Some stocks in strong uptrend. Strong up trends present less risky opportunity. But, the problem is that you may not experience big gains immediately. On many occasions I have got into equities that seem to be trending, but had to exit in a short period as I was hit by nearly 10% loss within 2 weeks. But, don't worry, I will not recommend a stock that can reverse so fast. Today i will give one, it is for the long term.

You can expect more. PRESCO is it for today. Removing ban on 41 items will not affect a stock like this. Then, the hidden secret again!!!, if the equity reduces in price, there are foreign funds that will pick up the shares (I stop here for now). The price is at a good buying point. However, maximum stop loss to be NGN39.00 as this is a medium term play.

You better put disclaimer before someone comes to attack you in 2 days time for "misleading" them.

I don't know why people are so angry these days, shey Buhari don finally show face? It's not only on this forum, even on Twitter too.

This week alone there has been 2-3 frays on this forum. Over wetin? Because person talk him mind? Isn't that why we are all on this forum, to speak our minds?

If any newbie comes here to pick predictions/suggestions without doing his due diligence and he gets burnt, that clearly is his own fault. If he wants to be a real investor, he'll learn from his mistake and do his due diligence next time. Otherwise he should keep off the stock market if he's too lazy to do his own research.

Even in sport betting, you don't go to those sites that predicts scores to pick games without doing your own forecast. This is akin to stock trading too.

Abeg, make una dey calm down oo. If person drop forecast for here, you go buy the stock without DD and you get burnt, you should hit your head on the wall 5 times instead of coming here to castigate people.

Have a nice day.

Worth checking out

Favourite series: Billions
(The series is loosely based on the activities of crusading federal prosecutor of financial crimes and his legal battles with a billionaire hedge fund manager)

Favourite Trading Movies:
1) Trading Places
(It tells the story of an upper-class commodities broker and a homeless street hustler whose lives cross paths when they are unknowingly made part of an elaborate bet.)

2 Big Short
(based on the 2010 book The Big Short: Inside the Doomsday Machine by Michael Lewis about the financial crisis of 2007–2008 which was triggered by the United States housing bubble)

3) Margin Call
(The story takes place over a 36-hour period at a large Wall Street investment bank and highlights the initial stages of the financial crisis of 2007–08)

Billions is a maaad series. Anybody wanting to watch it has to start from season 1; season 2 is coming to an end next week. I have learnt new terms in stock trading and how they go for/against traders.

For example, if you had bought shares of Mobil when NIPCO was about to buy 60% of its stake knowing that the stock price will increase after the deal; this is called Arbitrage. Same applies for when Dangote was about to buy TigerBrand.

There is also an episode in season 2 where these guys short the Naira.

Big Short is also a very insightful movie. I just laugh at the people on this forum when they say NSE is the most evil market in the world. Only if you know what kind of Juju happens in NYSE and NASDAQ.

I also recommend Too Big To Fail (a documentary by HBO about 2008 financial crisis -- highly recommended) and Wall Street: Money never sleeps. I highly recommend these two movies. You could add Wolf Of Wall Street too.

If you don't know where to download them, I could give you links.

Like they say, all work and no play makes Jack a dull. Take time to relax and watch these motion pictures to have an idea of how things are in other markets, you'll really really enjoy them.

Good day, brothers.

ziddy:

The Benin lineage fizzled out late in the 18th century with the ascension to the throne of Ologun Kutere through his mother, Erelu Kuti. His father was an Ijesha man.

Akiolu and all the other princes of Eko draw their genealogical roots from the aborigines of Ijesha-land. They have zero genetic connection to Benin, though the original modes of dressing/paraphernalia subsist.

I know this. However it was in the 19th century, not 18th; 1840s to be precise.

I'm beginning to think people misconstrued my original post. My original post was to the Bini people saying Akiolu is answerable to the Oba of Benin rather than the Ooni forgetting that the Oba of Lagos --and the throne-- is Yoruba.

Too bad.

I think the most shocking thing in this matter is all those Benin boys on Twitter saying the Oba of Lagos isn't answerable to Ooni but to the oba of Benin instead and so Akiolu that was the reason why Akiolu acted that way.

Everything still looks like Greek to me . Been reading" trading for a living " not done yet. Hope to catch up fast.
But pls what's the meaning of Dma.

200dma = 200 Days Moving Average. To put it in "simple terms": is the average price that particular stock has closed for the past 200 days.

Most analysts believe that, the larger the days (sample size) the larger the amount of error and vice versa.

Large (for want of a better word) number of days like 200, 300, 500 etc are useful for long term investors than short term traders (what we call JIJO over here)

lolzz. I cant believe that this is coming from you. What you stated in ur write up is not the solution.
Carrots have been given to Isis, it is time to bring out stick. I believe that any individual who has the intention of changing his/her idealogy must have done so when people are extending carrots to him. right now, bombing is the only available solution.

The U.S have been bombing the Radicals in 2003 (14 years ago) and anytime they think they've defeated one, another one comes from nowhere to take over. From Taliban to Al Qaeda to Al Nasri to ISIS. Obviously bombing isn't working.

You can't believe because somebody changed his ideology to radicalism means he'll change back to being moderate. No! Things aren't done like that.

All these political correctness will only create more harm than good. Let us pull this bull by the horns. Bombing is not the way, it's not the solution.

The solution is what I stated in the text your quoted. That the way forward. For all of us, regardless of religion and race, to come out and fight this thing and call it was it is.

no body seem so be interested in helping out, i will just stick to my FX

Sorry, bruh. People have probably been too distracted because of how busy the market has been this past week.

In my own little way, I'll help you get started. Here are some basic terms to give you an idea of what Stock Trading is

Thunderlicious:

The bid price is the highest price a buyer is willing to purchase the stock while the offer price is the lowest price a seller is willing to sell the stock. this is different from bid and offer quantities (which you hear people asking for in this forum). bid quantity is the number of shares for which a buy order is waiting while offer quantity is the number of shares for which a sell order is waiting to be filled. yes, the bid/offer prices are quoted in naira.

Thunderlicious:

No, 2.1 million was the total offer quantity for Access as at the time of my post. You can buy as little as 1 unit of any stock. Access closing price for today is N5.58 per share. I advise you to go and read about stock investing before you commit your hard earned money to it. use google and youtube to find information on stock trading. if you have time, you may read through pages of this thread.

You can start from here...
http://www.make-money-stock-value-investing.com/beginners-guide-to-investing-1.html
http://www.investopedia.com/university/stocks

Intendy:

in simple term
stocks hitting new 52 weeks low implies increased/intensity selling pressure on this stocks.investors may be sensing bad news and exiting position or selling down to enter more "perceived " viable stocks. and vice versa for 52 weeks high

though this is subjective.

Make very good use of Investopedia.com. Also sign up for their Word of the Day email newsletter (usually at the bottom of each article) so you'll get familiar with the terms too.

Lastly, follow this thread almost on a regular basis. From time to time, your intuitive will make you understand what's going on. If you come across an unfamiliar word, use Investopedia AND Wikipedia (I suggest using both at the same time) to know what they mean.

Good luck.

I hope the bomb achieved its aim,Isis needs to be stopped before it destroys us all

You can't fight an ideology by throwing bombs up and down. The only thing you're doing is scattering them so they'll regroup later.

A lot more than throwing bombs needs to be done in defeating ISIS and that lot has to come from the Moslem community. They should stop playing the victim cards.

Look at BH for instance, every week our soldiers kill, burn, maim and destroy their camps and yet they don't reduce.

The Bigwigs in the Islamic community need to come out and attack this type of Ideology. Imagine is the King of Saudi, Kuwait, Bahrain; Emir of Sokoto, Kano, Katsina all come out and tell their people to rise up against Radical Islam, that would be half of the job done. Because the moderate Moslems look up to these rulers in the ummah and their opinions are well respected.

Until this is done, I don't think throwing bombs will have any effect. They'll only use this to attract and initiate more sympathisers to their pathetic cause.

This was just a test so that they can show the power of this bomb and now sale of this WMD will triple.

Bruh, I don't know if this suggestion is too late. If it isn't, try reaching out to Dr. Joe Abah on Twitter. he is the director-general of Bureau of Public Reforms. He is very active on twitter too.

I really don't know if Nipost falls under his jurisdiction but there really isn't harm in trying to reach out to him.

His Twitter handle is: @drjoeabah.

Pls, bruh, try to forward your complaints to him. Especially the customer care woman's part. Let us try to reform our public agencies so there'll be reliable. Don't let us just keep quiet when they do us wrong. Let us hold them accountable for their actions and inactions. This is the only way we can move forward in this country.

I read somebody up there saying Nipost also did something similar to him but he just gave up after writing them letters and emails. No! that is wrong.

Pls, bruh, I'm begging you to take this matter up. Try reaching out to Dr. Joe Abah on Twitter. Try to persuade him, even if Nipost doesn't fall under his jurisdiction, he should have some leeway about it.
