kakakent:which has Christians in Lagos are you talking about that will vote a very divisive fellow like Buhari..... I am Christian and I live in Lagos and I know that most of Christians shudder at the thought of a Buhari presidency. That is the fact. The man is a polarizing figure with very dangerous support base. His supporters up north are ready to kill any Christian or opposition supporter I'm the event the man lost the election. It is better he loses at the primaries than go on to pose danger to people's lives. |
All these pretenders claiming Religion does not matter think we are all fools. I have a question for you all, if religion does not matter to the so-called progressives then why does region matter in who represent the party for the Presidential elections, apparently the space is reserved for only northerners and you sit in your hypocritical arm chair and preach to us about how Nigerians should grow beyond religious sentiments. You all are full of bullshyte and you know it. |

dmozart:guy you obviously do not know jack about politics and how people vote. See you contradicting yourself as if what matters is whether he is a true Christian or Muslim or whether religion can be exploited to swing any way. |
Bororojo:it worked? What Worked? Is it not shameful that people can excuse BUHARI's Mediocre performance as a leader and quickly jump to criticize an average Joe. You lot that like to shout competence just do not see the irony of using BUHARI as an example to cite. In my earlier post I threw a challenge, I said outline The man's achievement both as a military head of state and as the chairman of PTF, a cesspit of corruption he helped Abacha manage. |
abdulwastecx:Obviously, from the way you write, it is clear you are still a kid that probably was too young to understand the political madness that greeted the Buhari government. Buhari has nothing of worth to offer leadership at any level in this country besides flaunting his self-cultivated piety and false messianic posture. In terms of intelligence, Jonathan is better, charisma, Jonathan is better. Qualifications , Jonathan is better. Tolerance and temperament, Jonathan is better. Achievements as leaders, Jonathan is better. I challenge you to Point to one major project or initiative of the Buhari administration, you will be hard pressed to find anything he did that is worth mentioning besides stupefying and alarming rate if human rights abuses, despotic and mafia trial style of executing so-called dissidents and lining his pockets with our money. Buhari is a lower and not fit for any leadership in a sane society. |
scholes0:many of you just like to write sentimental nonsense just because you want to support a stance. Which sector of Nigeria was improved during the Buhari and Idiagbon led regime. You call the very undemocratic and mafia style of leadership they use an improvement, many of you lots need to move to Iran and the likes where you are regulated and curtailed by the religious whims and caprice of some sheik or royal despot. |
All I see in many of the comments amongst people that think religion does not matter is all wishful thinking that is a very far cry from the realities on ground. Nigeria is not ready for any combination that will have any one religion, tribe or region dominate leadership positions at the top and next level. Talk all sophisticated as you like and want, the majority of Nigerians that will vote are the very religious ones you meet in the mosque and churches. You think religion is not an issue because in your family you have Christians and Muslims-and so what? Which South western state has both her governor and Deputy come from the same religion? Abi una religious tolerance no reach that place ni. Is Aregbe's deputy a Muslim as well? The most traumatic problem this country has faced and is still facing is religion. This has even wrecked way more havoc than tribalism. Just because you want to win by all means does not mean people's sensibilities should be ignored on the alter of pretense that it does not mean anything. The irony of the combination is that if this were to be reversed, there is no how any Muslim person will see any justification in the leadership of a Christian_Christian combo, no matter how promising and wonderful it is. Yet some pretenders here think because they are from a region where Muslims and Christians come from the same family they are more tolerant than regions that are predominantly Christians. Yet history shows it did not get that way because of tolerance but through cultural amalgamation from both the marauding Arabs from the North who find it easy to force their religion on the people of that region than another. It is not like there has ever been news about religious unrest of any kind in regions where Islam is not fancied, so what is the fuss about the St being religiously tolerant. Very stupid claim, I must say. |
Obviously many people commenting here are kids that hardly vote or follow the imo state politics..... PDP is going to outdo itself with all these desperados looking for a piece of the Douglas house. Rochas is still hugely popular in Imo state, it does not matter what you think about him joining the APC, the man is still a candidate to beat..... I don't see how the likes of Agbaso who has shown several times that he does not have political clout in the polity of imo state. I was in Imo state when his very dull and politically naive brother was impeached and thrown out of government like a common criminal despite his Martin Agbaso 's so called political clout.... The fact that all 20 sth members of the state house of assembly voted for him to be kicked out showed his elder brother he had thought could pull his weight was after all not as powerful as they play him out. Agbaso is an overhyped politician as far as I am concerned... Rochas is a way better politician than him, that's the fact. |

MrsBreezy:Don't worry about that street urchin that's busy pretending to be what he is not. Below is what the weakling did, the coward couldn't spill his guts in the same thread, instead he hijacked another unrelated thread to quote and abuse his papa.... Lol..... Now read the nonsense from your voltron "American boy"... Lol.... You are new here anyway, your eyes go soon open.
|
zappyj:Lol.... My brother I think say na only me see the fool o.... |
MrsBreezy:Lol.....apologize to who dear ? Your voltron ? |
foxxynik:nna you dey see the thing wey I dey see too..... Lol.. See the small Boi still struggling in college and still living off his parents threatening me on his screen.... Lol... I blame the Mofo, why im no go dey form super man on NL, after all it is an anonymous forum where any simpleton can be anythinganything and claim anything.... Schemes. |

Prolly hoping to get his own million naira Rolex from you.... Better be careful what you reveal to him.... Reminds me of platinum nk, theseeker and FL gators..... It was no good, no go dey let am dey sweet talk you into posting pics and revealing yourself to him...... |
cooljoe:Who is this nincompoop talking tough to, do I look like one of your usual averages that you can intimidate on your little screen What can a monkey like you do to me, abi bomb dey your head ni!!! Come on gba fu o!!! |
Blitz888:this is exactly what I want to read from any of the igbo - igala people in Anambra state. Don't sound like you are begging for rights, you are who you are with no apologies to anyone whether from awka or onitsha.... The task of promoting the igala language and culture rely largely on the hands of the igala - igbo people in those areas not necessarily the government, at least for now. I usually tell my Yoruba friends in Lagos wey wan Yan anyhow unto say I be omo igbo, the only difference between you and I claims to this Lagos is the fact that you are from another Yoruba state and can hide under that to tell me leave Lagos for you.... But if you mess up on my property, na the same real Lagos Yoruba boys I go take beat you enter your grave..... Lol |
HisMajesty1:Chineke!!!! Pius Omachonu is the name of my class mate in St Finbarrs College..... I did not know the boy was igala (not that I knew anything about igala minorities in Anambra then) but the guy obviously flowed more with Igbo and Calabar and a South South guys than any other tribe...... Wow..... It is possible the igwe is his uncle. |
MrsBreezy:Yeah I know, but..... Hey the boy friend you gave that Rolex hope he has not broken up with you yet .... Cos that will be a case of day light robbery if you let him break up and still keep 6.7million naira.... Now I see why this Boi here is all over you like white on rice, he is probably hoping to get a car gift if he finally lands you ..... Lol |
There is no how anyone can watch both Osofia and Saka and then come off with the conclusion that Saka is a better Comic, how? To be honest I have never found Saka funny, the MTN I don port thing is an advert concept from advertising agency that found Saka a useful tool to announcing how easy a non mtn user can switch to mtn, not necessarily because Saka was a better comedian. Osofia on the other hand is a natural, all a director need to do is have him in his film and it is comedy. Don't tell me their comedy has cultural backdrops cos I can speak and understand both igbo and Yoruba fluently yet Saka is not anything close to being the best Yoruba comic there is. .... The likes of Baba Suwe will edge him out in a comedy film any day. |
MrsBreezy:if my eyes are not failing me, are you one of the girls in the picture you posted shortly Now that is interesting, I had earlier thought you were older but seeing those pics of two very teenage looking girls, I don't know what to believe any more.. Wow!!!!! Nairaland is full of the unbelievable. |
cooljoe:I can understand you are trying to get her to like you and all but don't be commenting like it is something that happens on the average. I can bet my iron balls you have never been a recipient of anything close to a 100k gift let alone 6.5million naira..... Na who you wan dey form big boy for...... Even in America, only a very few privileged can boast of having such pricey gifts 85% of Americans can't afford it...... So make I hear word, get real Jor!!!!!! |
MrsBreezy:NO Dear , I don't and I used to be a Rolex stan .... Never heard of any Rolex Presidential wrist watch though I have heard of Rolex Day Date president wrist watches..... So where did you buy your own..... Anyway, I am not going to argue about that, I just find it hard that you can afford the wrist watch or your dad can afford to "dash" a pricey wrist watch that is supposed to be a very heartfelt gift from an appreciative friend which you would later casually give to your boyfriend..... Call me Thomas but it is just incredible!!! We are talking about 6.5million or so worth of wrist watch here, it is not a gift that anyone can just dash at the request of a loving daughter.. Just saying. |
MrsBreezy:hmmmm...... OK, Adenuga's first daughter na which role wrist be Rolex Presidential ![]() |
PapiWata:stoopid fvcktard that I'd busy copying hate messages from another foreign forums.... It obvious you do not have any clue as to where the man is from or had always lived.... Your ignorance and outburst only shows how your Wickes heart is willing for others to die so that you can survive..... Again, I wish that the Ebola virus will plague you and your family so that you can feel the frustrations and desperation of the man and other Liberians that are suffering from this disease and at the risk of it. God punish your generations both present and unborn for using such tirade on another person ... .. Peace will never be with you..... You will writhe in pain to your death. |
PapiWata:You are an utter ediot........ I hope you catch the virus you stoopid fvcktard with no sense. |
MrsBreezy:o yeah, $40k wrist watch is very much affordable for any average Jo in America... Chicken change. |
Hahahahah..... See exactly what I am talking about.... This is a chic that barely knows me..... Except that we got introduced through a friend online o..... That's Nigerian girls for you...
|
The fact is that an average boyfriend - girlfriend relationship in Nigeria is typically one-sided and too traditional in its setting. It is like the two people involved go into it with preconceived notions of their roles, the guy is in it mostly for the $exual gratification and the Chic is it for the monetary gains. It is very rare for a Nigerian lady to go out with her boyfriend and opt to pay without any prodding from the guy, even if she has her own money. You see women working who find it difficult to Change their faulty phone unless their boyfriends do so and all that crap!!! I have had a woman tell me that there are some things she just does not spend her money on even though she can afford them, she expects that whoever is dating her has to provide those. I have female colleagues at work who make it a routine that when they go out with you to the restaurant to eat, you must pay the bills. If they notice any hesitation on your part, they pay for theirs alone and forget the times when you used to foot the bills for them. The next thing they do is to start acting out like you owe them something the next time situation comes. That's a typical Nigerian lady for you. One was even so keen on us going to see a movie even when I am not interested, she is not even a date yet she dey expect say na me go foot all the bills, I was just looking at her. Not that it is big deal, I just get pissed when I notice that you expect me all the time to do stuff for you all because you are a woman, crop!!! Nothing opens up a man like a woman who is not expectant in a relationship, who is in it for the real thing not somebody to help her get by financially, only one of my girlfriends have been able to surprise me before with her selflessness...... Once I told her I was broke and she asked for us to meet at an eatery, not only did she load my stomach, she also gave me an amount of money I totally did not expect from her. This was a lady who at the time we had stopped dating but we're still very much in good terms. Till today, she is the only ex I respect for her personality, works very hard for her own money and has no qualms spending it on herself and people she loves. I have already made it a point not to date anyone that is not working or come from a family whose issues require that you must get involved financially if you must date the girl, I have experienced it and it was a big relief once I disengaged myself from the relationship. I wish I can be that lucky with ladies that have their own money, I find myself falling for the same type of ladies, no job and very dependent on their relationships for survival. For now, I dey oyo. |
MrsBreezy:na who we go ask..... Besides, you are bothering, may be you should move on and stop replying me, I thought that was the plan..... Women sha!!!!! |
firstEVA:The point is that it is the same mentality you have with your boyfriend that you will also have when you are married with a husband. You seem to have this false sense of entitlement that sees giving as a one-way thing.... It has to be the so-called man. |
