Great leaders exemplify themselves in bad times. They make mountains out of molehills. They relish opportunities to make good times out of bad times. Great plan and design produces good products. APC and Buhari have no designed plans. They only have great wishes. And that is just not enough. Buhari is not only INCAPABLE, is also governmentally impotent. Grossly lacks managerial know how of governance. |

A tribal bigot is always what he is, bigot. In his first coming as military dictator, 99% of his supreme military council members were his tribal people. This supreme military council and him were the real powers of authority over the nation and the states. Not the token governors he appointed. |

OlujobaSamuel: so you think the legal angle was not considered? people made so much noise about legality when cbn started the idea of banks publishing names of debtors, yet none was bold enough to challenge it in court. it's not in my place to start yelling on behalf of politicians for having their names published as those found wanting in corrupt act. the list I believe, comprises of those that have returned money and the amount returned, and the list of those that decline to return and currently have their case in court, so there will be classification, it's not like it's a list that will be tittle CORRUPT POLITICIANS/NIGERIANS, so there is no way a libel suit will be proven in court. Good. Is proper to dot all the 'i's and cross all the 't's. Have no love lust for corrupt political thieves. Loopholes must be closed for all criminals that illegally enriched themselves at the expense of the poor masses to prevent future escape from justice . |

How does that amount to abuse?
that should let you know that a form of plea bargaining was done Plea bargains must be adjudicated by competent court of law for admissibility in trails. Means of obtaining the confessional bargains must be legal. Tortures, intimidating and coercive interrogations produced evidence are not viable evidence. People admit and do anything required to stop painful inflictions on them. Even when they are perfectly innocents. |

Without legal advicers, and acting with mob instincts. Constituted authority must exercise all due diligence before actions. This government seems more prone to irrational actions that have not been exhaustively thought through. |

Boss13: This is public humiliation. Many people should be praying for their name not to be on that list. I guess a lot of the corrupt people will be begging Lai to exclude their names.
If you ask me, I believe this is the way to go about it. If you steal, you get the shame. Every Nigerians will now know those people who have been robbing the country blind. I expect to see some popular names, however, those popular ones have no shame already. This is a smear campaign. Anybody in the list that have not be convicted by court is a suspect. Even if they've confessed and returned some money. The confessions might have been obtained by illegal intimidations, tortures and coercive interrogations. Buhari name should be the first on the list. Otherwise, the list is a piece of trash and waist of time and money. |

If they really want out of Nigeria as they claimed, then they should call there pipu together and seek for a referendum if truly they are popular even among their pipu. They can take a cue from UK how they are going about voting out of the EU. This anambra governor is a disgrace. This agreement is treating cancerous tumor with bandages over it. The underlying issues of primitive grazing, and destruction of others financial investments in farmlands is unaddressed. Proper settlements should have include punitive fines and rewards for destroyed farmlands crops. And enacting standing fixed punitive fines for any proven herdsmen cattles found violating cultivated farmlands crops safety integrity. This herdsmen appeasement settlement, only encourage future cattles truancies over farmlands. |

All Fulanis from states across the country. |

These are the only ones arrested so far. Survivers reported they were in the hundreds. The first suspect arrested with video of the attack, confessed his involvement. And that he is a fulanis born and raised in Enugu. And the attack involved fulanis volunteers from across the country. Coordinated and launched from kogi state. Unhindered investigation will reveal knowledge of the attack by their northern elders. And possibly their governors and Buhari from their informants among them. That could explained why the president paid deaf ears to the cries and agonies of the victims that preceded the attack. And their subsequent attempts to divert investigation efforts to faceless foreign attackers. |

banmee: I said how many. One or two incidences does not constitute a pattern. For example, there are crimes in the U.S but that does not mean the U.S is not a safe country. See what I mean? Just because that happened does not it is the norm. At the end of the day, the law/the govt would still hold sway. Not many, and that's because everyone knows, respect, and obeys the laws. In the few occasions Fed overreach it limits or citizens trespasses. Corrective measures becomes inevitable. Most incidences have been precipitated by citizens activists like Ruby Ridge groups and Republic of Texas activists groups trying to force the hands of federal government to release designated reserves lands for statutory uses. Not the other way around. |

banmee: I don't know what your argument is. First you said they can't. Now you say the can. You are not dealing with Nigerians. Of course they will compensate you but if you refuse the compensation, they will take it by force. They only can for exploration and exploitation of regulated minerals. Due to sensitive to what they are used for. Not for every other minerals. Federal government can't kick minerals rights owners from land because it want to exploit the oil, gold or silver in the land. The Fed is not the one who granted the rights. The states does. |

banmee: I said they can if they want to. Read my comment again. If they need your land they can take it away from you. They don't because they don't have to. They have a tax system which they use effectively so they don't have to. Of course they can. But not without adequate compensations. In cases of regulated minerals like uranium for example. The individuals bearers of the land minerals rights will continue to be compensated based on productions from the land at pre determined compensatory rates. That is not confiscation as your statement implied |
Politics › Re: Nigeria Is Headed For A 'full-blown Economic Crisis'- Yahoo Finance by rexzqcom(m): 12:14am On May 25, 2016 |
banmee: So, let me get this straight. Just because you have your own definition of what kind of system Nigeria operates does not mean Nigeria does practice a federal system. Which is why it's called "the federal republic of Nigeria". Just because it's leaders don't know what the phuck they are doing is no one's fault but theirs. And by the way, the federal government does not control how they generate revenue except for oil. This why you hear that the chinese are partnering with one state or the other. On the subject of controlling oil, the U.S government can come to your land and force you out if they need the resource there. So it is not new or uncommon. The only difference is if the U.S government does do that, they will make use of the revenue is a responsible way unlike Nigeria. U.S. government does not control states natural resources. States does. Except when the resources are in federal reserves or off-shores. Even, individuals can and do obtained certificates of land ownership and minerals right simultaneously or separately from their states. Issues of eminent domains for federal land use differ significantly from resources exploitation purposes. |
