I totally agree, I am not naive to think marriage will always be about sex and it's not my ultimate goal or desire. I want emotional intimacy more than physical activity, I want the companionship more than sex. The sort of companionship where we can sit in silence but still enjoy each other's presence and experience that comforting feeling of having someone there even if you are not talking, for example I am reading a book upstairs and he is working on his laptop downstairs.

The only thing I can say to any single man or woman is to stay focused and don't let the society dictate or pressurise u into going into marriage when u were not ready..

Anyone leaving abroad will understand how bad it is for single ladies or gentlemen to Shop in peace during festive seasons especially if u have not found the right person...If u can move passed that inner feeling that looks like the world is leaving you behind, u will be just fine..

Those period, You will see all kinds of couples that u have never seen before... Different age bracket.. at the shopping malls especially the whites looking so nice with their kids probably sitting on the trolley... Keeping up appearance...

Sometimes it's not what it seems...it's like seeing those Jehovah's witness beautiful happy pictures on their flyers... wait for the right time..

How do you justify buying refreshments for your lecturers as a student? Didn't you pay school fees?

The work of teachers/ lecturers are to influence their students and Nigerian lecturers are really doing that with reckless abandon to an extent, the students don't even know their left from right

They made the students forget their responsibility as lecturers...
Part of their job descriptions was to grade papers... Be it project, assignment or examinations...How can a student that paid his tuition fees, departmental fee and probably faculty fees be asked to provide a refreshment for his/ her paper to be graded? And someone didn't see anything wrong in it..

So Richy what are the right reasons? You people (the general public) keeps saying this but no one ever defines the right reasons.

The right reasons for me are simply sex and companionship. Sex on a platform heaven will approve and a companion to enjoy this life with, we will be two adults taking care of each other.

But you see, Sabinas and Sabinus (i.e. male & female, ITK, oversabi people) will start a sermon on how my reasons are wrong and shallow, my reasons are not good enough, they'll preach on bloodlines and legacies......yada yada yada.

The right reasons will always differ from person to person. What were your reasons?

Anyways, the reason u gave is good, but in my opinion U are better off having a live in partner... Except if u just wanted certificate to have sex ...I said that because when those expectations extinguishes because it does in most marriages, you are free to go without any strings attached... Instead of going to the rigorous divorce processes...

In marriage, it won't always be sex...ask anyone except if you married a porn Star...there will be a time when neither of you might want to be intimate sexually like it used to be in your early marriage... Diminishing returns will set in, It will no longer gonna be "oh my goodness the house on fire 'daddy' is sending me to pound city...
When you arrive at that stage, what will be the binding cord that will sustain both of you?

The reason why I got married was more than physical union. It's more of emotional and mental support..Yes love played a part too but experience has taught me that it's not enough..

People basically gets married for different reasons.. but the real intentions are hidden a few layer deep and it takes an event to unearth...

In Nigeria for example, people get married for the man or the woman to take them out of poverty.. That is the most popular reason..it is a good reason but What if an event occurs and the person is no longer rich and able to provide, what then will happen to that relationship?

Some got married to prove a point to someone or group of people that they were capable of keeping a man or a woman... That to me is funny because after the euphoria has died down and such individual enters into the proper marriage, he/ she will understand.

Someone got married because they were afraid of being alone or because all their friends were married... Just imagine how this will look like if they end up in a wrong hand...

70k indeed! Nothing wrong in providing light refreshment to the panelist, but a situation where panelists would expect you to satisfy their gluttonous cravings is a total anomaly.

Personally I think the CBN should declare paper currency illegal to boost the naira even further. It will be easier to monitor transactions that way.
