Aunty Dorothy aka Dora doesn't understand that Rebrand(or whatever she wants to call it) has nothing to do with name. Some of the Asian tiger economies are examples of how you successfully change global perception by simply improving the lives of your citizens, Aunty Dora, please address your attention to more pressing and urgent matters- history will not be kind to you!!! |
Today it is her tomorrow it maybe your wife, sister, daughter or even mother! I'm sure if she hadn't created a scene like that even worse would have happened. We voted them in so they can beat us all up like that? God! |

Wow of all the people they could have arrested the biggest they found was a Priest!!!! Guilty or not when an entire state is at the mercy of kidnappers I would expect a string of the usual suspects e.g. corrupt policemen, rogue politicians and their supporters, disgruntled employees (private and public), unemployed university graduates, ex-convicts, discharged soldiers etc etc |

this is so funny, I hope he knows how much fuss he has created simply by keeping his name- oh snap - he probably doesn't give a s**t - he is probably one of the best actors in the world and I'm happy he is representing - Ibo or not, |
Nope, Jenny was sacked cause she messed with the wrong person. Male or female, straight or gay- you don't mess with the bosses kid especially if you are considered to be from a lower class, |
Wouldnt we all just love to see them have a falling out! Leaving the door wide open for the opposition. The story doesn't even have a ring of truth to it. Fashola isnt doing a great job. He is doing a better job than most expected. |
Fashola deserves all the international recognition he can get. It will go a long way to differentiate between the small minded thieves we have in office and the selfless visionaries. I cannot remember the last time a nigerian governor was recognised for anything other than stealing. Little by little he is being spoken well of. The world may finally be seeing a glimpse of the true character that real Nigerians have See articles below http://www.ft.com/cms/s/2/3d3209aa-8225-11de-9c5e-00144feabdc0.html http://www.ft.com/cms/s/0/09eb7cac-7500-11de-9ed5-00144feabdc0.html http://boblinkus..com/2009/02/fashola-lagos-will-not-fall-to-ruins.html?zx=fff90345dc63830f |
The fact that he spent time in prison for embezzlement should automatically rule him out of public office, but that aside there are better qualified and far more powerful folks in the state so his 'dream' will die away, |
Ya'll should pray that he doesn't drop dead! Look at African history when leaders in power die suddenly- Utter and complete chaos with total genocide and years of civil war So as much as you dislike him or like him make sure you say a little prayer that if God calls him the country doesn't implode! |
If all our efforts bear fruit to make this country a true giant of Africa then I vote for French,English, Arabic and even Swahili! For years Ecowas has been talking about 1 regional currency. All it will take is for Ghana to back up their currency with the required foreign reserves and we will all be trading in Cedi's - but thank God they are not interested - YET! |
DAMN! I think these poems are good. I like the fact that there is no overdone grammer and they are actually realistic! |
women seem to nag when they are not getting the required affection (sex is not affection oh), attention or response. But a nagging woman i.e. one that goes on and on will always nag regardless of the situation - so you gotta decide if you're going to stick around and take it or hit the road, |
I would suggest cutting the Fed Govt out of it completely - focus on critical mass roads only - start with a state or local government - throw it open so you can get a competitive bid - create a revenue sharing formula so that the company that wins it gets to keep a large percentage of the toll gates ,the amount will increase annually based on how well the road(s) is maintained i.e. good roads higher percentage - pray |
Read between the lines, Ribadu is free as a bird! He pissed off a lot of powerful people but also has a lot of powerful supporters. As long as he is based out of the country there is no real need to hold him. If they hold him what are they going to do with him?He is less of a problem if he is free, |
Read this and you will understand why the FG has stalled, even the States and France (last time I checked) are having problems with their own investigation http://www.halliburtonwatch.org/shareholder2004.html |
@aisha do all you can and above all leave the rest to our heavenly father. It is sometimes better to support charities that are in the forefront of addressing these problems than trying to take them on yourself, remember you can only do so much, Take and God bless. |
They need jobs, training, programs to ease them out, |
I doubt if anything substantial will come out of the EFCC meetings. CBN has gotten what it wants, EFCC investigation will not achieve anything. It would have been different if EFCC had fingered them as being suspected of un-ethical (possibly illegal) practices in the first place which would have forced CBN to act but doing it this way complicates things. CBN has achieved what it wants but EFCC involvement is just a waste of time and blatant opportunism! |
We might be saying something else if those banks failed (as indicated by international reports). The actions of the MD's (if proven to be true) is un-ethical. Sanusi has done nothing different to what the US and EU(especially UK) countries have done with 'dodgy' banks The difference in 9je is that they have been locked up- this is something the West would really love to do with their failed CEO's but can't easily accomplish because of legal loopholes and wrangling, Lets wait and see what happens now that he has played a strong hand will the banking sector self regulate better or will it call his bluff! |
Interesting how many people want MEND to 'fix' the problem by eliminating high profile targets! Bad leadership only occurs with the cooperation of 'good' leaders. At the moment IBB is free to run for office the real evil comes from those who will collaborate with him. If all the 'good' leaders hold their ground and reject his overtures then his dream will be short lived. That is the real challenge |
IBB is the reason why nigeria fell backwards! He has nothing to contribute except charm and a toothy grin. It is time to kick him aside so we can move forward! The man is a waste of time! |
