, the Fulani militia, Bakassi boys militia - now extinct, OPC - archaic and not modern enough.
It is high time our rich men in the SW started piling up modern day arms and retraining the OPC for modern day warfare.
They need support would you supply them arms.,.,. and the ND militants are the best they will win all the tribes in a war you have alreaDY CONDUCTED IN YOUR blank brain?
For all those calling the Yorubas cowards especially those that fled, I would say it makes no sense trying to fight a man carrying a machine gun with a stone or cutlass. That amounts to suicide. You may go to hell. However, if these people were equally armed and still fled then you could call them cowards.
The audacity of a dead body. If you are going to heaven with your kind of posturing then I would rather choose "hell".
Also, people from nearby villages fled because, many especially the young ones may not have heard sporadic gunshots of that magnitude in their entire life. They must a heard a rumour of war raging at the next village and thought the best thing to do was flee. And you know rumour spreads like wild fire. Even up till now many may not have heard the real cause of the mayhem.
I remember when the Lagos cantonment bomb blasts occurred that several hundreds of people living far away from the area of the bomb blast panicked unnecessarily and in the hope of trying to cross over to the other side of the bridge thereby "escaping the war coming towards them"  all perished in the canal. Most of them were reported to be Igbos.

  Yeah alot of Igbo on planet pluto died next thing you will say "Igbos" are cowards that is why alot of "them" died  did you count them ask the dead bodies to know they were "igbos" ?

@Pstylist
@All
On a very serious note, I find the news very disturbing. It has confirmed my fears about the grave danger of the SW being unarmed in modern day Nigeria.
Believe it or not, the Ijaws are well armed at least to a reasonable extent and can take on any ethnic group in the nation at present.

"THE IJAWS?" have you gone arround to count the weapons that the militants have?. You must be a member of the DMI Dumb mumu intelligence come to jungle for debriefing.
But I see no reason why a vengeance meted out on some people in a village by a group of very friends as a result of the murder of the father of one of their own should escalate to a Yoruba - Ijaw war. And why were only five people killed? Ex-militants carrying sophisticated weapons could have wiped out the whole village in a matter of minutes. This goes to show that they were only after those they think had a hand in the death of the father of their friend/member.
Even university cultists behave in similar fashion.

Oh you are hoping they killed more so that we have an ethnic war. I see your point

The poster is a Ghanaian. I am very politically savy of Ghana. I have read so much of Ghana and I have lived here for 15 years. The opening poster is a Ghanaian and I think he might be an Elephant.(NPP). The History of the NPP is that they cause Fear and panic. It is seeming that They can only win Election through causeing fear.

@Nigerians

Ghanaians are a people simmilar there are politicians that love it when Nigeria does seem to be at war with Ghana(the only English nation close to Nigeria) The politicians in Ghana are very sophisticated, the one from the NPP. The ones from the NDC are more social minded.

You would be surprised that the Innitial poster tried to stair up reasoning from Nairaland He qouted someone that was a Ghanaian trying to cause a feeling that Ghana was at state of backwardness and war. Soon he could go to the News paper and say Nigerians hate Ghana so there must be a political Change.

The battle for oil revenue is picking up they are trying to learn from Nigeria but the party that dicovered oil are not going to take it easy. Nigerians forget about Ghana and face Nigeria. God Bless Nigeria and Ghana ,

@Mbulela and Beaf.

Look at the double standards. Let me agree for the sake of arguement that the stereotype you and the Parasitic elites created is true, dont we as first Nigerians have it as a duty to Love our brethren. You see a typical Jobless Southerner is Just brainless as an Almajiri. We accuse the north of the same thing. We always foolishly look at the "north" through the Eyes of Oil and Education. What have we done with our education? Have we created jobs for all the people of the South? If the south was an Egalitarian society dont "we" think that "we" should be the ones employing "them" as slaves?

If they are the cause of "our problem" does it not allude to the fact that "we" are weaker? Our elites tell us that "they" are the problem they fail to tell us how. We cant continue with this stupidity. We are weakening ourselves. I dont care about this foolish politics of secession. If we most splint it must be done in Peace. Haters of Nigerian dont have a solution hence they incite. I have sworn that Anywhere and anytime I see hate I will fight it with all I have.

Beaf:

How about, the Southern elite are not blaming the British for Southern standards of education? Rather, there was free education in the West and Midwest and high standards in the East. Compare that with 10 million almajiri's running loose (an estimated 2 million in Kano alone), kids who should be with their parents.

Lack of education is the factor that threatens the North most. The almajiri crisis is a time bomb that will blow up one day soon.

This was what I was saying the northern Elites control them because they have no alternative. You think the Almajaris do it for free? However there is a similarity of what I call Indirect social control in the south, you are told something by the Elite you believe him because He has money and power. Let me ask you if you were a Northerner and you hear all this arguement on NL how would you seek to fit in when You have Judged and condemned only by the language spoken.

We made the Almajiris. can the almajiris come to other states to becomes citizens?

First of all the Junaid Guy is an ape. He is stupidly feeding into the stereotypes that the soouthern Elites have created. This is why are argued that the Criminal Parasitic Elite will not leave Nigeria alone. They have their errand boys in every tribe. They recruit soldiers to propergate their evil schemes. They operate when they are not in power. The control indirectly. They are on Nairaland. We sell and buy all kinds of stereotypes and we painfully live with them till we die, we need to fight this mindset.

@Okunoba

My question to Sanusi is Since independence over 50yrs ago, what have the Emirs, governors and past presidents of Northern extraction done to correct the  education deficit of the Muslim North which he attributed to British rule of over 50yrs ago? What as he personally done as part of the Northern ruling class to promote education in the North, what is he doing to change the almajiri educational system of the North where children as young as five are sent to  Islamic schools to learn nothing but the Koran and that is usuall the only education they will ever get unless they are from the ruling class like sanusi. Western Education in the North is only for the privileged few.

Very Good let us ask ourselves what has the southern elite done. Should the Oba of benin take responsibility for an action of a Niger Delta Militant? What defines The Muslim North? The southern Parasitic Elite had a Psychological strangle hold on our reasoning. We accuse the Imaginary North of the same thing we indulge in. We need mental fasting.

SANUSI IS NOW DENYING NORTHERN HEGEMONY!!!!

Me sef:
How did he become CBN Governor in the first place? By hardwork or brilliance? Lest Sanusi forgets, he became CBN Governor when all the policy makers of the economy - National Economic Adviser, Finance Minister, President of the NSE etc were all from the North.

and so what, suposing they were cow chasers so what?
Me sef:
I am dead sure if the vacancy for that position was advertised, Sanusi will not rank in the top 10 of successful candidates. I think Sanusi needs to be reminded of this. We are not fools!

I am dead sure you have a dead brain Yes you are dead in the frontal lobe or there is none in your skull. You just proved you are a retard. that is why it is called an appointment.

Me sef:
If not for Northern hegemony, how did we come about "One North",
You dont know what you are talking about. Hegemony? Where are the Hegemon Class that is Purely northern, Define the North. Who are the serfs. Who are the "we"  that came about "one North"
Me sef:
"In the interest of the North" and never any vocabulary like "In the interest of the South"??
You must be talking about another Nigeria on Jupiter besides who gave you the right to divide Nigeria? Define the interest of the North------ Do you mean giving people post defines the Interest of the North or South? You must be a complete lazy man waiting from crumps from the table of a Southerner.

Me sef:
I cannot fall cheaply to poetry or beautifully constructed speeches, this country is not one and never one because there is always the "Interest of the North" that conflicts with almost everything progressive. When it comes to Presidency, you hear them say Zoning, government appointments - federal character, admission into educational institutions - quota system, health - (remember polio vaccines) southern ploy to kill northern children (who already do not have lives because of the enduring legacy of almajiri).
I will not also fall for your BS you and ilks like you brain wash the new Nigeria.You just showed that you are even worse than "them" because you come accross as an Educated Iliterate Almajiri. What is the Interest of the North? You are a tribal Bigot you need to by a Gun and blow your brains out.

Me sef:
Sanusi, inflation is still at double digit, go and do something about that and leave history alone till you become Emir of Kano.
Run away from Nairaland and jump over a cliff.

Furthermore, the main qualms against the retard called IBB was looting, not the economic running by the other 2. Although the looting has an impact on economic running, it was not poor economic decisions that led to economic collapse, it was the avarice of IBB and his institutionalisation of corruption that led to lack of funds not being able to back economic activities or deliver economic goals.

This is a democracy I disagree. The sociological stage of Nigeria must move from Theologically biased to a more Philosophical one. We must be ready to die for our conviction. On this arguement of Ethnicity where is the scientific approach of testing our Philosophy. example hutus  or is it tutsi were regarded as Cockroaches what was the Philosophy was it tested where was theology and science. We move forward without Philosophy,

Yes they should have bitten the bullet. Our cowardice is killing us. I know people that have died for lesser mundane reason. Do you know how people that died because of there decision.

This culture is what keeps the technocrats away from scrutiny. Our technical men should be held responsible even if it was Hitler ruling us. They should have resigned or worse still "begged to be shot"

That is a capricious lie from the pit of Hell. The hausa language was a trade Language for several year. When the northern parts of Nigerian were usinng pen we did not have any. The Northern civilisation is more developed.

80 million pay imaginary taxes with their mouth.

Light bill from 1980 1999
40 million houses use average power #1000 every month
40 mllion x 1000=  40 billion
40billion x 12 months = 480 billion a year
480billion x 20 years =  9.6 trillion naira

business  and import Tax
12 billion dollars a year

PETROL
2million barrel a day x $100= $200 million Government share is 60% hence $120 million accrues to the state government pays consultants, workers and NNPC undertakes Turn around maintenance on behalf of the Government(Slumbeger bring over bloated contracts conniving with Nnpc).
