Sagamite: Abeg, please don't talk rubbish on this Nairaland URL. If it had been Siasia (Who I can confirm is also a blackman) even if he had just based his team around the Olympics team (leaving key players such as Mikel out) I would have been assured, in the sense that he knows what he is doing - whereas fool Mumudu did not have a clue. How can fool protect fool then call others fools? |

It's good to dream though, and I REALLY hope this dream comes true - we will beat Greece though, they are our Bulgaria. |
Sports / Re: Roger Milla Criticizes Eto'o: "Brought Nothing To Cameroun Team" by Rhydem: 12:13am On Jun 04, 2010 |
For Eto'o to question whether he still should go to the world cup proves Roger Milla correct. How can you question whether to represent your country because of what one guy has said. |
Sports / Re: South Africa 5 - 0 Guatemala, What Is Happening To Nigeria? by Rhydem: 3:42pm On Jun 01, 2010 |
EDIT: I've reconsider it is true, you should really be prepared against any opponent. Be it Guatemala, Portugal or Pakistan. |

Sports / Leave Lagerback To Do His Work! by Rhydem: 12:47am On Jun 01, 2010 |
Haba, see how yesterday, people were praising Lagerback. Now they are calling him names left right and centre, we are too fickle let the guy do his job, then we can criticise, he won't want to disgrace himself for his own careers sake in South Africa for the world to see, so in Lager, we must trust. We have seen and people have commented that the Super Eagles were slowly beginning to evolve from Super Chickens to playing like Super Eagles, Utaka may not even feature in the team so lets not worry. If he does I feel he will have bring a small contribution to the team, we can see he is not a completely USELESS player he brings something slightly to the Portsmouth team. Consider Kanu playing in a vital 15 minutes against Greece where we need that extra inspiration upfront - he will provide that. I don't know whether Martins will be strong in this team, to be honest I don't see him as a footballer, he plays with too much urgency as if he doesn't know what on earth he is doing. We may see Yakubu play MUCH better under lagerback, in terms of the 'luck' he receives in the EPL may shine through in the world cup especially if Lagerback can tweak the supply given to the guy - he knows how Yakz plays so he will adjust the team to suit that aspect. I feel Lagerback knows what he is doing. It is too late to be doing risks, he needs to use the base that mumudu and past coaches have used and TRY his best in an attempt to bring them togther to play cohesively. |

But there is a time and a place to speak truth, things like this can demoralise a team. If you go into doing an objective with the belief you cannot complete it, failure is inevitable. |

Kx: I know, over the years he seems to have lsot confidence in his ability, either that or he is a RUBBISH player. |
Sports / Obafemi Martins Rights Off Eagles (see Idiot) by Rhydem: 4:17pm On May 28, 2010 |
MOVED by the impressive results from the friendly games played by other opponents of Nigeria in the group stage of the 2010 World Cup, VFL Wolfsburg of Germany striker, Obafemi Martins, has Can you imagine, you're doubting yourself before you have even kicked a ball. If you go into battle believing you'll lose you'll undoubtedly be unsuccessful. If there's no belief there will be no motivation. |

Sports / Lagerback Vs Siasia by Rhydem: 8:03pm On May 27, 2010 |
Siasia should have been in the Nigeria set up as a coach or More so as the Manager of the team, but with the vast amount of corruption in the NFF, it would be very difficult for him to succeed. If this was in England where a guy was hailed as being on of the best managers in the country being English himself they would have given him a try, and alteast developing a team for a couple of years. (Okay maybe I'm over-exaggerating, in terms of experimenting to develop a team) but compared to Nigeria, we need a new base whilst England have a solid base at the moment. The set up has no organisational structure and no agenda in my opinion, there view is; We will take action when tomorrow comes. Which is very bad for any organisation be it football or any business. For now I think Lagerback is pulling on great strings, he can bring all the tactics he likes but it is like cramming for an exam 2 days before you go take it, you might be lucky and succeed or you may just fail miserably. The only advantage Lagerback has at the moment is that he is foreign he will gain great respect from the European based players, which is a shame, when we all saw with our own eyes what out own fellow countryman (SiaSia) has done for our country on two occasions even against the opponents we deem as tough (Argentina) see how we almost won gold against Messi, Mascherano, Riquleme, with our young boys. Haba it is not a small feat O. I just hope and prey that Nigeria can have an organised NFF in the near future, one free of bribary and passionate about football - like those in England FA. I can dream abi?! I'm just hoping SE do not Lagerback in the world cup abeg. |

Sports / Nigeria V Columbia Cancelled: Not: Okay Again Cancelled. (up Nff) by Rhydem: 8:17pm On May 25, 2010 |
http://www.lutontown.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10372~2059127,00.html
"Contrary to local and international reports, the Hatters can confirm that an international friendly match between Nigeria and Columbia will NOT be taking place at Kenilworth Road on Sunday. The Club was approached to host the fixture and were happy to do so, but, due to the short notice and because of the arranged Luton Carnival on the same day, the required policing and stewarding arrangements for the game could not be organised in time. As far as the Club are concerned no other plans have been made to ensure the fixture goes ahead and any further enquiries should be via the Nigerian or Columbian Football Associations."
|
