Lagos business owners are subjected to multiple taxations by different revenue agencies. Go to alaba and ask those traders their ordeal with Lagos state govt, U will write a book. Right from apapa exit gate all the way to their shops in Ladipo, it's taxation galore.

Council tax, market levy is different from personal income tax.

I want to live at least 300 years, I want them to prolong it a bit. Everybody is afraid of death, even your pastor, if there was no death, probably religion would not exist.
I believe death is just like any illness, if we can find a way to prolong the longevity geñes, or transfer our consciousness to a machine, it would be cool.

Death is actually what makes everything beautiful.

There’d have been more chaos and the whole existence of a thing would have been boring if there was no death.

Despite the population of the world, the resources available isn’t enough to cater for everyone. Now imagine if people don’t die, how you going to manage resources with your great grandparents and your great grandchildren?

I think the fear of death resonates the greed in our blood.

Nigeria has more natural resources than the UK and our citizens would not even need to pay as much tax as those in the UK for the country to survive.

Nevertheless we still have to pay tax, with the hope that government would utilize such taxes to progress our economic and social development.

Most registered company don’t pay tax here, except for the big companies.

And nobody will hold you if you don’t declare your company tax return here.

In the UK, even if you don’t make a dime from the company in a year, you still have to declare tax return. Other you get penalties that’d warrant you to pay fines.

In Nigeria, I’ve never seen self employed people declaring tax returns. Over there, in so far you’re not working in a company where tax is being deducted, you have to declare your tax return year in year out, otherwise, you pay fines.

You only are exempted from paying tax if you’re making anything less that £12k in a year. And £12k cannot even be enough for the bills you’d pay through the year.

I repeat, we don’t pay tax at all here if you know how the tax system works in the UK.
