Good evening

My Toyota Camry 2007 popped the following code

Code: P2017

Mt symptoms were

Poor Acceleration
Stalling
Engine Vibration while idle
Diminished engine performance

On further investigation, I realized that the problem is from the Intake Manifold Runner Valve Controller
I learnt that the Intake Manifold Valve Controller controls the opening and closing of the valves, however, the position sensor which detects if the valves are open or closed seems to have a short circuit so it cannot perform its functions properly, therefore the valves are perpetually open

I have watched videos were the Intake Manifold Runner Valve Controller was replaced on a Dodge on youtube, however, I have not seen one done for a Toyota Camry hence my question, can I replace the Intake Manifold Runner Valve Controller on a Toyota or I have to replace the whole Intake Manifold Runner Valve Assemble

I have attached pictures for a clearer view

Your reply is highly anticipated

Story.

I have removed it in one of my vehicles. Fuel economy has improved, gained 1mpg. Engine is not overheating and the vehicle is not experiencing any loss of power. The only thing I agree with is a louder exhaust note but who cares?

I even prefer the new exhaust note especially on startup
the catalyst main job is to improve the quality of air coming out of the exhaust, don't mind that guy

Good morning Wonderful Gurus in the house

I made a complaint initially about my car having multiple transmission codes and was still driving fine which surprised Gazzuzz, I later found out that my car used a Hybrid Engine which was changed to a normal 2.4l engine, however that is a story for another day

My question is that my car has been idling roughly and hesitation, I scanned the car and found the culprit, the Upstream and Downstream Oxygen Sensor Heater circuit was blown, after some research, I found out that the function of the Upstream oxygen sensor is to communicate with the ECM on the Air-Fuel ratio, while the downstream Sensor check the gases that come out of the Catalytic Converter to ensure it is working fine

I have changed the Upstream oxygen sensor and everything seems back to normal, however, I want to ask if it is mandatory I also change the Downstream Oxygen Sensor?

My Car is a Toyota Camry 2007

Codes
P0031 - HO2S Heater Control Circuit Low (Bank 1, Sensor 1)
P0037 - H02S2 Heater Control Circuit Low (Bank 1, Sensor 2)

Chief, Risevest is registered, I checked them up previously, but I used the wrong code

They may not be the best, but they are doing a good job and very transparent in their dealing

Please use a Non-biased mind to judge them, you can join their telegram group and monitor them while asking relevant questions

I looked them up and their site says they are registered with the US SEC as they deal in US securities. I haven’t verified this on the US SEC’s website o but their registration number is on their site.

It also says that they have a Lagos State Co-operative license and that under this license Lagos State government audits their operations. Again, I haven’t verified this o but the license number is on their site.

To be very frank, there are two issues that I have with them.

1. These returns they are offering are clearly unrealistic. The best US fund managers are not making returns anywhere near these. Especially for fixed income and real estate. It is clearly high risk.

2. Looking at the guys behind it, I’m not convinced that they have the experience to handle retail funds. These are just some young chaps with little/no experience in investing huge sums of money. That’s a red flag.

While I have my reservations, you just never know. They may end up doing very well...
I, however, took the time to look them up SEC website, the below screenshot is what I found

These are their real official rates

Eurobond:10–12% Guaranteed low risk investment
US Real estate: 13–15% Mid risk investment (not capped) last year recorded 17%
US Stocks: 12–14% High risk investment (not capped) last year recorded 23%

Almost 90% of the Fintechs Springing up now are owned by Young Chaps, as against the Old Chaps who are basically running Brick and Mortar Banks

Can you verify the US SEC and Lagos State Co-operative license?

I make some investigation into the Eurobonds and Real Estate

A supposed fund manager with numerous funds in money market, REIT, Eurobond, fixed income can't have just one Trustee. Each fund will have different Trustees. Depending on size of the fund, you can even have 2 Trustees. United Capital Trustee and FBN Quest Trustee are the Trustees to the Real Estate Investment Trust of UPDC, where rental income of almost N2.5 billion is distributed among 2000 investors every year, property and liquid cash worth N30 billion are honestly managed with the supervision of SEC for the investors

Anybody can open a trust account with a Trustee to ensure your children, family, you, business partners are not cheated or they cheat you, that doesn't make the arrangement SEC compliant.
Good morning and thanks for that eye-opener, I REALLY appreciate

I think they are leveraging on the Trustees of ARM Holding Limited and all other resources and processes they take

Please note that their 3 offerings are

Fixed Income (Dollar): 12 months at 12%
Real Estate (Dollar): 12 months at 17%
Stock (Dollar): High risk, returned 27% last year

Please note that account transfers are received with Providus Bank

This is simple English comprehension.

I listed their company names, the names of their subsidiaries and names of their different Investment products.

SEC is not aware of any of them and the products.

Apart from registering with SEC as a fund manager, your investement products must be registered and regulated by SEC. SEC denied knowledge of all these.

Please be guided.

If possible share the names of their trustees and fund managers, so that I can also confirm their status and roles in the Investments
Kindly check my reply. I mentioned ARM Holdings

Good evening, thanks for sharing the result

However, I will like to inform you that RISE is not directly registered with SEC, but have trustees who do

This is the same route that companies like piggyve.s.t, Cowr.y.rise and most Fintech takes

ARM Holdings Limited monitors and maintains our investments for them, I think you should be making enquiries from them

NB: They never claimed they are directly registered with SEC

For busy risk averse people that would rather focus on their jobs and real life hustle, the money market/fixed income market is just more straightforward and can be done by anyone. Simply put your money in Tbills, bonds, etc and continue your hustle.

Unfortunately, the rates don crash so risk averse people must enter equities market to get better returns. But these returns come at the expense of one’s time and high stress levels. The manipulations at some companies and those by the speculators and big boys is enough to give man pikin heart attack. Is it worth it?

Personally, for equities (my preference is foreign equities sha), I think investing indirectly through solid mutual funds and letting the fund managers deal with all the wahala of diversification, monitoring and rebalancing is more efficient for busy folks. I will gladly pay the management fees and avoid dealing with all the wahala.

My opinion...
This is exactly what I am doing with the Rise Platform

This matter pass fluid own. Don't bother with fluids. This codes are impossible, you have almost every possible transmission fault illuminated
However I am not experiencing any transmission malfunction, it shifts properly, the reverse gear also works perfectly, my mechanic advised I service the transmission

I also did a look up on most of the codes and most of them say an oil and oil filter change will solve the issue

Thanks for your help

Good afternoon I cleared the codes and scanned again, the engine misfires have been resolved by changing the ignition coil for cylinder 2,

However it seems there are lot of transmission code, which I feel a transmission service will solve, however, I want to be very cautious with this as I am aware that a transmission flush may damage the transmission, what do you suggest the approach should be

P0037 - H02S2 Heater Control Circuit Low (Bank 1, Sensor 2)

Hello Gazzuzz and other Gurus in the house

The other day I complained of how a kazeem serviced my car and the engine refused to start

Another mechanic came and checked the car, he changed the coil and sealed the intake manifold with gum, it now moves now, albeit not very efficient as I know it still needs some work to be done, and I think I need a professional that will fix all the issues for me

I scanned the car and it brought out the following errors

P0302 - Cylinder 2 Misfire Detected
P0031 - HO2S Heater Control Circuit Low (Bank 1, Sensor 1)
P0037 - H02S2 Heater Control Circuit Low (Bank 1, Sensor 2)

Hello GAZZUZZ,

Thanks for your recommendation the other day,

I finally changed my engine oil and spark plus, it was done by a Kazeem

However, after he made the change, the car has not been the same, it refuses to start most of the time, even when it starts, it moves a few centimetres and stops and does not accelerate properly most of the time, I am so furious with this Kazeem because I just bought the car and have been using it for weeks without any single problems until he came to change the spark plugs and oil, I called him immediately and when he came, he was asking for 5000 to change the fuel pump, I had to order him out of my compound, I am looking to go DIY for now

Please what do you think the problem is

Maybe he didn't change the Spark Plug properly (please consider the fact that the car was working properly before the fool came to change the spark plugs) or the fuel pump is actually bad, where do I start this investigation from

Your suggestion will be appreciated

If you do not have the engines oil change history. Safest thing to do is 20w50 . Total quarts 5000 is a good brand. 2000miles is safe oil drain interval for that oil type
Thanks for your response, please attached is the image of the oil you are recommending, will buying just one 4L be enough or do I have to buy two?

It is a Toyota 2.7-liter engine, someone recommended I use Total Quartz 5000

Here is some more info I found about the engine

Engine oil capacity, liter 5.8 (6.1 qt)
Oil change interval, mile 6,000 (10,000 km) or 12 month
