freeman67: Same thing we said here when it was N360 and it has now crossed N1,000. Yet, they seem to be no end in sight.
Everybody can hoard or invest in Dollar. In fact majority of the populace don't even have enough to feed let alone save and hoard in Dollar. So the people you are trying to advice are knowledgeable about it. I know the new economic team have not started implementating their plans but once they do and it's shows any sign of effectiveness, everyone hoarding knows what to do. Comment of the day, Wiseman!!!! |

Digitron: How will this lifting of ban improve our FX? This will never improve FX and they know it, the fact that Euro Bond and Foreign Curreny Bond are on the list a dead giveaway that the policy is not to improve FX, the Ban was introduced to try and stimulate local production, it's aim was stop importation of these products so that Entrepreneurs in Nigeria will see it as an opportunity to invest and start producing locally to meet demand, however we were not able to meet the demand locally which led to the increase in even Nigerian made goods because the supply was limited I believe the Policy is aimed at flooding the market with Supply and maybe reduce the cost of these goods but Forex will definitely continue to slide until it reaches it's balance level |

Foodempire: That's exactly what I did with the last SUKUK, now I can rest without thinking about where the next school fees will come from for the next 10 years, I even upgraded their school to a better one. Looking forward to the next SUKUK to create monthly salary for myself cos I can't hustle like before, I just want a steady passive income and investing in stocks will increase my BP. Good afternoon, what rates does this SUKUK give, does the interest come monthly and what is the risk? |

Itsrm: Okay. I was under the impression that one of their selling points is that they don't charge transfer fees. They charge transfer fee but they are very low, these App are fast you receive transfers in seconds and your payment are processed almost immediately as there are hardly downtimes, Opay will even inform you when a bank server is down and advise you not to transfer at that time, it is very user friendly and gives a lot Cashback, They also have an attractive fixed deposit rates I believe most people with little capital use them especially the young Nigerians, but the people with large capital will use them for daily transfers but still stick to the traditional banks and Investment Houses for investments, the industry is still young and more adoption will surely take place |

lalalista: it's a microfinance bank that's insured by ndic. What's wrong with a microfinance bank? NDIC will give you 500,000 if the bank goes bust, Microfinance Banks are a lot more riskier, If the money is huge you are better investing with a SEC regulated firm |

Quiteparrot: Hello house, please for someone that starch it all digitally, how is the best way to write a will? My entire funds are locked up via mutual funds, treasury bills, bonds. My wife asked me one day, if you are gone how do we access your funds?
She has my card pin, account numbers, POD signed in her name but all funds are locked up digitally, at least someone has to sign out the money from my investment portfolios before she can gain access. What do I do to make my wife access my funds effortlessly when I'm gone ? Thanks You try to be given your wife all this access to your finance, I can never trust another human being like that, especially after she asked me such a question (if you are gone how do we access your funds?), If you give her access to everything and it is a substantial sum, she may have no use for you. I prefer to have a will that will share my assets when I am gone, but while I am alive, I will control everything |

We should not be looking to manufacutre everything, I feel it is the wrong way to look at it, we should look at what we are good at and produce it so efficiently that we can generate enough dollars to cover imports
For example we refine enough petroleum and sell or produce coffee from cocoa and sell
We should not be jack of all trades and master of none |

I never made any statement pertaining to importation being bad, I only said they are the biggest importers and also the biggest exports and their exports are way higher than their imports, you can scroll up and quote the right the person |

VeeVeeMyLuv: the biggest importers in the world are USA and China, and they are also the biggest economy
These current handlers at the helm, don't just care! They don't give a f*** You forgot to mention who the biggest exporters are to These countries you mentioned are the biggest importer but are also the biggest exported and their export are way higher than what they import |

pizapato: Expect a little twist by September ending or Oct/Nov, they might pump out some USD to crash the rate and ensure speculators get their hands burnt.
Whoever is playing the long game really have nothing to worry about though. We have been speaking about this Dollar issue since it was at N300 It will continue to rise as long as we are a consuming nation and the way I see it, people are still willing to bid at even N1,400 to a Dollar They say the exchange rate was unified yet the IE window is trading at 750 while black market has almost entered 900 I have converted all my earnings to Dollar,I'll rather invest in the S&P 500 than to deal with this deception of a country |
