omonnakoda:Hahaha.... I don't remember boasting to you about anything, does my intelligence intimidate the shit out of you.... Too bad I can't help your feelings..... I am here to whip ignoramuses like you and the temperamental slow poke I quoted earlier on into line.... If you can't stand the harshness of my reprimand then mind your damn business and comment like you have got some sense in that thick skull of yours. |
Goldenboy007:hahahahaha..... Typical of a slowpoke to resort to finding fault, you probably will be a junior to me both in age and social status, you can spew trash on here because of the anonymity granted to you by the Internet, enjoy the luxury of anonymity but just so you know, you will go mad if you tried to do the kind of job I do or be half as intelligent as I am..... Not everyone you see here is in your mediocre league..... Next time be sure to pick your own size when you want to be a prick. .. Lol |
HungerBAD:Stupid anecdote being used to shortchanged people. How's Buhari's largely biased choices so far been the product of competence and not political reward? Many of you comment as if you are dealing with children with little capacity to understand the political undertones at play. How does taking over four months to select a cabinet ensure competence or choosing people largely from your neck of the wood equate to choosing competent hands. What kind of bullshittin is this? If people are complaining of being sidelined, it is because it is very obvious from Mr President's statements, body language and selections so far. People will continue to talk about it until they see some level of balance and inclusiveness in this government, you or anyone else can not use the argument of competence to sweep it under the National carpet of nepotism and sleaze, there are very well qualified people in every region and state of this country, if they are mostly coming out from a particular part, it is because somebody is deliberately making it happen so not because there are no qualified people from any of the regions, if it were all about competence, the entire North can not have more people qualified than people from the East, the facts speak for themselves. |
Goldenboy007:Nigeria is what it is today because of pretentious and dishonest morons like you who rather sulk up once the person in power is your favorite telling them the truth is not important and does not apply in their case. God Forbid that a bigoted retard like you will lead any position of influence in this country, it is so obvious how daft and myopic your logic and sense of fairness is. In case your thick lame brain is not educated enough on the Constitution of this country, a quick Google search will help cure your utter ignorance on the issue, instead of commenting with stupefying ignorance on what the Nigerian Constitution allows and does not allow, you are better off shutting that dirty hole in your ugly face and let people who are way more informed than you educate your ignorant @ss. Again, only a bigoted fellow filled with an overly inordinate ambition to be seen as a fierce supporter of Buhari will make the kind of unfortunate and careless statement credited to Pat Utomi who should know better than to make divisive statements that makes him come across as politically ignorant and naive. Unless he and the bigots supporting his unfortunate statement can prove that Mr President is faced with a limited pool of where to search for qualified Nigerians to use to develop this country then it does not make any sense in every ramifications for anyone to justify or imply that the reason why most of Mr President's advisers so far have been largely from a particular section of the country is because they are competent. People need to be careful the kind of dishonesty they spew in the guise of supporting anyone, it is very easy for somebody else from another region to do so in their own sphere of leadership and claim that the imbalance does not matter so long as they are qualified. If it was entirely left to the instrumentality of competence alone, it is very clear that representation from the North won't be anything when compared to their counterparts from the south. I am not against anybody supporting Buhari but please don't spew dishonest mumbo-jumbo just so you can be seen as an ardent supporter of Buhari, we are all Nigerians and gave interest in contributing our own quota in developing a great country. |
sammyj:cave man logic and reasoning. How does choosing only people from your village ensure competence? Unless you can prove only a section or tribe or village can produce competent people then it's hypocritical to OK an obvious scheme that excludes people whose competence is seen from the prism of the part of the country they come from and not actually their abilities to get the job done. |
Goldenboy007:Your argument is very flawed and I dare to say irresponsible. You think Nigerians are fools that you will use the logic of how many of your tribesmen blablabla to defend the very naive and playing to the gallery talk by Pay Utomi. He has shown over time that when it comes to politics, he is a learner who is yet to understand the political realities of his surrounding and thus country at large. How can a professor born and raised in Nigeria promote the idea that it is OK for a government to use the excuse of competence to scheme people out the process leadership and positions. Unless he and his supporters can argue that competent people are only found in a particular region or section of the country, Pat Utomi is talking nonsense, let him go and contest for the governorship position of his state and preach this sicklogic to them and see how Deltans will reply him..... |
Pat Utomi and his quixotic political ideology many times make him come across as politically naive, the implication of his suggestion is that in a country as diverse and politically divided along tribal, sectional and religious considerations striking a balance that reflects inclusiveness in choosing the best people for the job is not important. Very naive talk that is very typical of a political idealist, and he wonders why nobody can take him seriously when it comes to politics, he thinks it is all about competence as if competent people can't be equally sourced from outside his supposed one village, the success of a large country like Nigeria lies in the diversity of our effort not individual or sectional alleged competence from any group. Very flawed political logic from the Prof, no serious political analyst make statements like this one, if it were all about getting competent people then we could as well go outside Nigeria and source people from developed countries to lead us since all we care about only is competence. As much as competence is important, so is getting everyone involved in your government that is the truth, you exclude people then you have no right to ask for their cooperation or support and that lies the success or failure of a government. Let Mr President source for the best hands that can do the job but let that searchlight beam in the entire regions of the country, it will be folly for anyone to argue the possibility of competent people coming only from one particular region or section of the country. |
HungerBAD:Nigga like seriously Dey deceive yourself you hear? |
Sorry we have stopped receiving CVs..... As for those that wrote in Abuja, soon you will get a message if you passed.... Thank you. |
Hi guyz, Hope those of you that got the online test invite have been able to write it.... The pass mark is 70%.... Good luck. |
It is insulting and an effort to hoodwink the unsuspecting public for anyone to infer that competent people can by chance only come from the regions where Mr President grouped as his 97% special people..... 2011 elections are not any different from the 2015 elections from the perspective of the Victor but Jonathan still did not deem it fit to be surreptitiously partisan and one-sided in his appointment. Only a politically naive newbie will make such a preposterous arguments that because competence is all that matters it does not matter if for some deliberate design the so-called competent people are coming only from allegedly favoured regions of the country. We are not stupid, Nigeria has got competent people brimming from every part of the country don't even try to imply that the reason Mr President's appointments have been largely lopsided is because he is choosing only competent people, that is a very shallow statement to make. Buhari obviously is not interested in an all inclusive government, his statements, body language and appointments are all pointers to this fact, nobody should be categorized into any group for voicing out their fears and observations especially when one considers how bigoted the man was when he first ruled this country as a military head of State with absolute powers. The article is pretentious and hypocritical, obviously Mr Kolawole just like Dele is aiming to be noticed as well. |
mikolo80:Nigga will you shut the hell up and stop acting like you are some god because you are a mere cadet....what exactly have you experienced in life? Running a few kilometers with a Dane gun qualifies you to be called a soldier? From the way you are mouthing off like a kid, it is obvious you are not even a cadet.. You will do yourself some good to keep quite and stop ranting off like an idiot.... Wait till you earn it before acting up. |
There is going to be another test for the Lagos region, it is done region by region. As for the failure delivery, we have stopped taking CV.... I posted this over a month ago.... Not my fault the mods did not consider it worthy enough to be put in the front page... As for those that were lucky enough, soon you will be called for the test but people that are will to work in the North have more chances of being selected. Thanks all. |
pheyikemi:there's no such thing as goose-pimples. |
dangervu:are you from the idiotic stock of the yahoo boiz scam |
dangervu:are you from the idiotic stock of the yahoo boiz scam |
dangervu:whoever posted this nonsense is a bona fide idiot that deserve the same fate as the dead idiot. |
From the goings-on it is obvious Buhari’s approach is to get terrorists with no collective purpose or structure to dialogue and negotiate with government. It shows how naive and very lacking in understanding of what terrorism is all about by the new government. It is unfortunate that this new government apparently makes decision without recourse to professional opinions but sentiments and religious bonding. From the latest actions of the government; removing military check points and road blocks, ordering the command structure to be sited in the middle of the war, changing the leadership of the secret service, dishing out over a trillion Naira as rescue package for irresponsible state governments to share, there is apparently a need for thus man to be stopped and told to select his cabinet before making any major decision, there is too much brawn than sense in his actions. Nigerians are already very disappointed, I am not disappointed because I have never believed in the man's abilities to understand the enormity of the problem but now I am beginning to be scared as the experimentation going on is at a very high cost that Nigerians can't stand. God help thus country with the curse we have brought upon ourselves as a country, this man is a grave error in comparison to the former. |
POLI-THINKING: Nigeria has not less than 50 thousand lawyers and not less than 4 thousand SAN's and none of these could expressly point to serious acts of illegality going on in the present administration. 1. Conflict between the principles of natural justice as provided for under section 36 (specifically subsection 1) and the Third Schedule, Part 1 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (1999), as amended,(section 153 subsection 18 and 19) which provides for the establishment and duties of the National Economic Council: (18)The National Economic Council shall comprise the following members - (a) the Vice-President who shall be the Chairman; (b) the Governor of each State of the Federation; and (c) the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria established under the Central Bank of Nigeria Decree 1991 or any enactment replacing that Decree. (19)The National Economic Council shall have power to advise the President concerning the economic affairs of the Federation, and in particular on measures necessary for the co-ordination of the economic planning efforts or economic programmes of the various Governments of the Federation. For the very first time since 1999, the question about whether or not the findings and opinions of the NEC will be fair, impartial and in unbiased is raised. Subsection (18): i.The Vice President who is also the Chairman of the Council is from APC. ii. We currently have 22 APC Governors who are members of this council, representing 22 of 36 states in Nigeria.(bearing in mind that PDP also has 13 and APGA 1 all duly represented). Therefore, if they are only to give opinions and recommendations to the Government on certain economic matters, there will be no much fuss about the composition. A further action to probe financial misappropriation and transaction of the past administration will automatically trigger the principles of natural justice, which consists of fairness, impartiality and rules against bias.Hence, it becomes arguable that any finding, recommendation and decision made by this Council in relation to matters of prob/investigation of officials in the past administration may be fiercely criticised on point of law. 2. Conflict between Party Directives and Constitutional Supremacy: The position of the party should not/cannot undermine the imprimatur of the grundnorm(1999 Constitution). The constitution in this regard is clear: section 1(3) states that "If any other law is inconsistent with the provisions of this Constitution, this Constitution shall prevail, and that other law shall, to the extent of the inconsistency, be void". A duly, legitimately and legally elected Senate President and Speaker of the House of Representatives cannot be challenged only on the basis of the mere fact that party directives were flaunted. 3. Federal Character Vs "Family" Arrangements: The provision of the Nigerian Law on Federal Character is clear! Section 14(3) states that "The composition of the Government of the Federation or any of its agencies and the conduct of its affairs shall be carried out in such a manner as to reflect the federal character of Nigeria and the need to promote national unity, and also to command national loyalty, thereby ensuring that there shall be no predominance of persons from a few State or from a few ethnic or other sectional groups in that Government or in any of its agencies". The current selection/appointment of officials by the present administration so far, does not reflect the constitutional provision of federal character. Conclusively, one may be at to point out the following; a. There are serious pot holes (not loopholes) in our constitution and serious (not haphazard) amendment is needed. b. The present administration needs to STRICTLY adhere to the rule of law and abide by entrenched democratic principles of governance. Not doing these will not only be bad for democracy, but also bad for governance.#TA |
Moana:some times when I hear ignorant arguments such as this I shudder at how gullible an average person is ..... A woman of 30 years suddenly turns gay and the likes of you interpreted it as being real to herself.... How about succumbing to what society has put I her head that it is OK for her to want to have a same sex relationship. Do you know how many weird cravings that go on in the human mind, if society say it is very much OK for everyone to do every damn thing that comes to their mind in the name of freedom or being real to oneself, you will be surprised that we would have family members who openly want to Bleep you just because you are his sister and he can excuse himself like these homosexual voltrons are doing..... That majority people are succumbing to it does not make them more enlightened or smart than those of us that do not agree to this aberration. |
As far as I am concerned, homosexuality will never be a normal way of life for any human being, that people are more tolerant in the West because of the coercive laws there and the LGBT militant pressure groups there don't make it right. Majority of the people that call themselves homosexuals today used to to be straight until society started conditioning them to what they have become. It is not even about whether my religion agrees with homosexuality or not, it's the fact that there is a deliberate effort and attempt by a select few to force their way of life on the majority through political pressure groups, inhumane laws and all sorts of preposterous arguments. Homosexuals today are a product of nurture as opposed to nature even though mainstream media like to downplay this fact and make it seem like majority of these homosexuals were born gay. I have continued to query the mendacity of the science that makes many of these LGBT supporters get corky and call those that do not support homosexuals ignorant. What makes you more enlightened than me? Is that you have facts to back up the arguments that humans can be born gay or there exists some gay genes that can turn people gay..... What exactly makes supporters more enlightened. Till this day I am yet to read any conclusive scientific research that make any categorical claims about gay genes or the naturality of homosexuality. Yet this LGBT groups are forcing their way outside of the West and even trying to arm twist African government's into accepting this aberration through their government in the name of freedom. What about the freedom of the majority of Africans that say no, this is not our way of life and we won't tolerate this here, how about respecting it. |
Commenting on NL is becoming less and less intellectual these days, most of the informed posters have stopped contributing because of the nature of discussions here are nothing but dirt poor mudslinging and no facts. Till this day, I am still doubtful of Buhari’s capacity to lead this country into the fictitious Eldorado promises he and his party made during their campaign. His statements since he became president has shown a man who is still in the euphoria of campaign and in opposition. All he does lately is give excuses, moan about Nigeria's problems, point accusing fingers and make exaggerating statements that are neither here nor there. I will like those of you trying to draw a difference to explain exactly what an empty treasury means, many seem to think it a different account that exclude ECA, foreign reserves, and all other accounts operated by FG. Treasury is an ambiguous word for all the accounts operated by FG. Mr President should not just throw words around and ride on the gullibility of many young twitter Nigerians who care nothing for facts here. The treasury is virtually empty yet the country has not gone under, you were able to release over $10 million dollars pledge for the fight against Bokoharam and so on..... Buhari's constant knack for excuses and lack of direction is beginning to get everyone worried, he obviously was not prepared from the on set, he has been struggling to even form a cabinet, most of the decisions he has been making lately obviously shows a man that is gripping in the dark and looking for excuses to explain his failures just in case it happens. Get to work and stop whining. |

Mgbadike80:can you stop deluding yourself with that trite argument of Lagos being no man's land. Fashola is not interested in you, that is why common sense should tell you to build in your home town first as that is an investment you can not lose as a result of one ill-tempered government deporting to that village you look with so much disdain. |
yemivictor:what is the chances of one losing their home in their village as opposed to the same happening in a far away city where one has no ancestral link. |
deflover:lol.... This guy sef |
GoodGovernance:please stop spewing nonsense, we are equally educated and understand very well the constitutional requirements and procedure. The CCB can not declare the content of submitted form publicly unless Buhari tells them to do. It is not the job of the CCB to declare anyone's asset publicly after verification. The CCB does not have any time frame or the fictitious 30 days claims for verification. The law States that the forms must be submitted 30 days after it has been issued. There is no part of the law that says one must wait for verification process before declaring their asset publicly if they wish to do so. Verification is not the concern of the person that submitted the form, it is up to the CCB to do that job, it does not stop Mr President from going further to declare his asset. I am tired of reading your nonsensical twist. The constitutional requirements are very easy to access, all you need to do is Google it..... Don't be claiming nonsense. |
GoodGovernance:can you stop this ignorant claims of 30 days verification process, which part of the Constitution talks about a 30 days verification process...... The law States that the asset declaration form must be submitted 30 days upon receipt. There is no defined time line for verification neither is it the job of the CCB to declare it public. Buhari will be the one to do so if he wants. Anyone that wishes to access the said document will have to wait until when the NA makes it accessible to the public. Don't twist and misrepresent the Constitution. There is no law that says he can't make his assets public after submitting the form to CCB..... Don't argue like a fool. |
Mykevp2p:we dey watch them as them dey try twist the facts: "1) A person elected to the office of President shall not begin to perform the functions of that office until he has declared his assets and liabilities as prescribed in this Constitution and he has taken and subscribed the Oath of Allegiance and the oath of office prescribed in the Seventh Schedule to this Constitution." Note where its said you can't perform your functions without declaring your assets. It means that since buhari has started to perform his functions as president,he has declared his assets. And he didn't do it publicly as promised. There is nothing like 30 days verification before its made public. |
lalasticlala:This is sophistry aimed at confusing and misrepresenting the facts, the CCB does not have any specified number of days or time to verify declared assets submitted in its forms, what the law States is that it must be submitted within 30 days of issuance to the public servant. It is crappy effort and intellectual dishonesty to say Mr President is waiting for some fictitious 30-day verification process before declaring his asset to the Nigerian public. Nigerians refused to be hoodwinked with legal mumbo-jumbo, we understand very well what declaring one's asset to the public means, that was exactly what Yaradua and his then VP Jonathan did.... Nobody is going to use sophistry to change that... We are not stupid. As far as the Constitution goes, there is no law forbidding Mr President from declaring his asset now to the Nigerian public, this is not a constitutional argument but one based on moral rectitude, one based on a personal promise Mr President made with the Nigerian people. |
you are a fool that should shut up when intelligent people are having a conversation. maxxx: |
