obviously something isn't right, guess the reporter couldn't be bothered to get the facts.

I can only think that the chief knew the game was up once one of the victims escaped so he had to cancel whatever plans he had...

how convenient? lets focus on the owners, lets forget that there is a regulatory body tasked with ensuring that all airplanes in our airspace are airworthy...

lets see how Nigeria gets out of this one...

Family / Re: I Caught My Husband Cheating On Me by ridgeman: 10:30am On Apr 06, 2012
@OP
This Wouldn't have been a problem if your husband came out to

1- welcome you to his office 2-3 minutes after you arrived
2- tell you he is in meeting with a female friend
3- asked you to be a little patient as its private discussion

But your husband didn't do that so - yes you have every reason to be worried

30 minutes is a lot of time to be spending locked in a room with a female(friend, client etc). Truth is how many women would be comfortable if a man(friend or not)locked them in a room if there weren't up to something dodgy....

my 3 cents

good luck...

Much ado about nothing

If there was fluid in his lungs then he drowned

If there was no fluid and he had defensive wounds and marks then he was murdered

Regardless of either he is still deceased. May his soul RIP

Family / Re: Letter Written To My Rapist 29 Years After by ridgeman: 7:58pm On Mar 10, 2012
29 years is a long time to be walking around as a rapist,

if he raped 1 woman per year then that would/could be 29 women's lives destroyed. that is the bigger injustice

He could have had your sister, daughter, niece, cousin, etc etc

Truth is he is not alone there are many 'men' who feel it is their right to take what is not theirs,
Politics / Re: Sovereign National Conference: North Set For Showdown by ridgeman: 12:20am On Mar 09, 2012
Africa will spend the next 20-30 years redrawing the lines that the colonial masters created e.g Sudan. I believe it is healthier if our union is created out of a real need to be together as one nation rather than a forgery with no real desire to be together.

Also civil war is almost impossible in the Nigerian context - there are just too many tribes, so SNC or not Nigeria will have to decide if a strong overbearing, verbose, corrupt, backward center is better than a decentralised forward thinking one,
Family / Re: Letter Written To My Rapist 29 Years After by ridgeman: 12:07am On Mar 09, 2012
@OP, Now that you have found him again, I hope you spend the next 29 years tormenting him, maybe he would like his daughter or son to be treated like that?

Anyway it must be a real burden and part of me says whatever you do and however you choose to get revenge make sure you don't end up feeling even worse off,

It might be easier to simply let him know what sort of a criminal bastard he is and move on- as they say what goes around will definitely come around.

Good luck

Politics / Re: North Ready For Nigeria’s Breakup–junaid Mohammed by ridgeman: 9:43pm On Mar 04, 2012
Interesting article but I don't know If he is the authoritative voice for the North

He seems to be more concerned about revenue allocation, land grabs, hurt feelings etc instead of substantial nation building for the North etc,

Religion / Re: Secret £14million Bible In Which 'jesus Predicts Coming Of Prophet Muhammad by ridgeman: 7:31am On Feb 28, 2012
I guess all religions should start looking into other religions to validate their own religion! As its been said by others on this thread there is no need to research the bible to validate Islam neither is there need to research the koran to validate Christianity. Doesn't that make sense? Each one to his own belief and ultimate fate!
Religion / Re: Secret £14million Bible In Which 'jesus Predicts Coming Of Prophet Muhammad by ridgeman: 11:57pm On Feb 27, 2012
@kingoflag

Are you worried? If the Gospel of Barnabas is true then Matthew,Mark,Luke and John cannot be false. Simples. And note I haven't insulted you back, but that's ok.
Religion / Re: Secret £14million Bible In Which 'jesus Predicts Coming Of Prophet Muhammad by ridgeman: 11:38pm On Feb 27, 2012
@olasesi, please re-read my post and understand the argument

"If Jesus as widely disputed by Muslims"

The point being expressed is simple - so let me break it down, if you are widely regarded as a liar why then should we believe one (1) word of truth?

Jesus according to Muslims( and they are not the only ones) do not believe that Jesus is the Son of God etc, therefore it only stands to reason that he is/was a false messiah. If he is/was a false messiah then you cannot accept what he says as truth(not even one little truth). But if you do accept anything he says as undeniably true then it only stands to reason that you should accept the other statements he has made,

To further break it down, you cannot pick and choose what you want to believe when it suits you, you either believe Jesus is truthful entirely or Jesus is untruthful entirely - you cannot accept some part of Jesus' message and discard the others - because it doesn't suit you or support your argument.

Hope that helps and wasn't too deep,
Religion / Re: Secret £14million Bible In Which 'jesus Predicts Coming Of Prophet Muhammad by ridgeman: 10:47pm On Feb 27, 2012
interesting but illogical.

If Jesus as widely disputed  by Muslims is not the Son of God or the Way the Truth and the Life,

then
         he is an untruthful person,

if he is an untruthful person

then
why believe any of his predictions,

If Jesus is not an untruthful person as widely disputed by Muslims  and this message is authentic then he is the Son of God and is the Way, the Truth and the Life and Prophet Muhammad is in deed a prophet and Jesus remains as the only way to God,

My advise is to not try to support one religion with evidence from another,
Politics / Re: Promotion Of Digs & Aigs Tears Police Apart by ridgeman: 8:56pm On Feb 26, 2012
Ludicrous, we need some real policemen, maybe GEJ should get some ex FBI or Scotland Yard Chief to run things for a while.

How an entire nation of 150m can feel safe with 5 helicopters is beyond me? The police force for many years has enjoyed unrivalled budget allocations all in the name of Security and 5 helicopters is all they can give us?

What else have they NOT been spending money on, SMH
Islam for Muslims / Re: 10 Years After Burial, Imam Sheez Adeyemi's Body Remains Fresh by ridgeman: 8:47pm On Feb 26, 2012
a picture would have said a thousand words, I'm sure eventually we will get a picture and this will put the entire argument to rest or inflame it again,

It is not right to disturb the grave so whichever argument is proven to be true or false- may he rest in peace,
Politics / Re: You Want A SNC?- Read This Full Minutes Of The Famous Aburi Conference. by ridgeman: 7:47am On Feb 23, 2012
Please wake me up when you have decided who will represent you at a SNC. The same 'leaders' will parade themselves as your 'leaders' and the same outcome will be reached ie Nigeria is one indivisible Nation crap! Breaking up this country is the easiest thing to do but we have the wrong motives so God in his infinite wisdom has kept us together. But seriously you don't need a SNC or even civil war you just need 1 or 2 highly efficient and successfully governed regions. Once you have that in place then you can talk about a viable state(self governed people with distinct advantages of being sovereign) within a state then you can talk of SNC. But until that happens Nigeria will remain as it is.
Politics / Re: Escape Of Kabiru Sokoto: Zakari Biu Dismissed From Nigeria Police Force by ridgeman: 7:27am On Feb 23, 2012
Pointless. Did Biu uncuff the suspect? Did he fail to raise the alarm when protocol for transporting a suspect was not followed? This is the usual BS we get in this nation. Someone charged with being instrumental to the murder of thousands cannot just be treated as a petty thief. Biu and all of those officers who failed to follow protocol should be prosecuted. But guess what? They won't. Unserious people Unserious Nation!

May her Soul Rest In Peace! There are no safety regulations or enforcement of school buses in Lagos the fact that a toddler is allowed to descend a bus on her own is a crime in itself but as usual Lagosians will lament and do nothing. At the end of the day more children's lives will be needlessly lost. Rest in peace angel God loved you more.

Politics / Re: Top Police Chiefs Aided My Escape - Kabiru Sokoto by ridgeman: 11:55am On Feb 18, 2012
If the story is true then Nigeria owes a big F-in apology and compensation to all those that have died. And BH might actually be right in saying Western education is evil. If all it has gotten us deception, lies and murder then every region should have its own 'government' sponsored BH sect to terrify the s-t out of other tribes! Maybe that's the wake up call this country deserves. SMDH

TV/Movies / Re: Nigerians Are Cowards (Half Of A Yellow Sun Casting) by ridgeman: 5:43pm On Jan 30, 2012
Would be an issue if Nigeria or Nigerians financed the movie. Hollywood can't afford to risk casting an unknown star. Besides she might just pull it off and do such a fantastic job that we all forget she's not Igbo- remember Don Cheadle in Hotel Rwanda

Politics / Re: Sanusi Links Boko Haram To "oil Derivation". by ridgeman: 4:03am On Jan 30, 2012
I guess he is hinting that the North should get more from oil revenues to limit BH threats? But seriously if the states(and I mean all the states) haven't done anything with the 'little' they get what guarentee is there that they will do anything if given more from oil revenues? Truth is all the states should be given a timeline by which they must base their entire spending on what is generated within their states. Only then will Nigeria begin its march to real development!
Politics / Re: Nigeria Will Eventually Break Written By Femi Fani-kayode by ridgeman: 8:27pm On Jan 29, 2012
Will Nigeria break up? Not so sure! And if it does, how and into how many regions? Tribes? Ethnicity? I think the center should get much weaker. But a total disintegration is not even in the interest of the west. So when the chips are all down!No Nigeria won't break up it will simply morph into super states/regions because the alternative is just too too expensive,

NYSC / Re: Should NYSC Be Scrapped? What's Your Take On NYSC? by ridgeman: 3:44pm On Jan 15, 2012
1-serve in your own state

2-Maximum age of 21

3-Voluntary

Secondary school leavers should be the target.

NYSC is another avenue for draining funds without accountability or consequence!
Politics / Re: Why Is Eastern Nigeria Silent On Fuel Subsidy Removal? by ridgeman: 10:44pm On Jan 13, 2012
Igbos always get it the worst! If they were to 'occupy' the streets the military would have probably rolled out by now! You can't blame them after all BH has been targeting them without any real attention from the Government. And the truth is they are in support of the protests!
Politics / Re: Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala And Sanusi On AIT Matters Arising by ridgeman: 3:34pm On Jan 13, 2012
The problem with all of this is that SLS and NOI have found someone who cannot match them. They have intimidated and frightened him into a corner and effectively paralysed him. GEJ doesn't have the educatiom, international exposure or even breeding to cope with the information/advice he has received hence the appearance of a disjointed Government. Fuel subsidy may stay or go and that is not the real issue. The survival of Nigeria and Nigerians is not dependent on Fuel! Our survival is fully within our hands. Today we are all protesting in the streets about subsidy removal injustice but what about all the previous injustice(s)? The mass slaughter of innocents for religious, economic or cultural reasons? The non-completion of public projects already paid for? The overbloated allowances of our elected members? The direlect hospitals publicly funded? The disgrace of our electricity infrastructure. The shambolic police and emergency forces. I could go on. My point is this until we get upset about every single injustice and DEMAND for it to be addressed we will not take a single step forward as a Nation.
