offer, though. |
kokoBoii: kokoBoii:Stop acting like a desperate scammer. |
Another reason why Japa is the way to go. It's not all about money. Human life is worthless in Nigeria. Imagine people who took Hippocratic oaths going on a 5-day strike. All medical issues are emergencies by default. Any doctor who participates in this demonic activity should have their medical license revoked. |
Sapiosexuality:Tried this. It's better and faster. |
HOW TO BYPASS DAILY LIMITS ON COMPLETEDNS CompleteDNS gives 6 free trials if you have an account with them. 3, if you don't. Create an account if you haven't. If 6 is not enough, use this method to bypass the limit: 1. Log out from your completeDNS account and close the tab AFTER you exhaust the 6 daily limits. 2. Go to PlayStore and download Stark VPN. 3. Activate the VPN and make sure it shows "connected". 4. Visit CompleteDNS and click on "Try it out". Do not log into your account. Stick to the guest feature and enjoy the 3 limits per day. 5. After you exhaust the 3 limits, close the tab. 6. Go back to Stark VPN. Disconnect the VPN, select another server and re-connect the VPN. 7. You will have a new 3 limits. 8. Repeat steps 5 and 6 to get new daily limits. Someone asked for this. The method also works for DotDB. BTW when you start with a new limit, don't search for the last domain you did when you got a "limits exhausted" prompt. |
Oshiofe:How is the rate an issue? How much do you buy dollar now? Cz I bought from Chipper ash at #900/$ on Tuesday. #910/$ on Saturday. Sterling rate will definitely not be up to that. |
Salesbay:1% on the amount received. Then another 1% when you convert to Naira. |
Salesbay:I lost about $30 the last time I withdrew with Grey GBP. First from Afternic's exchange rate, then from Grey charges. As you know, Grey charges twice. Once to receive and then to convert your funds. It's better to use a domiciliary account if you have one. |
For people still having difficulty buying names.
|
gentlekeny:Curious. What domain names did you "buy"? |
God1000:Nigerians are very eager to make life difficult for each other. |
