If you're not making a dime by yourself for a whole month and have to depend on your parents to get 500, I believe it's only logical, if you really hate your situation, to go out and try to make at least 2k on your own. You said you were at home doing nothing for a whole month, and yet still complain you didn't make 500 on your own. Pray tell, is it possible for one to make 500 by just sitting down at home doing nothing all day?

When I finished my OND and could not find a placement for internship, I was home most times eating my parents food, have a room of my own in my fathers house. My Mom can always give me money whenever I asked her. But I hated myself being idle. I stayed home for 4months doing nothing and just eating, always coming on nairaland argue politics and religious stuffs like my life dependend on em. But I never liked my situation. When I noticed I was starting to hate myself, I just went to a BAKERY to seek u employment. I got it, even though the work was tedious. I fell sick after the first week because you hardly get to a sleep in the bakery. Stilli went back because I just can't stay at home doing. Within a month I got used to the condition. And I was able to hold on to the work for like 6 months before I decided to take Direct entry form again. It was better than sitting down at home and getting fed without being productive.

Being idle and doing nothing productive with a terrible bank balance is a depression on its own, but if you really don't like it, you, as a man, have to drop your past to the past and wake up to take charge of your life. We've all made mistakes and it's until we utilize our mistakes to correct our future, we'd continue to dwell on the futility of the past.

Betting is a very terrible thing. Really addictive and enticing. There's a reason why it's called the fool paradise because the more you play, the more you win, the more you dwell in the world hoping to win more till you lose everything. To avoid it, you need to understand the psychological effects it always has on one and how deceitful the supposed winnings always turn into losses in the long run. Secondly, detach yourself from friends that engages in it. They are blind and would not mind making you blind too. If you see them win, let them celebrate their winning on their own. Don't be greedy to want to win too. In the long run they'll give back all their winnings to the game.

Truth is, if you really love her as much as you'd want us to see, you were supposed to sit here down and talk sense to her. Probably threaten her that you love your niece as much as you love her nad you definitely can't because of her not accommodate your niece when need arrives. Also you were supposed to have cautioned as her to overworking the poor girl. I believe it is until she refuse to change before you get to decide to discard her. But without you making all these proper consultations and all of a sudden just reached the conclusion of breaking up with her after mercilessly beating her shows the love wasn't that strong. Because if you really love her, you can try change her myopic views and intolerance, it is until she refuses that you discard her.

Now, I'll like to caution you to be careful in the attempt to discard her just like that. She may come up with revenge that'll cripple you if care is not taking. You assaulted her, she can sue you to court for that to get back at you. She can even frame you up for rape or anything. Things like this are what we see everyday..

What I'll urge you to do, if you really do love her and not the infatuation you've displayed so far in the name of love, you sit her down. Let her know you can't because of her drop your family. Your family is you and she must respect your family as much as she respects you, otherwise you're not doing again. If she agrees, then take and back and try to build things again, otherwise then drop her. But be careful bro.

The effect of the protest that followed George Floyd's death is still being felt in the United States. The environment allows for peaceful protest. It is through peaceful protests that the voices of the masses are aired to the ineffectual government. But this shithole that we're, your right is trampled upon, and you're not allowed to make stand against it. Any attempt to do so would be met with inhumane treatment, thereby silencing us. Isn't it evident that a Nigerians are the enemy of Nigerians?

But I believe nothing good comes easy. The most developed countries of today started as much as this too, it is not until they give in to reason, and see the need for education in order to give room for intelligence that the mind to bore different Political movements coupled with great passion for them and always with the patriotism to stand against any evil forces to trample against their right before things started yielding fruitful for them. All these didn't come without a price as most laid their lives to achieve these. Today, their government understand it is their fundamental human right to protest and know quite well that it's serves as energy for them to do what they are elected for. I believe until some of us are patriotic enough to the extent of even getting ready to lay our lives down for these cesspit to get better, we're not going to leave this phase.

You should try and convince her. It's your life, not hers. You should do what you're passionate about not what they want you to be passionate about. At the end, if it gets fruitful, you get to eat more and them too. But if you allow them force you to do what you don't like, you may end up not getting fruits to eat and will end up not being happy with her for making you do what you don't like. Grow some courage to follow your path.

Marriage, in the true sense of union, should never be a slavery business whereby one works his/her ass for the benefit of the other partner. However in a marriage setting, I do believe both parties in the union must bring something tangible to the table to make things balance. Also it's important that in a situation whereby things are not generally as balance as we'd want them to be, that love fills such void for it to be absolutely balance subjectively.

In my opinion, I believe, the man, aside being a natural provider of the family is also a natural protector of it. There are situation whereby the woman can take the former position, but can never take the latter position. The more reason why the man is very important leading wherever the boat of the marriage is going.

I believe a marriage whereby the man provides over 80% needs of the family, it is only logical that the woman provides something else in proper amount to complement the man's effort. For example, if the man pays the normal bills, house rent, foods, children fees etc, then it is pertinent on the woman to do something in proportion of what the man is doing. Of course you don't expect me to be carrying all these financial burdens and when the time to rest comes, I should start going about with kitchen duties or other house chores. Objectively it's not balance. And if the wife takes the position of doing all these house chores and taking care of the kids, that's not slavery but rather helping the husband.

But then a situation whereby the wife pays bills as much as the man, maybe splitting it or something, then of course, the whole burden of house duties cannot be rested on the woman, but an important point to note is that, she still has to do more of home duties than the husband, because already the husband is taking care of the family's protection, something the woman can never do.

Meanwhile, we don't expect all these to be balance, one way or the other it'll always be lopsided. What makes marriage fruitful and lasting is LOVE and RESPECT. If the love and respect are there, nothing will look like a burden on either part of the parties. However if one of these two things is missing, forget it, even if the wife turns a slave to the husband or the husband turns to satisfy his wife, the marriage would, Sooner rather than later, crash or be painful for both parties.
