All facilities in the Aiport belongs to the government, it is managed by them even when you take a lease on them.
Customs duty are done per piece and not in bulk. Thats why it is called Single Goods Declaration. Google SGD and don't lead peope astray

Are you also aware that any item that comes into the country is an import and duty must be paid? And for you to export out you must first clear the shipment?

The sender requested they send it back. She was told its not with them anymore, d agent said it was handed over to custom. One of their agent even threatened the lady by saying even if she didn't collect the items, she will still pay the fee.

Unfortunately, that's just the gospel truth. Even If the sender recall it, since it is in custom's warehouse, she will have to pay the import duty first before it will be waybilled back to her. I had this same horrible experience last month. It was a frustrating experience, but at the end, I did collect my stuff. Both are the best.. But for me I prefer romania. There are some things that you will get very easy when you are here. But if you want to be in schengen then choose hungary

I really like Romania & Hungary, & would settle for any as a stepping stone
But I hate the fact there's no spring intake in Romania for study😞
Hungary that have spring intake, their tution fee for my desired program is expensive & you will also pay application fee 😞...

Hi all.

Please I am looking for a good town to rent in Delta state. By "good", I mean with basic amenities like potable water, okay electricity, and good toilets.

(1)Kwale (about 3hrs from Warri), but they don't have light, so you'll rely on generator

(2)Beneku & Aboh are very close to Kwale, have constant light (oil companies there give them free light, they don't pay light bill). But na village 🙄🙄

I also need the town to be far away from WARRI area as possible. Like 3hr+ drive from warri. Looking at the google map of Delta state, the places I know such as ughelli, uvwie, and even sapele are close to that area. The other areas that are 150km+ away from warri are unfamiliar to me.

Please I will gladly appreciate your responses.

PS: Asaba is too expensive, so not an option for me.

Can you recommend any particular video or channel one can learn from..??

I started learning with different videos, but the channels I am most comfortable with for now are :
1. Mez Graphics
2. Simplicity K Boat
Simply because, they teach & you'll see how they're using the Photoshop tools bar.

When u click on a video, pause it, then proceed to read the comments. If the comments are encouraging, play the video for like 3minutes to see if the YouTuber's mode of instruction is through voice over or text

* Download & install Adobe Photoshop.
*Go to YouTube, search for graphic design videos, read reviews/comments before you download.
*Start watching and learning simultaneously.
If you're serious with it, before 60days you should be able to design above average flyers, banners & posters

A friend traveled to the UK in October 2022 using EgyptAir. Said the airline is cheap(350k) & the experience was good. So if you're low on funds & looking for a budget airline, you can consider them

Don't get me wrong, i am not saying 1million is big. The person I replied was telling the OP she's not sure that his (OP's)1million will be able to buy a plane ticket to countries that are not African countries. So I have to chip in that a friend bought Egyptair plane ticket to the UK for 350k

There is a misconception here. Okay, the screenshot that I posted that shows Miracood's answers was a screenshot from another screenshot. The original screenshot, the one I took on the test day started at 3.38pm my time which was 10.38pm naija time.
But because it is a very long image of entire page 2 of the thread and in order for me to show Miracool, I had to take the screenshot of the section where his answers were. It is that screenshot, the one I took today that was timed 3.29am my time here and 10.29am naija time.
I already posted the entire screenshot somewhere on page 10 if you want to check it. It's very long though..

I disagree, you don’t want to be writing FBVs in production codes, how willl you write clean codes that supports DRY, KISS pattern. How will he simulate mixins, reusable decorators and achieve predictable code structure. I went to his repo and understood all, I could easily extend that cos there is a structure I have seen b4 and I understand. I started out with FBV too and still use it to achieve quick and dirty jobs. Kudos OP

I so much love Django & I have worked with both views. As someone who likes working with Django rest framework, i prefer using CBV which I believe is best for serializers and makes you write clean codes that supports DRY & KISS pattern.
But quite painful I had to go back to React and start learning MERNstack when I encountered difficulty that has to do with GDALException error in a project I was working on with no solution in sight, but I will be back though

I bleeped up. My interview for a frontend role with a European based Company was canceled , i was wondering why the cancelation, mailed the HR, no reply. Logged in to my LinkedIn & realized that the HR has searched & viewed my profile, mind you, I didn't paste the link to my LinkedIn, I only added my github link. I actually lied(which I am not proud of) in my CV but failed to update my LinkedIn. The discrepancies was so glaring, I have been feeling bad since.

Let me establish some facts (Not a show-off please):
1. I have a wife and 2 kids (Married).
2. I am a freelancer, I'm also working online with an American startup firm (they gave me the liberty to continue with my freelancing).
3. I make from N600k upward on a monthly basis. I made 1M in April.
4. I just acquired a landed property (No land grabber issue).

To start with, my elder brother is in the UK, he advised/invited me to come to the UK with my family using the student route. Meanwhile, he is not aware of my achievements here in Nigeria and he doesn't know where I'm currently working. He assumed I'm still working in my previous place of work (I didn't tell him either).

Personally, I don't like to be a liability nor a burden to anyone and I like to be independent. I know being a postgraduate student in the UK comes with some rules/restrictions such as the number of hours I could work during the programme (perhaps 20hrs max; I'm currently on 35hrs/week with the US firm hoping to increase it to 40hrs).

Now, this is where I need a very honest advice from the good people of Nairaland. Should I go to the UK or stay back in Nigeria with my family?

I won't say much, but if I were in your shoe I will move. Your wife can be the main applicant then you & your kids will be the Dependants. Search for the thread in the screenshot below and read it, just 4pages. Your scenarios are almost thesame, he was working remotely in Nigeria before moving, got to England (on student visa) and still working with bigger pay ... Goodluck with your choice
By the way, I am a fullstack developer & I am open to remote jobs & hopefully travel out too
