You look igbo and you could be from any tribe from Southern Nigeria due they probably make 40% of africans taken out west africa.

Judging by your look, You look Fulani because you got their typical hair , but you could still be from any northern minority tribes, because you can find people that are not fulani but still posses the curlly hair feature that is dominant to fulani. Dont get me wrong their are fulani with kinky hair but just not the kinkiest and even if

I doubt if you are hausa, reason is only little percentage of hausa people were taking out of africa for slavery for hausa are sahel and sahara dwellers unlike Igbos, Yoruba whom dwell at slavery coast. But if your DNA said you are hausa then probably you are but a rear case even your cheesy slanty eyes and hairy eye brown are that of Hausa. smiley

if your DNA result does not specified your ethnicity and only point Nigeria then their is very little chance you are hausa.
According to the DNA test he's 13% French, that's why the curly hair.

You cannot claim that Islam has something when you cannot produce evidence for it in ythe Qur'an or sunnah
If people who call themselves Muslims still do certain cultural things, it does not make it part of Islam

There are things that are done by Nigerian Muslims that an Arab Muslim cannot comprehend. Is it part of Islam then?
Those people you call wise - who do numerology etc - have not submitted to Allah. In Islam you don't divine the future - its clearly stated in the Qur'an

Anybody who does that is taking him/herself out of the fold of Islam. And that person can then go fully into the religion that their hearts truly incline to
Everyone has their own version of Islam. There are 1000 versions which one is the real one?
People love divinations and village people love their occult. If all those people aren't to be considered Muslims, then there won't be too many Muslims left outside the Saudi.

I'm not even a Muslim anyway, why do I care grin

A box of lentils+2 tomatoes+2 onions costs 6-7 euros at most. That's still nowhere near 5k Naira. Something fancier than that will cost more but lentil soup is great as it is.

That is not part of Islam. The Muslim practice of "fidau" for the dead after 7 or 40 days is not part of Islam. It is part of traditional culture that people have not abandoned

Anyone carrying amulets, photos of some "sheikh" etc around for blessing and protection is ascribing partners to Allah. If you ask him/her, he cannot bring proof that it is allowed in Islam
Village people of Turkey didn't abandon their shamanistic ways. Islam couldn't erase the native culture of Turks, Persians and Maghrebis. They have wise women doing stuff like that in Morocco too.

They don't use photos but they make numerology and magic square talismans. Muslims have their own occult traditions in the underground.

RomanceRe: I Am Lonely In America by revontuli(f): 11:24pm On Apr 15, 2018
Best way to bond with people to build close friendships is joining volunteer activities or getting a serious hobby with social aspect. I moved to different cities/states for work and made a social circle and good friends via book clubs, Star Trek and Harry Potter fan clubs, volunteer activities. Go do some charity work, that's a great way to meet new friends and good karma.

Go to meetup.com and search for hobby and activity groups in your city, it's a free site and there is a meetup for every hobby and interest, unless you live in a small city you should be able to find something.

There are people in America living with this condition. They need to bathe with special solutions and constantly use moisturizing skin creams, I've rrad an intdrciew with a young woman who was born like this but managed to survive with good medical care and even went to university. Sadly, I don't see this poor kid surviving in those poverty conditions.

Sometimes I see sacrifices by road junctions - something like a goat head, white rice and stew and Fanta. Nobody eats them, but why waste such food if the babalawo or whomever offered the sacrifice is not plain stupid?
This crossroads offerings is also in traditional Celtic religion, Mexican juju practice and Central Asian shamanism.

Nagive doctors of Muslim Turkish villagers put offerings at crossroads for rituals for finding husbands for old maids, returning stolen/lost items and healing spiritual sickness.

Traditional Finnish shamanism had the practice of leaving offerings at ancient spiritual sites, which are marked with piles of rocks.

Why do you guys judge people practicing the native religion? It's better than taking up an alien religion of foreign races. So long there's no sick stuff like human skull mining or rape is involved, nothing wrong with that they do.

shocked

This is an epitome of womanhood.
Imagine the peace the world will experience if more women were mature enough to appreciate that sidechicks and second wives are advantageous to them.

Imagine the 'wear-and-tear' the arrival of this second woman will save her.
Calculate the stress she'd be relieved of now.
Picture the excitement in her soul knowing she'd be sharing both responsibility and liabilities.

God bless all the liberal wives in the world.
Only if the men become mature enough to accept the side guy!
If men are allowed to have side chicks, then women should be allowed side guys. That will end all cheating cause women cheat as much as the men.

Desperate naija boys should take a cue from their female counterparts and learn how to choose a white partner properly. They should stop going for the old, wrinkled bags of fufu and get the young, hot women. But wait... which other women would want to even be with and put up with Nigerian men and their bullshit? None! Nobody fancies Nigerian men like that apart from their own women so they should be eternally grateful for that.

Foreign AffairsRe: 5 Facts About Netherlands You May Never Know- Aroms by revontuli(f): 8:56pm On Apr 13, 2018
Dutch agriculture is a wonder to behold:
This National Geographics article explains some of the marvelous things they have achieved:

https://www.nationalgeographic.com/magazine/2017/09/holland-agriculture-sustainable-farming/

Quoting from the artice:

"Almost two decades ago, the Dutch made a national commitment to sustainable agriculture under the rallying cry “Twice as much food using half as many resources.” Since 2000, van den Borne and many of his fellow farmers have reduced dependence on water for key crops by as much as 90 percent. They’ve almost completely eliminated the use of chemical pesticides on plants in greenhouses, and since 2009 Dutch poultry and livestock producers have cut their use of antibiotics by as much as 60 percent."

"One more reason to marvel: The Netherlands is a small, densely populated country, with more than 1,300 inhabitants per square mile. It’s bereft of almost every resource long thought to be necessary for large-scale agriculture. Yet it’s the globe’s number two exporter of food as measured by value, second only to the United States, which has 270 times its landmass."

Read this one too: http://www.producegrower.com/article/philips-lighting-vertical-farm-netherlands/

Both articles have a lot of photos showing the impressive technology and engineering.
Foreign AffairsRe: 5 Facts About Netherlands You May Never Know- Aroms by revontuli(f): 8:37pm On Apr 13, 2018
GiantParrot:
I used to think this way in the past. Not anymore. As some people have mentioned, the leaders are a reflection of the people.

There is a stark difference between the Dutch and Nigerians in terms of value systems. The typical Dutch values thrift, honesty, egalitarianism, intelligence and the rule of law. For example, Nigerians have very high tolerance for corruption, and value obscene displays of wealth and materialism. That is why we defend and worship our thieving politicians who steal our collective wealth to purchase costly cars and build huge edifices. On the other hand, the Dutch have zero tolerance for corruption and view materialism as a vice. They have this concept called "Gierig", an expression of thrift. They believe in making prudent use of resources, in getting good value for money. With that attitude, there is no way they can exist on the same plane as us. We're just a bunch of ridiculous people who think we can sow stones and expect to reap apples. As though the laws of nature and the principles of progress will somehow bend to our faith.

I have spent some time in the Netherlands - Rotterdam, Amsterdam, and Den Haag, and I can assure you that those people live in a different world than us. I find it difficult to believe we are the same species. Crime is virtually non-existent. They are even closing prisons due to lack of prisoners. At some point they were asking their neighbours, Belgium, for prisoners in other to keep prison staff employed. Unlike every rat and cockroach who goes into politics in Nigeria and wants to be treated like a King who no one can approach, you can enter the premises of the King of the Netherlands, an actual king. You can enter their parliament building without hassle. Just explain your mission and you'll be fine. Try that as a random person at the Nigerian national assembly and you'll have a painful story to tell. You won't find armed body guards harassing people and patrolling the official residence of the mayor of amsterdam along the gentleman's canal (Herengracht). A truly free country.

As Bill Gates advised the babbling f00ls in government who perpetually appear on the defensive whenever they receive sound advice, we need to spend more on investment in human capital development. A country's human resources are its most important resources. Have a deficient set of human resources and you'll end up with Nigeria - an impoverished country with so much wealth in the form of natural resources.
Ostentatious displays of wealth seems to be a major problem in Nigeria. Celebrities and rich people showing off their expensive cars, private nets, luxury weddings frequently appear on the front page on Nairaland and attract much attention. This is indeed weird and alien to me, not to mention depressing.

Scandinavians have the same mentality, people who make a load of money use public transport. You can see the politicians, heads of state, MP's, celebrities riding bicycles. I've seen an international rock star riding his bicycle in public. I've seen our ex-president at the market buying vegetables. Like you said, showing off material wealth is considered a vice and a shameful, immature act. Even rich people present themselves with a humble image.

Yar'adua was a very handsome man.
I'm not Nigerian and don't know much about Nigerian political history, but it seems Yar'adua was beautiful inside as well as outside, judging from the comments here.
