I was not at the scene, neither were you, when the accident happened so l will take it that we are both referring to the "eye-witness account" that was listed in the story, on page one, quoted below.
I concur that some part of that bridge was 'bad' (like there is any part of Nigerian road that is very smooth! ).

Now, this is a driver that drives public transport (and presumably undergo "special training" and is under higher expectations of "duty of care", compared to just any other private driver) and this is NOT his first day at work (No need to pretend on that) so he definitely must have passed that bad road before and knows it is there. The argument about "act of nature or unforeseen circumstance" does not hold water! That bridge did not become "bad" five minutes before he drove on it now!

I have driven on Lagos Ibadan Express a few times and even l know where the road is bad ...and where to slow down to a crawl of say 50Km/H, even though l can do at least 120Km/H conveniently on that road. It is called "common sense and duty of care to myself and other road users".
If l decide to "speed" over these dangers and turn-around to blame the "bad road", then l must be "this Aboki or some sort of very unintelligent being, like a mechanic"! (Pun not intended! )



Questions:
*Why would a Driver be ON TOP SPEED on a Bridge,.... not to mention top speed on a Bridge with "dilapidated portion"? That is how they drive, RECKLESSLY!

*Why was the Driver "striving to control" the Bus or why was the Bus "swerving dangerously"? Does that not tell you that "He COMPLETELY LOST CONTROL" of the Bus? HE was driving at a speed not commensurate with the danger (prevailing conditions) inherent on that bridge, at that time.

* Other drivers have driven on that same "bad part of the bridge" before and after this accident... without crushing other vehicles or drivers. WHY HIM? Looking at the reported damage on the bridge, (This was a "gap on the two interlocking parts of the bridge), all you need do is slow down to get over it. WHY DID HE NOT SLOW DOWN? The same problem is on ALL our Bridges due to lack of proper maintenance, you just need to exercise more diligence and care. SLOW DOWN!

Even if you pass on all those counts (including that you were driving at a "common sense speed" at that point, you will still get a Driving ban, at the least.... and if you breach it, you still go to jail.

what im seeing is may rome camera ka and a dvr and you want to record the vid using the dvr and acces your dvr and/or the camera from the net just input the ip address of that dvr/camera to view the vid and at the same time you can view it realtime...tama po b??

Setting up DVR to be used from remote location:
Connect your DVR to your router
Use menu on DVR to assign internal IP and gateway and port number.

This Local IP must be in the same Gateway range as the Router. If you are unsure check the Router and locate the Status section, or goto the Command prompt of Windows XP and type in ipconfig.

Look for Gateway. If the Gateway is 192.168.1.1, then you can make the DVR's IP anything from 192.168.1.2 - 192.168.1.255.

Also you will need to use the same SubNet Mask, which is typically 255.255.255.0, and also use the same gateway.
Next find out what port your DVR uses. The easiest way to it is by reading the manual of your DVR. Look for the network section of it.

Also if it comes with network software, check out if in the connection area the software shows the port number.

Also check the Server software/Programming (Network section of it) to see if the port is listed.

In many cases it will be as simple as just Port 80, which is an HTTP port.
Set your router to forward chosen port to internal IP address of DVR.

To access the Router itself, use the Gateway you just located. If the gateway is 192.168.1.1, then enter that into the location edit box of your browser and then click the Enter button. A username and a password are typically required, but it depends on a router. For Linksys use "admin", "admin". By default DLink doesn't require any username or password (It is highly recommended to change the default password).

Once you're logged into the Router, in the Applications & Gaming Section / Servers of the Router, you need to add a Server/Application. Enter the port number and select TCP only. Where it says Port 0 to 0 enter the same port number twice. Or if your DVR uses for example, ports 3550, 4550, 5550, 6550, and there is nothing else utilizing these ports in between, then you can actually just enter one line, 3550 - 6550.

Enter the DVR/Cameras internal IP.

You have a static IP so you don't need to use sevices like www.dyndns.org . You just enter your static IP and your router forwards packets to your DVR.

As Ibo it is permitted to go abroad with just a school cert to hussle. Even when at that level you hardly have enough experience or knowledge of how the world works. Yorubas also have their own but you cannot compare them to Ibos in destructive capability. Ibos won't u ask yourselves questions?
