I went to Poland for a few days on Easter and saw 4 different cities. Going to share the photos here since I'm a photography hobbyist and you guys love travel photos
Starting with Gdansk, which used to be once German and called Danzig. Gdansk is a harbor city on the north side of Poland. Its old town district looks like a place out of fairy tales. My photos don't really do the justice. I took hundreds of photos, I will sort them out and post the best ones here.
The photos here are the train station, its tower, a big cathedral and the mill building.
KOPT33: I didn't even know I was talking to an oyinbo... I just looked at your profile!
A person could be educated abroad and still be clingy. I think it really boils down to the individual.
There are clingy women even in Scandinavia, but it's a rarity and those are mentally ill types with serious problems. Somali trolls thought I was an angry West African pretending to be oyinbo, I defended Nigerians against them real good
Willexmania: 1.) 70,000 YEAR OLD BRACELET : - russians found the oldest bracelet in the world. it was found inside a cave.it's made of chlorite that gives it a green colour.
This is the famous Denisovan bracelet. It is 40.000 years old, but some scientists say it might be 70.000 years old. This is way, way before the advent of agriculture as we know.
The product of the incredible craftsmanship and skill of Denisovan people. They were a distinct human species like the Neanderthals. The fascinating thing about this bracelet is how it was a record of the skills and development of the time, preserved in broken jewelry.
The hole in the middle of it was drilled with a tool, not much different from modern drill bits. They threaded a thin leather cord through the hole, which held a small ring made from the same stone as an extra accessory. Scientists determined the kind of drilling tool and the technique used for drilling the hole by analyzing the drilling marks on the stone, also determined the leather cord from the polishing effect it left. Those people had the skill to tan leather and make cords from it. There is also evidence that they sanded down the damaged parts of the bracelet when it suffered cracks and nicks.
So those Denisovan people, tens of thousands of years before agriculture and settlements emerged, had the level of development to drill stone with tools, use grinding methods, tan leather and make cords from it to adorn jewelry, which shows a level of development far beyond what it should have been in that period of time.
KOPT33: Hmmm, I get you now. It surely wouldn't be asking for too much if I say that I want a Nigerian woman who understands those concepts, would it?
There are Nigerian ladies educated abroad, also the feminists who won't cling on men like that since they are independent-minded. If not, then maybe a campaign to educate the young ladies about the importance of keeping personal time and space in relationships and being emotionally independent?
KOPT33: Wow, I am intrigued by this. If I may ask, where did you grow up? No wonder you're trying to recruit me into your ranks. There awesome Nigerian women out there for a person like me, especially Igbo women. I am a tribal person, so...
My ideal marriage is the type of marriage that will not demand much emotions from me. It would be like an 'I am here, you're there, but we are happy kind of thing.'
Not trying to recruit you, just saying not all women are like those you see, there are also black women in other cultures (like African-American, Jamaican-British) that are nothing like those women you have dated and respect separate time/personal space concepts
KOPT33: That's going to be hard. White women don't do anything for me. Allow me to tell you something, and it is totally off the tangent, but...
Okay, so yesterday, I went out clubbing. You know how clubbing is: one gets to see the most beautiful men and women in town; yesterday was not an exception. Because I'd had some alcohol, my perception of beauty was heightened. Sometime around midnight, a group of about 11 people arrived, 6 women and 5 guys. The guys, save for one, were Nigerians who had married white women --all the women were white-- in Europe. They spoke Russian all through.
Naturally, I had to check out the women. Their colour, along with the generous colours of the club, dazzled and shone. They had nice skin, but it only glowed a weak golden hue when the lights bounced on it. Curves were lacking, their movements were awkward to me, the bulk of their derriere hung like the neck of a sleeping child on his mother's back. They had no vitality, no elan, no energy. I didn't feel any sparks, instead, I wondered how they coped with not being in a black skin.
Black skin is a wonderful gift when you think about it. It doesn't crack, it defies categorization, there are a thousand hues of black when lights bounce on black skin, it shimmers and flatters the light.
Mehn. Black all the way.
White skin, is nice, but to be honest, I didn't feel any charge when I looked at those white girls; but, looking at the black beauties? Whoa!! electricity, chemistry, the rousing of my loins, the quickening of my heart. Black: It is the colour that my memories are written in. I find solace in my memories, I find solace and happiness in my black women.
But, do they make me mad? At times? Yes? Yes, definitely. Thinking about it now, I remember the words of a wise man who said: "women are a necessary evil in the lives of men." He didn't say that with malice in mind, it was rather said in a sincere recapitulation of years of experience in the ways of women. He might have been married to a good wife or a bad wife; he might have been a life-long bachelor... all of those don't matter, he just knew that women were, you know, not a little right in the head.
I totally understand since only very tall, blue-eyed Nordic men do it for me - no other kind. I can completely relate to what you say about elctricity and chemistry aspect. Maybe find a Nigerian lady educated abroad and has some kind of hobbies and habit of hanging out with her own friends? Or African-American? I think the clinginess is to do with culture, it seems to be a huge problem with the Middle Eastern women too, Except for the very westernized ones who learned the concept of personal space.
KOPT33: Where will I find these Scandinavian women that you speak of?
Scandinavian countries! The internet I think women who have a serious hobby/interest should also qualify. They will spend time on their art/craft/hobby and give you space.
Abbeybailey: Before you know, the people in Nigeria will start eating each other. Anyone that kills animal indiscriminately will not mind to kill fellow human when hungry. So sad to see all the exotic animals being wiped out in Nigeria due to hunger.
KOPT33: Most women are like that to varying degrees. I have dated enough people so I can tell.
Maybe most women where you live. Scandinavian women are the complete opposite of that. Having your own space and own life outside of relationship is very important.
Abbeybailey: So sad. I can't understand why killing someone will make a person rich. No wonder Nigeria is a mess.
It doesn't make anyone rich or else those herbalists telling them to mine skulls wouldn't be living in filthy slums themselves. Only creative entrepreneurial mind, talent and hard work makes one rich.
Willexmania: 7.) THE OLDEST HYMN : -these music clay tablets were written using cuneiform signs in the hurrian language . they were found in syria. it also includes instructions on how to play.
Here is the youtube video where you can listen to it. Simple but beautiful melody.
Willexmania: 6.) THE FIRST FLUSHING TOILETS : - it was found in a turkish city in 100 AD. 3 long benches were equipped with 36 holes.it had running water just like the mordern ones.
These are Roman toilets. I've been to Ephesus and took a photo sitting on the one in this pic
Abbeybailey: Before you know, the people in Nigeria will start eating each other. Anyone that kills animal indiscriminately will not mind to kill fellow human when hungry. So sad to see all the exotic animals being wiped out in Nigeria due to hunger.
Some people already butcher humans for money rituals.
KOPT33: I dated a girl for two years who just got married two months ago. We cohabited for a while, even though it was some of the best times I had in recent memory, I still shudder to think that if I married a woman I:
1- I will lose my personal space. One hour away from her (I work in my home office) she would come and disturb me. Lord! Just one hour
2- Women are too emotional for my liking: she could read the silliest meanings into the most mundane things. I refuse to let explaining myself become a customary feature of my life.
3- Tears. Tears. Tears: at a point, I wondered If I was that bad because I really wasn't doing anything that I couldn't take from anyone
4- Food: I am yet to meet a woman that can match my skills in the kitchen, or have the same eclectic taste for food like I do. I am not interested in changing my cuisine because of any woman
5- Attention: women and attention: ants to honey. I am by nature a very emotionally detached person. I don't want to start relearning how to live my life.
6: Responsibility: I have my life's work. If I get married, I would become weighed down significantly, I would always have to account for somebody. I say NO to that, for now.
There loads and loads of things that I cannot mention, but the joke is on anyone who tells me to "go and marry." Since I screamed at my friends for telling my that crap, it has subsided quite a bit.
This sounds like early 20's age group. You were dating the clingy, immature women. Someone with high education and professional career shouldn't act like that.
This is a disgusting and barbaric act. This man is setting a terrible example and behaving like a hungry savage instead of being a role model for the society. Some other countries go out of their way to protect these endangered animals. I remember once when I was walking around at the beach with friends in the States, we spotted a huge sea turtle stuck ashore, realized it must be sick or injured and called the wildlife hotline. We waited there for half an hour until the rangers came and took the turtle to the marine animal hospital. There was a big hospital specialized in marine wildlife, built by the state with taxpayer money. Development is not achieved by building flashy buildings, it starts with compassion, caring for the others, especially those that are weak and vulnerable, including animals.
thunderbabs: Ehennehnn, buh foreign countries are so quick to parade alleged Nigerian criminals in thier countries... ..
You according them rights they dont reciprocate .
Naija too dey fall buhari hand
This is about power and influence. Citizens of wealthy and powerful countries have the political influence of their country behind them. Citizens of poor, undeveloped countries are treated as such cause their government has no influence. Nigerian with the UK passport won't get paraded, you can be sure of that.
We had those things in the Balkans 200 years ago. Only it was superstitions about the dead coming back from the grave and sucking the blood of the living, no one killed anyone on suspicions of vampirism. At least no one killed anyone on suspicions of vampirism. Chai! This is primitive and ignorant thinking. If the dude got violent during baptism he probably had a mental illness, it's a senseless murder and that pastor should go to prison for murder.
shaybebaby: I have to disagree my love. One uniting factor in all the problems that country faces is our lack of humanity.
We do not value human lives, hence why corruption exists with impunity, mob justice, lack of infrastructure, illiteracy of the masses to name a few.
You see, if the people truly believed in human rights (including the leaders), such a mindset would guarantee decisions made to foster the wellbeing of the populace and guarantee a life of dignity for all which naturally would mean LGBT would benefit and be allowed the same.
More effective would be criminalising religion . As long as it has the stronghold it does, MAYBOT is on a long thing.
I know dear, but it takes a lot of development to come to that level. Europeans persecuted and killed lgbt's in their dark ages. Oscar Wilde, one of the greatest writers of English literature, had been thrown in prison for being gay. Those were the times when river Thames was an open sewer and cholera outbreaks regularly decimated London. One cannot expect humanist tolerance in a society with extreme poverty and ignorance. Nigeria has to first erase poverty and ignorance, the rest will naturally come.
Artificial Intelligence can’t legally run for high-ranking public administration positions yet, but one mayoral candidate from Tama City, Tokyo, intends to maximize the use of artificial intelligence in running municipal affairs, so he’s running his campaign as ‘AI Mayor’. Basically, he’s proposing replacing human public officials with AI and having them collect city data and create fair and balanced policies that will benefit everyone.
“For the first time in the world, AI will run in an election,” human candidate Michihito Matsuda announced on Twitter. “Artificial intelligence will change Tama City. With the birth of an AI-Mayor, we will conduct impartial and balanced politics. We will implement policies for the future with speed, accumulate information and know-how, and lead the next generation.”
44-year-old Matsuda also ran for mayor of Tama City in 2014, but lost by a large margin. This time around, he merely aims to act as an avatar for the AI he is convinced can make better decisions than any human can ever hope to. Not to mention that artificial intelligence is much less susceptible to corruption.
Gay marriage is a first world issue. I want to know what Theresa May is smoking to achieve such a level of detachment from reality. Sure one cant be that ignorant of the world they are living in? I've never been to Nigeria in my life and don’t know any Nigerians (except for a few friends I made here on NL) but after reading NL and a few Nigerian news sites for a couple of weeks, I learned all about the problems of Nigeria. A head of state should know better than making such ignorant statements. Nigeria has a million urgent humanitarian problems to solve before it comes to first world luxuries like gay marriage. For crying out loud!
AussiePlayboy: Never been to Tasmania. Its an Island on its own. However, many of those things you read in documentaries aren't found in major cities where the majority reside. Most you ll find are Koalas and kangaroos while driving on motorways to regional areas. I only see dead onea on the way, never been hit by one. Anyway, I ll be driving to somewhere regional today, so expect pictures
It'll be cool if you take photos with the kangaroos and koalas!
