Let's assume Lagos is Nigeria, I think with 150k monthly, you are good to go as a single man/woman. It's a different issue entirely if you're married.
150k... Are you planning on living around Ajegunle ghetto in Lagos.

As a single man in Lagos, to be on 150k is not too good, cos you might not save anything reasonable. Except you want to be extremely managing.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: How Much Salary Is Enough For Good Living In Nigeria by Rich4god(m): 5:27pm On Jul 18, 2021
It depends on the state you are in... In Lagos, Abuja, PH and some high cost states, #500k is ok. Then in other low cost states, 250-300k is ok.

Pain is pain. We all have different threshold for pain. Just because the guy had more capacity to withstand pain doesn't nullify the pain that lady is feeling.

I have heard of a story of a young man who commited suicide because a lady broke his heart while there are some that brushes off rejection as nothing. Our capacity for pains differs.
Lol.... Immediately I read this, I knw it must come from a lady.

I remember when the Nigerian army established a base in shiroro village Niger state. The base came under attack by bandits 3 different times in two weeks and the army suffered some casualties. Next things was for the army to withdrew it's men and close down the base. On a normal, this withdrawal would be followed by a more tactical and organize force to go after the Bandits and root them out. But for where, that was how the army ran away and ceded defeat to the bandits.

If it were to be in South, the will attack the village and start burning houses of civilians.

Just as it happened in the thread above, where the Nigeria army laid siege to a village in Delta state after hoodlums killed some soldiers

Now that bandits have killed an army general in Abaji, will the Nigerian Army organize their men and lay siege on the village till the bandits are rooted out.

Or it's only in the south that such things can be done.

True... Everything is so high now. The "one mudu" of grounded plantain I usually buy at 1400 is now 2200...

The thing choke me.

Maize is 900 from 400 and cassava (rogo) is now 1000 from 500.

We don see finish for this country.

you know what to do? Start with easy tasks. Learn HTML and CSS. Then stop there first. Don't learn JavaScript yet or even dreamweaver. Just go straight to WordPress. Its very very very very very simple. Even a good toddler can pick it up.

From that, start forcing all those traders in alaba to open website. The moment you start earning from the little skills you have, nobody will ginger you to do more.

For where to start, just type on YouTube. "Traversy media HTML"

If you finish, type traversy media CSS.

Then polish it with w3schools.com

Mind you, you can download the entire w3schools.com on your laptop as a PDF. So you can always use it without data.
How can I download this w3school pdf.

On a side note, before I resumed work I was doing well. I learnt html and Drupal. Then Corel draw.

But right now, I want to learn QA testing. That's what I have been having difficulty starting.

I just don't knw, but personal development seem to be a big task for me. I can't seem to lay my hands properly on anything.

For some years I have been trying to learn some digital skills, but I can't get hold of it. Funny thing is, I have the lappy, the data and the personal space... But for where I still can't make a head way. Even days when I prepare to face it. I end up watching YouTube.

Too bad.

Just imagine what is coming out from the mouth of supposedly religion leader. But you will never hear them condem banditry and the evils of fulani herdsmen. Even Gumi who have mingled with bandits and seen the evil carnage they commit still opened his mouth and claim that bandits are the victims. VIctims of what exactly.

Well I only blame the men that leave their state and went to erect massive structure in another region.

This country eh... The disunity here is too much. And to think that this statement is coming from a cleric makes me wonder the type of people we have in Nigeria.

A man buys a land... (not that he got the land free or as a gift from the govt) He builds a choice of house on the land with his own money. Because of the insecurity we have in this country, the man erects a gate and place security guards to protect. How does that turn to oppression of the locals.

Can someone plz explain to me.

Look at the number of shares the post have gathered. A lot of innocent mind will now be angry at police officers for been brutal.

Whilst this is actually a false report.

Just take a look at this face book post made by channels TV this morning. Look at the caption.

The caption reads ..

Police man shoots at protesters.
Judging from the comments, everyone where angry with the police for shooting at unarmed protesters.

But that's not what happened.

What the police shot was actually tear gas.

How come channels TV didn't report it in full so as to douse tension.

But they choose to escalate things. Am not in support of media regulations, but things like this are the reason why gov will want to regulate it.

PoliticsRe: Greenfield University: We Payed ₦180 Million For The Release Of Our Children by Rich4god(m): 10:19am On May 30, 2021
I have a close source that told me that in addition to the money paid to the bandits, brand new machines were also provided for them. No if our security forces are truth to themselves, will it be difficult to apprehend these guys.
Am definitely sure the money was paid by cash.

Now was the money paid in batches or paid at once.

If it's paid in batches, how come our security couldn't in any way track these bandits during one of the payment.

If the money was paid at once, 180M is like 18 stacks of money. If all the money were in #1000 notes, each stack will contain ten steps of two bundles each. Now the implication is that the bandits will need a car to carry it or at least 3machine.

How did all these take place and the security forces didn't in any way pick intel to track and arrest these bandits.

It's either our security forces are grossly incompetent or there is a higher authority stoping them from arresting bandits. And that authority could most like come from the presidency.

Now let's compare this.
Just last week, bandits attacked a community and kidnap villagers in Niger state. Within 3 days the vigilante of the community went after the bandits and succeeded in rescuing the victims. How often or how swift have our security agencies rescued victims after they were kidnapped.

It's so so obvious there is a power in the presidency cabal protecting these bandits. Else another power would have overridden it and pressure our security to go after the bandits.

Those police are trying, they have upgrade .
Apart from the last 2 hit on their station they have been doing well. The issue now is that those UGM do come in packs of packs and sometimes do have the element of surprise
Element of surprise...?
That's what the are trained for. No criminal will come knocking before attacking. So they should expect the surprise.

With the current man power of our police, they can't successfully defend each station across the east. What I expect is from them to vacate every station and consolidate their man power in protecting the state HQ. Cos right now, the are spread so thin and can't effectively defend themselves. So instead of loosing more men in an already lost battle, they should consolidate and defend the HQ.

They burnt the police station because of the way people are been killed and kidnapped in their communities by bandits.

We need state police, is not compulsory the state police will be under the command of the state executive.
Seriously, state police and regional security is the way. If the soldiers and police guarding Zamfara state, Katsina state etc are indigenes of the state and employed by the state govt, there is no way they will allow rascal Fulani bandits to be killing them anyhow.

My heart seriously bleeds for the people of Benue. These attacks have been happening for long, yet the gov prefer to just talk than to provide arms to the citizens. This is no longer a joke. It's obvious our security forces are covering these guys up. I don't want to say that the security force can't face these guys, cos if the army can at least be proactive in the fight against Fulani herdsmen and bandits just as they are against UGM/IPOB, there will definitely be improvement in security. Just we all know that the govt is glaringly one sided

This is a time for the whole of Benue youths, irrespective of tribe to come together and defend Benue. The Igbos too shld be concerned abt the welfare of Benue cos if the Fulani succeed in overrunning Benue, they could use it as a launching pad to attack the east.

Let the youth arm and defend themselves. It's obvious the govt no longer cares.

@OP... If this video is eyewitness video of the plane crash that killed COAS, then it was actually two planes that collided and mayb those men the villagers spotted coming down with a parachute mayb from the other plan.

In the video, the villagers said two planes collided and they had to bring the wreckage of the other to this crash site. Probably, the second plane is a small plane that allowed it's pilot to eject with a parachute.

But am sure this is an old video, as the crash of yesterday happened with the vicinity of the airport.

Terrorism is the biggest business in Nigeria's north at the moment. @Arrewa has stated that several times. Soldiers, Nonprofits, politicans and religious leaders are the biggest beneficiaries of terrorism. They couldn't even account for the $1 billion they withdrew to prosecute the war....everyone is cashing out.

Nigeria can end this madness in 6 months if Buhari really wants to. Just get mercenaries (and reengage the US military if they are still willing to help). In fact, the US Army had to run away immediately they realized that Nigeria's military had been compromised; Nigeria was no longer safe for them.

As for Nigerian soldiers, they know themselves. They know those who are really committed to the war and the fifth columnists among them. Get the good ones to fight with the mercenaries. They will clear this madness in 6 months.

PS: According to the South African mercenary that fought in the twilight of the Jonathan adminstration, they trained Nigeria's soldiers, brought in their military hardware and took the war to the terrorists. However, Jonathan focused more on his campaigns than paying them, compelling the company to return to SA. When Buhari took over, he didn't indicate an interest in furthering the business relationship.
Nigeria matter tire person.

That's why we can't continue leaving like this. If this country can't break up. Let the security apparatus split along regions. Let all region fund and handle their security issues.

Am sure if the soldiers in the south are been handled by the region's there, all these too much protection on fulanis won't be there at all.

It's so annoying.. Imagine sending our officers to face Boko haram while their superiors would soon double cross them ...

The other day, the air force claimed they mistook the army for Boko haram and bomb them. How?
It's glaring even in the eyes of toddlers that top govt officials and senior military officers have a hand in all that is happening. My friend in the army told me one thing, that most time when there are operation against boko haram by just Mobile policemen, that they usually record more success than when soldiers are involved.

This means that there are so many terrorists in our army than in our policemen

My annoyance is even with the foot soldiers... Who, despite all the hardship and risks that they pass through in the hands of the senior officers, they still obey orders and head into the war zone.

The moment Gen Adeniyi was removed from the fight against BH after his outburst of been provided with misleading intelligence, I know something was seriously wrong with the army.

Even the chaplains in the army, despite seeing all the ills going on there, they still kept quiet.
