Reading this report, something struck me, though I might be wrong. But why is all the loans concentrated mainly on the oil and gas sector. What happened to the agricultural sector of the economy. The banks shld be and the forefront of sponsoring agricultural programs, but for where.... In Naija, all they want is quick money.

I quite disagree with you on the attachment you made. If the north tries that, it's like slapping your cheek very hard while trying to kill a mosquito. The north will end up getting poorer on the long run.
Fact is, more than 50% of the farm produce from the north ends up in the south, and 20% out of the remaining 50% that is left in the north are being consumed by southerners residing in the north.
I can remember last year during the scarcity of tomatoes, some nairalanders were importing tomatoes from Cameron. And am sure Cameroon will be willing to sell their produce to us since we have the money.

So, that decision by the north will only boomerang on them.

Check my post, am not talking abt been hostile to strangers. Am talking abt the average security of the state. When you out in place, armed robbery, kidnapping and other vices. It's cos of the relative security in the state that's why it's has a large number of foreigners. Even zamfara and Sokoto that tend to be governed by Sharia law still have a large number of non indigene and they leave of well.

I know very well that in the East, no one comes out to start looking for a stranger to kill as the north does in the name of religion, but an average human being is more safe in the north than south, even when you remove Boko Haram and militancy from both region.
