Grim news reaching us from the University of Port-Harcourt today states that 3 students from the institution were executed by a mob who reportedly foiled a robbery attempt by the trio.

The student\'s names are Lloyd, Ugonna and Aladin. A check with our correspondent in the institution confirmed the story and further revealed that the students were reportedly new initiates of a cult on campus and the robbery was supposed to be a test to successfully induct them in the fraternity. Going further, we learnt that the robbery took place in a village called Aluu and was foiled by the villagers. From the pictures we received, it was clear that the students were severly beaten and tyres were swung over their necks as is usually the case when a mob is about to set a robber in flames.

It remains unclear if the student were burnt to death but we have been receiving reports which indicates supports that outcome. It is reported that one of the students is an only child of his parents and there has been no official comment from the university at the time of writing this report

This time it's a female student of Tai Solarin University of Education. According to classmates and friends of the slain student who sent the story to me, Wunmi Adebayo (pictured above) was shot dead last night at a male friend's house at Golden Estate in Ijebu Ode, Ogun state.

The 200level student was visiting the friend when they were attacked by armed robbers who robbed them and shot her in the face because she fought them off when they tried to Molestation her.

The 21 year old was buried today at Ijebu Ode according to Islamic rites. Her friends say she was very jovial, friendly and kind hearted. Her candlelight procession will hold tomorrow at skyfield in Lagos.

At least one person has died and two are in critical condition in a hospital following a deadly car crash in Cotonou Benin. The victims involved are Nigerian students studying in North American University, Houdegbe. The exact cause of the crash is unknown but from the news obtained from our correspondent on ground and from pictures floating around, it seems the car [A Jeep] lost control and somersaulted.

It is also believed that 7 people were in the car when the accident happened. The students were returning from a party held at Fly Club in Gaito. Two of the students are International Relations students while Bisoye [the only confirmed fatality] is a Computer science undergraduate. The police in Cotonou are currently investigating the issue and until then all news regarding the exact cause of crash will be mere speculations.

Our hearts go out to the family of the deceased and we wish a quick recovery for the others receiving treatment. We will also inform you on new development as the story develops.
