Atiku's Loss, now that the chips are down... It's no longer news that the so much anticipated 2k19 election is come and gone. Even though the gubernatorials are yet to slug it out at states level, we can refer to the remainder as a tail end of the so much anticipated election whose blare rented the country's atmosphere leaving no space for other topics to sit on the internet. Yes, the election was held, Buhari won, and Atiku lost. However, for those who have followed the unfolding of the country's political trend closely, it won't be anomalous or atypical to admit to the fact that there was this common perception among quite a number of the populace that whoever wins the 2k19 presidential election between Buhari and Atiku, could trigger the eruption of crisis in the country unlike the 2k15 election were crisis was only thought to be preeminent had Buhari lost to Jonathan. Contrary to this believe, Buhari has been declared winner and everywhere seems good, or at least for now. Notwithstanding the notion by some that the election was a sham or caricature of how a democratic electioneering process should be, it can be said that relative peace is still being maintained in the country, but this does not avert or obviate the critical thinking aspect of a rational mind from generating thousands of questions which begs for answers. 1. Did Buhari actually won the election? 2. If yes, is he the right pilot to fly us to the promised land? 3. Since the process was said to be battered and shattered, Why wasn't there a protest or at least a demonstration affirming Atiku's claim? Not even from Adamawa his home 4. Why do those who believed Buhari had changed from what they knew him to be in 1983 thereby giving him a chance in 2015 think Atiku is allergic to changing from being the criminal they call him without any legal proof? 5. Could Atiku's plight and the relative peace we enjoy despite the outcome of the election be due to the fact that Atiku has no fanatic followers and is not a perpetrator or initiator of violence like some people consider Buhari to be? 6. Is the rest of the country coming to an agreement that the north has monopoly to violence and can do and undo when leadership is the subject of discourse? All these and many more are questions that skims through the nucleus of a rational mind. Whatever be the outcome of the decision Nigerians have made for the next four years, I sincerely hope that events will unfold in the best interest of the common man. As for Atiku who I believe is in a serious consultation mode whether to go to court or accept defeat, I also hope that whatever be the residue or resolve of his consultation, let it also be in the best interest and safety of the common man as posterity will judge every man according to his deeds. And as for Buhari, if he truly won, I say a big congratulations to him but if later evidence shows he actually rigged the opposition out of the contest, he would be remembered as a man who shattered, raped and decimated our democracy. I say this because what seems to be a secret today may cease to be tomorrow. As for those nursing the opinion that the president is all powerful and Wields the power to decide if he should stay or leave irrespective of the people's choice even before the election was held, I urge them to trade carefully and be wary of what they see as normal by being more logical with their thinking in the future rather than putting up emotions at the expense of reasoning as we may not have another Atiku in the future. Other lessons learnt from this occurrence is that every human being should lead a life that makes you acceptable from your very home, carry people along, don't always try to win alone, leave room for others to win, don't follow the common "the end justifies the means" syndrome because it's much better for the means to justify the end, show some weaknesses and let those around you be your strength in those areas, and lastly, the north which I'm part of should be more civilized and stop seeing leadership tussle as a do or die affair. Notwithstanding, I still rep Saraki and see him as a legend in Nigerian politics. Saraki himself isn't such a bad dude like most people portray him. It's just unfortunate that the "O to ge" movement was initiated in his time. But most importantly, it's fine by me if voting him out gives some sense of freedom from the Saraki dynasty to Kwarans. One thing any same mind won't forget about Saraki is that he's the first SP to have utilized the concept of power devolution to its maximum in this democratic system we claim to practice without minding the consequences. |

I wonder if some of these men are actually sitting on their brain, or perhaps, they talk before they think. So, rather than the APC NA members to agree within themselves to choose a capable leader who can oversee the NA affairs, this old fo** is advising Buhari to handpick whoever he likes to be their head. Common sense didn't dictate to him that it would be a problem if Buhari picks someone whom the majority of the NA members don't like. no wonder corruption is CORRUPTION only when it doesn't favour your interest And a prof. at that? GreatResearcher:My GOs ké Before I find you Worthy to argue with on this kind of issue, your sense of logical reasoning should be at average or above average. However, every single point you have made here from the original post to your replies shows absolutely incoherent logic. Do some research on philosophical logic and reasoning pls. U will thank me later |
GreatResearcher:Mr brain! Since you seem to understand that some Christians also prayed for Buhari's re-election, how did you draw your conclusion that God doesn't exist? Or does God answer prayers according to the population of people that prayed ![]() |
Bari22:Seconded by me |
GreatResearcher:Guy, think twice before saying useless things. There are also christians who prayed for Buhari's re-election... little wonders Paul Cain said, "most heresies are the result of men trying to carry into logical conclusion that which God has only revealed in part." Also, don't try to write a full note on a coin by looking at just one side of it. Now, the question you should ask yourself is if you are even qualified to be an atheist because you will need much of logical reasoning in your desperate desire to deny God's existence. And from what you wrote above, even a blind man can tell that logic is far from the conclusion you drew. You just drew your own conclusion without considering other variables. If you live your life based on the logic you used above, then my candid advise is that atheism is not good for your health because any real atheist would be disappointed in this logic of yours. An atheist who lacks logic, is that one an ATHEIST? |
