therealMcCain:You're an intelligent person. Don't defend rubbish. This is you conceding that Tony screwed the guy over. And he's just one among many. Also despite the fact that Epik is a legal and separate entity, it is still essentially a group of people running a business. The company is not some mythical creature summoned out of the abyss. It is still people. And... Tony CHOOSES to remain one of those people. He deserves no pity, sympathy or aid from here the same way no politician in the Nigerian government does not. |
The KEY question remains: If the offer was so innocuous, why didn't brand.uche post it himself? Why would he need a gofer to post on a free public forum? Plus, why rescind the offer? The fact is he deserves EVERYTHING he gets and much more. People who think otherwise know little about what's going on at Epik. First off, he never bothered to warn people here, or anywhere for that matter, when Epik started to withhold funds. Neither did he show up here during the emergency "maintenance" of masterbucks. Plus, someone accused Tony of convincing him to conduct a $70K transaction via Epik when he knew that the payout would be withheld. He deserves EVERYTHING he gets. And the person who took it to Namepros is JUSTIFIED in doing so. People need to know that the employees of the evil company that caused so much pain to so many people are getting their breakfasts from Lady Karma. By the way, the "our brothers matters" schtick is lame. Lay the F off! Edited: He has a lot more money stuck.... ![]() |
He sounds reasonable until you look deeper and realize he's just dumb. First of all, majority of Nigerians don't own Domiciliary accounts. They don't care about dollars or exchange rates. Yet they suffer the consequences of the exchange rates. Nigeria is a country of 200M people with 90M people living in poverty. How these foolish politicians and their cronies want us to believe individuals with Domiciliary accounts rather than their own greed and incompetence are the reasons for the weak Naira is ridiculous. I lived over two decades of my life without touching a single dollar note. And I'm sure I am not the exception. They are quick to come after individuals with a few thousand FX needs while ignoring the criminal politicians with several millions stashed away in multiple accounts and countries and physical locations. Plus, the idi.ot claimed GTB loaded his ATM card when he travelled abroad. The same GTB would refuse to give an average Nigerian the same dollars. They'll tell endless tales about how Nigeria does not produce dollars and how it's so scarce. Even if they'll eventually give you the funds, it'll be after jumping through a multitude of meaningless hoops. Even then, you're likely to get less than you need. That said, I'd advise people to stop using Domiciliary accounts because banks are fast becoming criminals unwilling to release your own FX kept in your own account. Find better options and avoid remitting FX through these criminal financial institutions. Let them realize the consequences of their endless folly. |
priscy525:Grey's current USD account is not compatible with KDP. I'm not sure how you were able to connect it in the first place unless you used the previously issued USD account. If that's the case, then Grey will reject the payment. You will not get any money sent from KDP to a Grey USD account. What you need to do is change your recipient account on KDP to GBP NOW. Amazon will send all failed payments along with current ones the next time they process your royalty payments. By the way, it's best to confine KDP discussions to KDP threads. |
codemaniacs:The last time I did this, it only took a couple of minutes. But Grey's USD account was compatible with ACH transactions then. It doesn't support ACH anymore. You might want to confirm the charges with Grey's support. WebWriter:#890/£ |
codemaniacs:I withdrew from Grey yesterday and the transaction was instant. That's been my experience with them since I started using them. You can expect your withdrawals to be instant unless there is an issue with their payment processor. |
Telegram234: Rankett:They are currently facing difficulty arranging payouts. Check out recent reviews on trustpilot. Your money is likely to get stuck. Plus, you won't even be able to use it to register .com domain names in peace. Registrations keep failing. |
If you have any name pointing to Epik, change it NOW. |
Who knows Tony from Epik here? I read he's a Nigerian. |
Sapiosexuality:If you intend to spend money exclusively on domain names, you should consider receiving some sales proceeds via PayPal. Most registrars accept PayPal. Plus, there's no fear of unexpected limitations. |
Sapiosexuality:Chevy is also a trademark owned by the parent company of Chevrolet. |
Sanjayd1:That's true. But you can still open a Lesotho PayPal account that receives. That said, your Passport gives you a lot of options. You could open a Wise account. Has a lot of advantages. |
Sanjayd1:Use PayPal. By the way, have you completed the new KYC verification? |
codemaniacs:Any .com name caught by SAV backorder could have been handregistered after it drops. It means no other backordering services was competing for that name. It's cheap for a reason. |
Thebody:Works perfectly. The recipient gets a clickable link even if it doesn't appear so on your end. You can try it out between two of your email addresses. |
GeneralPula:Ordinary missiles are different from missiles with nuclear warheads. If Putin uses nuclear weapons, it's adiós to Ukraine. By the way, the reaction of the rest of the world to this war is disgusting and weak. All their sanctions without definite and direct military retaliation is nothing but a slap on the wrist. With a feather, no less. He should have been forcefully and overwhelmingly shut down from the start. All these thoughts and prayers...and halfhearted efforts are useless to Ukraine. The fear of nuclear war has rendered the whole world impotent. But the fact is, Putin and Russia will also suffer dire consequences in the event of a nuclear war. It's called MAD for a reason. But the world police would not allow anything to interfere with their safe, warm and cozy lifestyle. They don't care that much. |

omenka:You'd be surprised to know that same orange rots and waste away in the same Calabar. Nigerians are quick and eager to blame their leaders but Nigerians are their own problems. It's not scarcity of oranges that caused the price hike. It's greed and lack of economic literacy. |
moneymind:It doesn't seem like a matter of pride. The guy has a point. That name makes for a terrible brand. It's a two-word Brandable with 4 letters missing. A study of good brandable names as he prescribes will reveal that's not the norm. A single letter can dropped or added to a single word and you'd still have a good brandable. But dropping two letters each from two different words then mashing them together to create an unpronounceable abomination with no vowel is not good practice. The name is a radio nightmare. It'll leak traffic like a faucet. That said, it's not completely impossible for the name to sell. Just unlikely. Terrible names still sell. But that doesn't make them any less terrible. Tony recommends evaluating names on a portfolio basis. How well do you suppose a portfolio with 100 names like that would perform? |
Meedon:Register on Grey.co. it's what I use. Link the GBP account to KDP. You'll get paid in GBP. You can also convert your funds to NAIRA within Grey. Best way get maximum value for your money is to first convert GBP to USD. Then, convert the USD to Naira. Another alternative is Wise.com. But you need a valid international passport for that. |
Meedon:Change the bank account linked to your KDP profile. |
TopeQs:Masterbucks, the platform your money is stored after a sale, has been down for the past few days. That means you cannot withdraw your sales proceeds. Plus, they're not being straightforward and transparent about what is going on and when it's going to be fixed. Essentially if you sell via Epik now, your money will be stuck until further notice. |
Does the first phone come with charger and box? |
Qsand:Sure. Used it a few days ago. |
anungangampu:Stanbic is $50/month. Sterling MC is $100/month. If either of those do not work, get a virtual dollar card. ChipperCash gives one but rate is #700+/$. |
egwajoe:Not true. You can market your books in as many ways as you can. Plus, Amazon KDP has an in-house marketing platform that works like magic. |
Abeos:Your contact details? |
Who knows the current interstate cost of shipping a laptop via Speedaf? |
Avoid Nitvel. It's an elaborate scam trap waiting to spring. It's set up to attract the highest number of people within the shortest possible period. They'll eventually disappear with your money. The huge price difference points to nothing else. The website was created July 22, 2022 and it got two stellar reviews on trustpilot within July 23 and 24. Binance and CryptoDotCom, arguably the two largest crypto exchanges, both have horrible reviews on trustpilot.

Harshreality:Grey USD account no longer support ACH transactions. |
eezor:Morning, boss. Amazon KDP pays via ACH and the current USD account provided by Grey doesn't support ACH transactions. That means the USD account won't work with KDP but you can link the provided GBP account to KDP and Amazon will automatically pay you in Pounds. That said, you still need to request for a USD account. Grey has a low conversion rate for GBP/Naira. You'll get more money by converting your GBP to USD to NAIRA whenever you want to withdraw to your Naira bank account. |
