Politics › Re: Anti-people Policies’: PDP Envious Of Tinubu’s Achievements In 3 Weeks — Preside by richidinho(m): 9:42pm On Jun 28, 2023 |
Cantonese: Yeye dey smell!
In three weeks, subsidy removed with no options. In three weeks cost of petrol rose 300%. In three weeks cost of transportation increased. In three weeks Naira was floated affecting the cost of goods. In three weeks Nigerians have started trekking longer distances. Electricity tarrifs to go up following the actions of three weeks. Telecoms companies have promised higher tarrifs as a result of the actions of three weeks. Within three weeks we have been told that 75 million Nigerians are in poverty and potentially 102 million will be in poverty soon. In three weeks most families could not afford Salah day celebration. In three weeks Nigerians once again have been told to suffer today and enjoy tomorrow. That was the same story Buhari gave in 2015, repeated in 2019 and ended inflicting heavy misery and poverty on the people.
Now we know that Nigerians are in for a long ride. This scorecard shows that the govt is against the people, satanic policies |

nairalanda1: GEJ should have been bold enough to tell tinubu, buhari and company to go and rest, and removed the subsidy completely.
He didn't, and in fairness, all his predecessors were the same. Even Abacha did not remove subsidy. Abacha did not remove subsidy because he had one of the best brain as his finance and economy minister then, he didn't increase fuel price during his time and also the exchange rate was stable, he didn't borrow a dime, in fact his govt suffered several economic sanctions from the west, yet you can still point to 2or 3 major infrastructures built by the supposed corrupt man Subsidy is and will never be our problem, countries pays subsidy and will continue to pay for its citizens As long as the govt officials are still living expensive lifestyle, we will continue to borrow to pay for their lavish and expensive luxury life in the expense of the poor citizens But we are not ready as citizens because what they do is to set us up with religion and ethnicity and the rest is history Imagine borrowing $100m from the world bank, same amount of money is being used to pay for entertainment and newspaper allowances of senators and ministers Why not do the needful by asking them to also sacrifice |
