inoki247:Negotiating with criminals strengthen them and will always make them go back to their crime in the long run. It also gives potential criminals the audacity to go ahead and commit crime, having fully known that las las dem go negotiate with them too. The North keep being the buffoonery that they are. This stupid thing, it cannot continue like this ![]() |
abduljabbar4:Seaport no doubt is an advantage, but are you saying that's the main reason why Lagos and developed better than other states of the country? BTW, the state ceased being the capital of Nigeria since 1991. That's approximately 30years ago. And pray tell, can you compare how it was back then to how it is now in terms of development? are the things that made Lagos what is is today. That's exactly why no other SW state has been able to replicate the success of Lagos. Are you aware of the many industries in Ogun state? Or you want to compare the infrastructures in Oyo state and the many big companies therein too? They are all doing well in their own pace, albeit behind Lagos. Lagos is the result of the collective handwork of Yorubas, Igbos, Hausas, and all the other tribes that have been making investments there. What type of collective investment bro? Yes there are collective investments everywhere, but talk about Foreign Direct investment, Lagos takes the huge share. And I already briefed on what foreign investors weigh on before deciding to invest in any country. And I ask, between South and North, where do you think any reasonable foreign investors will think first of investing in? Take Abuja for instance. Before it became a capital, who cared about it? But ever since it was named the FTC, foreign investments have been coming in and even if the FTC is moved to another place, Abuja will never stop growing so please, spare me all that bullcrap. In case you don't know, even in Borno, Boko Haram is no longer a big threat as it was under your useless son's government. Yes, they still kill but the days of taking over LGs are over. Southerners erroneously think that Boko Haram is still killing us in thousands everyday but that isn't the case. They may not still be killing as before, but foreigners are seeing and will continue to see northern Nigeria as a no go area. Reason being the tendency of constant insecurities. The utter illiteracy, and poverty too (87% of Nigeria poverty level is from the North). Investors weight their options and part of it is, are these people literate enough to buy what we're about to sell to them? Do they have the money to purchase what we're about to sell to them? Is there security for our companies and employees? Ask yourself these questions as pertaining to northern Nigeria and please answer honestly? Then direct the same question to southern Nigeria, especially South West and see the major reason foreign investors prefer the south to the North. Not necessarily because of Lagos being former capital and other of your yadayada excuses. They do no more damage than the cultists and skull miners that are scattered all over your region. The Fulani Bandits are the major issue now but other than in states like Zamfara, Kebbi and Katsina, they are not significant in any way.The problem of the North is illiteracy. Once they stop seeing Boko as Haram, believe me problem's solved. Poverty is eradicated as education eradicate ignorance. The eradication is what brings about logic, tolerance and compassion. Once the North have these three, then development is set. Talking about religious riots, I would love to hear more about that from you. There are 19 northern states and with the exception of SOME PARTS of Kaduna south, I don't hear about religious or ethnic clashes here. About education, I agree with you. We are behind the southern region BUT you will be shocked in the next ten years. Parents now send their children to school everywhere in the north. Your perception about the north is what it used to be like 20 years ago. There is currently a massive change.I'll be glad to see this, and I really hope this is true. Because one way or the other, the North lagging behind is indirectly drawing us backward too. Saying that the north steal more than the south is a lame joke. It is on record that Nigerian politicians are thieves. There is no distinction here, because for every Andrew Yakubu, Abacha, Shettima and Magu that we have, there is a corresponding Alamiesaigha, Tinubu, Tompolo, Diezani and Stella Oduah in the south.Cyber fraud is a pathetic situation in our youths that much of us aren't happy about. Government played a big role in allowing this to fester, and it is government that can curb this as well. It festered even more under Buhari as a result of the hardships he brought with his cluelessness and ineptitude. This is not to glorify or give excuse to defend the heinous acts, but what's the government doing to stop this, and how are they creating an enabling environment for the youth to survive an disuade from fraud? |
A country's future can be deduced from how its leaders set priorities. No WAEC, yet election will hold in Edo and Ondo. This is the result of having a certificate-less president, cow-herder as minister of education and thugs cum greedy politicians in the legislative houses. 'God already left Africa'

abduljabbar4:What's the difference between exporting it abroad and keeping it domestic? Do you know how much in Foreign Direct investment (FDI) that enters into this country? For your mind, despite the fact that we have bad eggs that tarnish the image of this country and 'export' the bad habits, between the North and the South, where do you think any top US company would like to set their foot? Are you even aware how many US and other foreign and multinational companies that are situated in Lagos, and would not even for once think of ever coming up not? The reason isn't far-fetched. 1. The level of illiteracy will not afford them making sales. 2. Boko haram, Fulani herdsman, banditry, religious fanaticism, and riots etc, are enough insecurities that damper the effects of development. All these are critical issues that needs to be looked into up North as a matter of fact. Without these things being checkmated, you have no argument to even compare Kano to Lagos. Forget the fraud and tarnishing of images. Northern politicians are the worse of all corrupt politicians. And the effect of this is why we keep having people dip their hands in dirts down here. At least the average northerner will not be mistreated outside the country. What about you people with all the disgraceful crimes you commit everyday? This is not in tandem with this thread. We are talking domestic issue now, not offshore. Which destination would an American be picking when coming to Nigeria, north or south? |
abduljabbar4:The other day, the US gave warnings to their citizens traveling to Nigeria. And part of the no go areas are mostly northern states and some part of SS. Is this the reputation that the North is building for the country? |
fiizznation:Mumu talk as usual. It wasn't unexpected that you lots have the effrontery to masturbate on this thread. Of course every state have their own advantage and product they produce from which huge revenues for developments are made, and no one is saying the North are not doing fine economically. But as much as they are doing fine, they are doing worse too with their retrospective mindset and their unwillingness to go in tandem with current development in the world. A typical example and a rebuttal to your myopic claim that I trashed up here is the aspect of comparing Lagos to kano. For the record, Lagos isn't making giant stride because of the seaport alone. Lots of states can't catch up with Lagos not because of the seaport alone, rather because the level of literacy down here is making multinational companies to troop in here. Multinational companies can't set foot in an environment where literacy is below par. Obviously for the reason that those not literate enough will not buy their products. Once I tried searching for investment banking companies outside of Lagos, I hardly could find any. Investment banking holding their foot proper in Lagos only shows Lagos is the marketing hub Nigerian. And shows people buy their products because they are literate enough to understand the efficacy of services they render. Otherwise, most would have packed and closed up in a long time. This isn't to say other states aren't doing well, literate-wise, but the very fact that most tech companies, investment and advisory companies, insurance, research and other developmental companies that brings rapid development to nations and turn them to developed country are situated in Lagos. They're not situated in Lagos because of the seaport, they're situated there because of the population and the literacy level there. Nevertheless this is just one of the many reasons why you can't compare Lagos to Kano. Unless maybe in the nearest future when Kano and most northerners stop seeing 'Boko as Haram', then the possibility of Kano being compared to Lagos may spring up. Until then, stop spewing bunkum abeg!! |
How real is this forsage thing? Is this not another form of MMM in crypto currency form? 4 of my closest friends texted to come and join, but I'm always skeptical of all these stuffs that doesn't come with clear cut explanations. Is there anyone here that can give a clear cut explanations on how the returns are generated? |
tesppidd:Is it not better for him to get impeached than to continue sitting there while things continue to get worse under his nose? |
Imagine this hypocrite. What has he done to Israel despite all their oppression against Palestine? |
Angelfrost:You're obviously confused. How have I dodged reality? Am I the one claiming Yoruba was selfish for voting against Jonathan in 2015? Were you not the one that dodged reality by shifting goal post after I gave you an insight on why Yoruba voted against Jonathan in 2015. You're a joker. However, since you asked, enlighten me on 2019!!!Before this, we need to reverse back to 2011. Remember Yoruba voted massively for Jonathan, despite the fact that most notable SW politicians are in ACN, yet they worked to see Jonathan in government. How? Remember Ribadu was presented by ACN back then, this was done to spite Buhari, and break down his votes, just to see Jonathan win. Back then, Yoruba had interest if Buhari were to win in 2011, he was having a Yoruba VP as running mate, same with Ribadu too. Only Jonathan had a northerner as running mate, thereby PDP doesn't even offer SW much compared to the other two. Yet still, SW voted massively against their own sons running as VP in the other parties. This was borne out of the campaign strategy Jonathan engaged in. He was able to buy everyone's pity with his "I had no shoes" mantra. We thought he was the Messiah and we voted for him irrespective of whether we have a stake in the government or not. 2015 came. His scheming out of South West was obvious. We don't have SW as President or VP or Senate President or HoR speaker. We were obviously out. But that's not even as worse as the obvious corruption in his government. You can't deny this. He fell below expectations and Buhari came with his anti corruption mantra, together with our son as VP, if you were in our shoes, you'd definitely vote for Buhari. I lie? We wanted a better Nigeria, and we thought Buhari would bring that, with our son with him, it's only obvious that that's even a bonus mark for us. 2019 came, Buhari fell below par. We'd justified that it's only natural for him to struggle in an attempt to balance what PDP had crumbled for 16years. 4 years wasn't enough, that was what we thought. And the alternative, being Atiku was no different from an average corrupt politicians in the country. He fumbled even more when he said he'd sell off some federal asset. Plus also the fact that politics is a game of interest. SW had more interest in APC than in PDP, and we thought Buhari would live beyond expectations of the staggered first term, unfortunately, he's gone beyond miserable since the beginning of his second tenure. |
Sammy07:I tell you. Even though we know our cantankerous brethrens in the North are oblivious to the current world and development going on, and hence always ready to go the direction of where their leaders direct them like a senseless cattle, we can't shy away from the fact that Jonathan had a very good chance to prove that down South, we're all more enlightened and development-oriented, BUT HE BLEW IT WITH IS UTTER INEPTITUDE, and his terrible body language to the criminals he allowed to tide our affairs. |
Angelfrost:Oh well, you're shifting the goal post now. It's not about Jonathan again, it's about last year. You need to pick either of the two for an argument to be established. 2015 or 2019, which one is pinching you and that made you think Yoruba betrayed Nigerian unity? |
Angelfrost:So your own 'non-ethnic selfishness', otherwise 'sense of unity' is leaving Jonathan and his goats to continue eating our yam? Are you so quick to forget how much in billions of dollars Alison Madueke stole under the nose of Jonathan? We should have left that ineptitude to continue at the detriment of the nation, thats your definition of unity, right? |
RTSC:Speak with fact or shut up abeg! erospecial:Coward and lazy? Who's more coward and lazy like Ojukwu? You still wonder why Southwest is the destination of every other states in the country? Tell you we can do well on our own without having to leave here. You call that "asslickng Arewa"? Wake up! |
RTSC:So you're about to start comparing £20,000 in the 70s to £20,000 in 2020? Are you normal at all? |
Anybody still supporting PDP or APC should have their heads checked. These politicians are only interested in their pockets, and would jump ship to maintain what's coming in their pockets at all cost. Taking them serious and relying on them bettering our society is a dream that'll never come through. Until we grow the balls to hold them accountable for what they were elected for, until we use the internet to serve the common purpose of bringing ourselves together to hold them by their balls, rather than using the internet to troll and engage in frivolities while ignoring the fact that these cankerworms are stealing our future and that of our kids for themselves and their generations, this will not get better but worse. |
sodiqapril:See nonsense talk. Can there ever be a place like home? Are there not some other form of evil in all these obodo oyinbo lands too? OP, when you make enough money over, please come back to Nigeria, I swear you'll enjoy it more. You can only enjoy Nigeria when you're very rich, otherwise na hell fire e be. But bottom line, no place like home. |
Doyou2019:I can't see that |
bluefilm:Kola's pass was terrible. Not entirely Luis's fault. |
These people too dey like rough play |
No thanks to the disastrous Commander in Chief, president Buhari. Good riddance |
Confusion everywhere in the country. Who else noticed that our presidents only comes out once in a month? No wonder the country is in disarray. |
Ghenisean:Bring 50k for S5 lite 4/64. 1 month old. |
From head to toe of this country, from the president to a the new born baby that was just given birth to, corruption is ingrained in our DNA. I don't generally those engaging in internet fraud for engaging in it. Our government is so corrupt that there's no empathy on them to create an environment for anyone to thrive except themselves and their family. Whereas humans are wired to always seek an escape route to survive by all means, which was what started the internet fraud in the first place. Rather than government to look into the youth's problem and look for solution to stop them from engaging in it, they'd rather continue the looting and looting, there leaving it all to a situation of ALL MAN FOR HIMSELF, and yes indeed all man for himself. This country will forever be a mistake of union. Lord have mercy! |
