Obviously someone has hacked into someone's email. Action speaks louder than imagination. £20,000 is a lot of money to spend on anything let alone a failed marriage! Don't tell him you saw the message(truth is he probably already knows if he's a nairalander as he'd have seen this thread). Delete it and carry on with your life, but keep snooping around as you might stumble on the truth e.g ex-girlfriend etc. Good luck! |
What a waste! If that is the best defence this duo can offer in support of removal of subsidy then Nigerians we may not live to see the fruits. So to cure cancer they will kill the patient? |
Sad! These are Nigeria's celebrated geniuses that can't detail out plans on how to use additional funds. So academic so amatuerish |
GEJ is standing at the door of history, if he walks through he will cut government spending by at least 75% and will have full support of the public, if he turns back and reverses the price and still leads a bloated government then he will forever be labelled a failure. GEJ do the right thing for Nigerians! |
I really hope they get this subsidy thing right! Because if they don't the human toll will potentially tear subsaharan africa apart. The entire world will not be able to contain the carnage and yes another mighty human catastrophe will be witnessed. GEJ luck got you into Aso rock, Luck will not help you to govern properly. If this thing goes wrong there will be nowhere on earth for all of your cohorts to hide. Nowhere! |
@tainot2002, LWKMD :-) But seriously how do we track all these 'promises'? Its not that difficult if we keep track? |
Tragic! I didn't even realize they were that many or even that reckless!our President is clearly out of his depths and it won't take time before real power is pulled away from him |
I think an earlier poster put it best- nothing is going to happen if its left to organised Labour protest. The union leaders are all on one government payroll or the other! Only the real 'common man' can make any impact. 2012 is the year of common sense for the common man |
It took my neighbours house helps the entire day to travel back to his house! They spent most of the day looking for affordable transport! What if Nigerians just cannot afford to pay for fuel and work grinds to a halt nationwide?! Forget NLC induced/encouraged strikes. What if we just cannot afford the 'real' price of fuel? What then? Folks the FG hasn't done its homework properly and this(not BH) might be what finally breaks the camels back. |
Bold move Mr President! History is full of leaders who miscalculated their 'followers' support. They all paid a heavy price. No country on this planet can exist without some sort of subsidy(call it relief) to the general masses. I'll see what you intend to give back to Nigerians today(seeing as you removed the subsidy today)unfortunately something tells me you haven't figured that out yet. Nigerians pray that desolation and poverty will not be your portion this year! |
Does GEJ have the support of the Military? I doubt it. BH is small in comparison to what will happen when the subsidy is removed and Nigerians increasingly suffer. As the saying goes- give a man enough rope and he will hang himself! |
@OP Well done, I'm sure the lady won't mind too much about the pix, after all you saved her from God knows what!! |
Buhari would have dealt with BH same way as he dealt with other issues during his brief time in office. Having said that, the real issue is what is GEJ going to do about BH right now it appears that he doesn't have a plan of action. The sad thing is that other 'extremist' movements will see this as an opportunity to unleash terror , and that is the bigger problem |
no need to take the money out, my advice is dont touch it, just keep getting regular bank statements, if you are a clever business man then you would know that having a bank statement like that can make doing business very easy, |
its a company! unfortunately it's going to be one big warzone in the next 15-20 years if things don't improve, |
Don't mind David Mark, only he knows why his topic of discussion was Unity of Nigeria, Just watch he is positioning himself and don't be surprised if he continues harping on about Unity its all an effort to be relevant when the middle belt get tired of being used as a buffer and finally decide their own destiny, Which is more interesting Senate Leader or President of a new Nation, David Mark will not be talking of Unity then, |
I pity those who get posted to public offices, Exactly what do you hope to get out of being posted to a Government entity? A job? Valuable experience? Useful Contact? Exposure? Forget all of that With the decrepit, inept and incompetent public institutes we have it will be nothing but pure torture to send Corpers to them. This is another half baked opportunity by a mischievous minister to 'siphon' funds out of the NYSC. How will we the public keep track of the NYSC funding if all of them and I mean all of them are now to serve in public institutions when the public institutions themselves are falling to pieces? At least the private sector is more transparent i.e. if you earn you stay in business if you don't then bye bye This is a huge massive step backwards |
hope those kinds are being taken care of, it will be a double tragedy if after all of this they end up suffering, |
@Poster, apparently this has been on your mind for years, it is good that you are speaking up now, I pray you will also have the courage to speak up when the next religious riot kicks off in the North and stand up to stop the violence, the religious slaughters that take place in the north is not right and will only stop when informed folks like you are not afraid the slaughtering needs to stop, now |
She might or might not be guilty! But how many politicians or public officers has the court sentenced to death for worse crimes in the 8 1/2 years since this crime was committed? |
Please also channel all your anger here National Senate http://www.nassnig.org/nass/contact.php National Assembly http://www.nass.gov.ng/nass2/contact.php Nothing will come out of this outpouring if you don't keep knocking on their doors and reminding them all that they have blood on their hands |
This is so so Heartbreaking In the name of God our heavenly Father May all their souls Rest In Perfect Peace, Nigerians, please do not let this evil be swept away under the carpet, when a Nation cannot cherish its youth then it has lost its essence for existence, Rest In Peace all of you, may your Families be comforted with your loss, They will surely see you again. Amen |
NYSC, another white elephant project- ambitious and full of promise, but dead on arrival! Has anybody done the maths yet on the NYSC program, can you imagine how much of the country's wealth has been siphoned away all in the name of NYSC? Alternatively have we calculated how much is lost tying up our graduates in low earning jobs all in the name of unity Its mind boggling how we Nigerians continuously get taken for a ride! Did it have to the deaths of those corpers to wake people up, @OP I don't know where your online petition is but there are a few tools you can use e.g. http://www.petitiononline.com/ to get the word out. Nigerians please wake up, you only have this country! the West don't want you and East won't have you, NYSC is another scheme to steal away all of your hard earned money! May the all the corpers who lost their lives Rest In Peace. AMEN |
if that's the case then what would you say about the following: Hutu - Genocide of Tutsi's Sudanese Arab- Genocide of Black Sudanese Germans - Nazi extermination of Jews Japanese - Complete humiliation of Chinese English - Enslavement of Africa Portuguese- Enslavement of Africa France- Enslavement of Africa Spanish - Enslavement of Africa and South America American - Annihilation of the American India etc etc etc I could go on and on and pretty much every single race/tribe in this world will have done something extremely evil and shameful. So the problem is not religion or race the problem is the leadership, plain and simple. |
This is all tactics, in African politics its a text book strategy to reject any result that doesn't favor you in the hope that you will be offered something in return for dropping your case. I just hope things will not get out of hand, because it will be the masses that will suffer most, |
Hello, I just wanted to find out what the policy/practice is with regards to having 3 electrical PHCN/NEPA phases in Lagos, I've seen some people modify the supply so that they can use 1 phase if the other 2 phases are off. Do please let me know and apologies if this is the wrong place to post it. Thanks |
Really couldn't find anything wrong with her speech- yes it was slow, slurred etc but nothing fundamentally wrong, I'm just glad that she at least is willing to be seen and heard in public, unlike some other first ladies (in Africa), she'll do just fine with some elocution and delivery classes, |
@kambo, Many have followed the book and ended broke likewise many have ended up millionaires, Seeing as you raised a valid point about its application to Nije- why not do a version for Nigerians? we could make it a NL project and have folks collaborate etc, 2 cents |
Nigerians are not eating out of dustbins? Must we wait until - they not only eat out of dustbins but also garbage dumps before getting things right? I wonder how many other elder statesmen are positively intervening on our behalf! From $2B to less than $75M its not even 10% of the original figure, Fast forward 10-20 years when the victims and their dependants start overwhelming the resources of Kano state- where will these elder statesmen be? a former head of state and a traditional ruler conniving to cheat their own people out of a tragedy, God help us! |
Thot this was already sold once? Why the return to NL? Is it still Toks fresh or has it now spent some time on Naija roads- hence the reduction in price? |
