Are u serious this thing work?.. Most of the people dropping contact here are guys, just wondering why dey couldn't find any lady out dere aside nairaland... My tot dou

Because some of us are shy. Because some of us just feel comfortable getting to know someone's personality than just beauty. Some of us just want a little bit of surprise and randomness. Some of us just want a different experience.

Example, If I want to meet, I will want to go after the one with beauty. in a way, I already knew what I wanted. Whereas, if I meet a random babe here, I might just be surprised about her personality.

that's the whole thrill of it. I hope you understand?

ONLINE VIDEO IS NOT THE BEST FOR BEGINERS WHO SEEK GREAT CAREAR IN PROGRAMMING.

Am going to make this short. If your are just starting coding you need to be well granded in the programing language you are learning. These are few topics most beginers most learn and be granded well with.

Syntax
Variables
Operators
Array
Object
Loops
Conditionals
Functions
Classes

All this cant be best learnt in a video but in a good book and a hardcopy as we were adviced on this trend two days ago.

With all due respect, I beg to differ with this. For someone like me, whenever I look at texts for a long time, the words begin to mumble up in my head and eyes. This also affected my grades in my first degree.

I'm running my second degree now, and I don't even touch textbooks until when necessary. And my grades are higher than I thought it'll ever be because I've made YouTube videos my go-to. I'm also applying this for programming.

I only use the ebooks to know the topics and get familiar but whenever I need thorough explanation, I refer to YouTube videos and I grasp the stuff instantly. There are so many other people who are like me too who would look at programming books and concluded it's hard, whereas that's not the case. I advise they turn YouTube for their teaching

While that has been said, I'm glad I stumbled on this thread. It was very motivating. I just started programming and everytime I regret I didn't start sooner like 2, 3 years ago. But when I read your story (and the other guy's), that feeling of regret left me. It truly is never too late. Thank you.

Anyways, from the look of things, it seems like you're more of a web programmer than a software programmer. Well, that's good. I want to venture into software programming and probably as a back end developer later on.

I have started with C++ and I hope to transcend into Java, Python, JavaScript and SQL in that particular order.

People say C++ is not a beginner friendly language because because it's verbose and complex. I agree with them; if you want to start programming as a beginner, please start with Python. Not even java.

All in all, I'm thankful for this tread. You're doing a wonderful job, bruh. Keep it up.

Politics / Re: APC Hate Igbos In Lagos - Jimi Agbaje Of The PDP by richie9093(m): 9:04pm On Dec 12, 2018
kotv:

Was that what Agbaje was addressing? If that's what you read from what he said then you prove his statement accurate. What he stated was that APC supporters, especially those of Yoruba origin, whom uses ethnic fighting, ethnic hatred especially towards Igbos as their political platform and ways to campaign. This is indeed an accurate statement and truth. Informing Agbaje not to mention it or shame him from speaking the truth is itself deceptive.

Yes, the Igbos have reported more than once harassment of their shops and their properties, closing of their shops without compensation by Lagos government especially ever since APC took over on this website. We've all seen the numerous topic created by them on that aspect as well as the mocking from Yorubas about it. People are not blind on this website. I don't know why you people believe people aren't aware of what's occurring in your side especially since both yoruba and the Igbos embarrasses and exposes eachother on daily basis on this website. It's ignorant to believe everyone cannot read.

The comparison to River State and Delta State is iggrecious. I don't know where you get the misconception there aren't Igbos who hold electorial position or contesting for a electorial position in River State or Delta State. There are Igbos whose origins is River State and Delta State so why wouldn't there be Igbos who holds titles or running for a position in either state? I'm from River State and I know there are several elected politicians in River State that are of Igbo origin and there are still Igbos running for position. I don't know why you people have this misconception that everyone follows an ethnic politics just because Yorubas does it. In River State, nobody highlights what ethnicity a politician running for a post is because it's irrelevant. In SW, especially ever since APC arrived, that appears to be the number one factor and tribalism is their campaign so shaming Agbaje from stating that accuracy is indeed wrong.

I knew your sentiments will make you oblivious to the points of my reply so I highlight them out for you here.

1) Agbaje is running against Sanwo-olu in Lagos State. Sanwo has never for once whipped up tribal sentiments. He has never disregarded Igbo people. if you say Agbaje was referring to 2015, Sanwo-olu didn't campaign in 2015, so how can you blame Sanwo for that? if Na Ambode JK dey run against now, you for get talk.

2) Where did Igbos ever report that they faced harassment in Lagos only because they were Igbo? where? Bring links of news reporting this otherwise you're a stone faced liar. If you want to talk about where shops were demolished to make way for road construction, Igbos alone weren't the victim. Never were there the sole victim.

3) Let me make it clear to you, where in any states of the South South that an Igbo man came from Abia, Anambra, Enugu etc to hold political posts? Where? After all, There are sizeable amount of Igbos in that region too.

Truth is, if any Igbo want to run for office in Lagos, it's a privilege and not a right. Never a right. You are even talking as if if a Yoruba man wants to run for office in Ebonyi, Igbo people would agree.

Abeg, commot for here joor with your victim mentality! You talk of ethnic hatred like that same hatred isn't embedded in Igbo people too.

A very close friend of mine, liberal person, just came back from Orlu in Imo state for some work. He never believed how Igbo people in that community treated him because he wasn't an indegene, yet alone Igbo. But you are here trying to paint Igbo people as saints with no hint of ethnic bias and prejudice in their blood. Mtschew!

If you want the truth here it is. ignore it if you want. I'm done squabbling with you.

Hiding the truth is also a wrong. In this case, advising Agbaje not to say what's clearly the truth is also not a right

And what exactly is the truth please? Are Igbos having their shops locked up in Lagos?

Are Igbos being refused land to build houses in Lagos? Are Igbos being refused apartment to be rented in Lagos?

Are Igbos having their goods seized unlawfully in Lagos?

What is this truth you speak of that all of us don't know?

Lagos is a yoruba state located in the Southwest, it is only right for Yoruba people to contest for power in it. Is your truth contrary to this?

Rivers State is almost culturally diverse as Lagos and filled with Igbos. how many Igbos are contesting for public offices there?

Igbos have a sizeable amount of people in Delta state, how many Igbos are elected there?

Then what is it about It Igbo people wanting to run for public offices in Lagos.

Again, I ask you: What is exactly is this truth you speak of?

APC when you have nothing to offer, you play the card of ethnic sentiment on the mind of the ignorants!!!

Why not lay emphasis on what a whole royal father of Lagos said

Anyways we ALL know that aside rigging APC cannot win any election irrespective of these their dirty games!

That was wrong then and this is wrong now. When Akiolu said that he received a lot of backlash, most especially from Yorubas.

2 wrongs don't make a right.

Check YouTube videos, bruh. They are video tutorials you can watch. They sizes of some are large but they are totally worth it. There are also shorter tutorial videos (of any languages you want to learn).

I'm currently learning C++ through YouTube videos, and I must tell you it's very articulate.

Go to computer village and tell them you need magic chips for iPhone. Also tell them the range of phones you want to use them on.

some can support as far as iPhone 7 while some support up to the latest which is XS Max.

And when you buy it at Computer Village, test it there before you leave. very important.

I know what a chip is, I actually sold one of the phones with one. But chip unlocked phones are sold cheaper and are in fact harder to sell than factory unlocked ones

They aren't really cheaper to sell. it's the way you choose to market and package the products.

I know people who are selling iPhone XS for ₦450k even with the chip and not factory unlocked. All you just need to do is give people assurance and package it better.

You can even throw some half truths in and tell them sometimes the factory unlocked phones choose Sims to work on (which is true in itself) but with the chip, it's flexible.

Baba, Na business you dey do oo. Package you business well. Don't just be dishonest in your dealings (I mean don't swerve or scam people and be open to giving warranties).

I had a mild loss this year
I imported some iPhones earlier this year to reselll but mumu me did not do due diligence on their unlock status. I ended up buying 3 locked phones spent like 60k+ to unlock 2 of them. I sold the last one like that. All in all, I made loss of around 20k and that’s because I bought very cheap if not, I for hear am. But I understand that was a learning curve. Hopefully, I won’t make that kind of mistake again

Instead of going for the software unlock, you could have just bought a chip to be using on the iPhones.

a chip costs just ₦5,000 in computer village. and even cheaper sef if you buy in bulk (total cost would be spread to about ₦3k5 to ₦4k)

Anyhow sha, I'm sure you didn't know about that. We learn everyday

I have attached what a SIM chip looks like.

Where in my write up did i insinuate 'no solution can be made' Mr. Mind Reader? You're just jumping to conclusions in order to sound pseudo-intelligent. So giving the meaning of the name ojuelegba is now being superstituous? Why not proffer your solutions, Albert Einstein?

The last line in your previous comment already gave out what you were insinuating. It's not rocket science and you don't need a mind reader to figure that out.

You asked for my solution? It's simple.

1) Create a trailer park where trailers will be parked instead of being parked on the road.

2) The government has banned trucks from using that Ojuelegba bridge but they don't listen. That ban should be enforced and anybody who is caught will pay a hefty fine.

3) After enforcing the ban, create a barrier and the entry and exit of the bridge at both point to maybe 4 metres high. Any vehicle that is higher than 4 metres should use the road or take an alternative route.

Those are my solutions in 3 easy steps that can be done in less than a month. Instead of resigning to the fact that the name "Ojuelegba" is haunting the place.

Ojuelegba... Ojude Elegbara.

(Translation) The spot of Eshu Elegbara.

What do you expect? Coincidence? Something is definitely wrong.

Instead of thinking about what other solutions might be so this will be avoided in the future, you're here already attaching a superstitious belief to it.

That is how an average Nigerian thinks. You bringing superstition into it means in your mind, you have already concluded no solution can be made so this won't happen in the future again.

Just thought I should share this here since we also have people on this forum urging people to go for more cryptos.

JPMorgan's Dimon says bitcoin 'is a fraud'

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Bitcoin "is a fraud" and will blow up, Jamie Dimon, chief executive of JPMorgan Chase & Co (N:JPM), said on Tuesday.

Speaking at a bank investor conference in New York, Dimon said, "The currency isn't going to work. You can't have a business where people can invent a currency out of thin air and think that people who are buying it are really smart."

Dimon said that if any JPMorgan traders were trading the crypto-currency, "I would fire them in a second, for two reasons: It is against our rules and they are stupid, and both are dangerous."

Dimon's comments come as the bitcoin, a virtual currency not backed by any government, has more than quadrupled in value since December to more than $4,100.

Bitcoin is a digital currency that enables individuals to transfer value to each other and pay for goods and services bypassing banks and the mainstream financial system.

While banks have largely steered clear of bitcoin since it emerged following the financial crisis, the virtual currency has a range of people who support it, including technology enthusiasts, liberterians skeptical of government monetary policy and speculators attracted by its price swings.

"Like it or not, people want exposure to bitcoin," Edward Tilly, chairman and CEO of exchange group CBOE Holdings Inc . (O:CBOE), said at the same conference.

CBOE has applied with U.S. regulators to launch a bitcoin futures contract and a bitcoin exchange traded fund on its venues.

Any good trade is started with a difference of opinion, Tilly added. "So Jamie can be on the short side and the issuers and those trading in physical can be on the long side, and it sounds like we have a great trade.”

Dimon may also be on the other side of another bitcoin trade closer to home.

At another conference about two hours later, Dimon said that one of his daughters had bought some bitcoin.

"It went up and she thinks she's a genius now," Dimon said at the CNBC Institutional Investor Delivering Alpha Conference.
