alosiby92: Although the modern music videos by Nigerian artistes have improved in quality, quantity has worsened in terms of the ladies in the music videos.
In my opinion, they are not respected AT ALL. All I see when I watch these videos is sex and sex appeal being sold.
It disturbs me in that as a female, I feel like I am being objectified and that these girls are treated like crap and are seen as nonentities.
To all the music artistes, when will we see a clean music video where we can enjoy the song without thinking of the girl vigorously vibrating her nyash in the video?
It makes me mad to think that even when the song has nothing to do with a girl, one girl must feature half clothed in the video.
These videos are spoiling market for all the decent girls out there.
I may be wrong. Perharps there is another reason why there is so much disrespect in Nigerian music videos.

Sir Alex Ferguson has retired
as manager of Manchester
United, the club have
announced this morning.
There was frenzied speculation
overnight that the Scot was set
to quit Old Trafford at the end
of the season, and the club
have now confirmed the news.
He will step down at the end of
the season.
He said: "The decision to retire
is one that I have thought a
great deal about and one that I have not taken lightly," said
Ferguson.
"It is the right time."
Ferguson's last game in charge
will be at West Brom on May 19
and he will join the club's
football board.

The State Security Service,SSS,
on Monday paraded a suspect,
ex-militant Adelola
Tamunotonye Olaore, alias
“General Africa,”, who planned
to assassinate and extort
money from Senator Aloysius
Etok in Abuja.

Senator Etok is the man
occupying the Ikot Ekpene
Senatorial seat, a position
Akwa-Ibom state Governor,
Goodswill Akpabio is eyeing in
2015.
The suspect, who was born in
Port Harcourt, hails from Okeho
in Kajola Local Government
area of Oyo State.
He confessed to having been
contracted by three of
Governor Akpabio’s loyalists to
assassinate Senator Etok,
adding that to convince the
Senator, he offered to give him
the Governor’s purported Bank
Account and Energy Company
in South Africa.
Adelola claimed that he wanted
to broker peace between
Governor Akpabio and Senator
Etok, as he had been following
the rift, but was arrested by
security operatives after
extorting money from him.
The suspect was picked up
based on a letter by the
Senator to the SSS titled
“REPORT OF THE PLANNED
ASSASINATION BY A MAN WHO
CALLS HIMSELF GENERAL
AFRICA (AN-EX MILLITANT)”

The Senator was asked to play
along with the suspect, leading
to his arrest on April 29.
Speaking recently in an
interview, the Senator said,
“That is what happened during
my second term struggle that
as soon as they knew I was
going to contest, my wife was
kidnapped. After the release of
my wife, my mother-in-law was
kidnapped.
“When she was released, she
died because of the torture she
received in the hands of the
kidnappers. As a result of that,
my father-in-law died out of
heart break. Therefore, I also
want Nigerians to ask Governor
Akpabio what I have done to
him. I have not done anything
to him. I want all of you, like I am going to send a petition to
the President, to ask Governor
Akpabio to let me be. That his
hit squad which he has
resurrected should let me live.
If anything happens to me, I
want the world to know that
Governor Akpabio is after my
life.”

Hip Hop Crooner Abolore Akande a- k-a 9ice might be owing PHCN for light at his Ahmadiya Abule egba Lagos home.
Some PHCN officials reportedly had visited his home and disconnected his light cables.
But after the officials left, a
miracle happened and the
cables were noticed to be
'reconnected'.
The PHCN officials paid another visit to 9ice's home about two weeks later to probably get settled but were shocked to discover light that. they didn't authorize.
The officials stood outside
threatening to disconnect the
cables again when 9ice
supposedly came out and
counter threatened the PHCN
officials daring them to disconnect his cables..
9ice also rained abuses on
them in his native dialect and
the officials had to quickly
leave when area boys in the
area begin to gather around in support of 9ice..
Before they left, one of the
PHCN staff who is a fan of the
crooner was so angry at the
way 9ice behaved that he went to the car they arrived in,brought out two of 9ice's Cd's and broke them in front of the crooner's house.
