BSI means Built-in System Interface.

It’s kind of like an ECU for all other electrical systems other than the engine, but it is connected to the engine ECU via a CANBUS interface.

It also controls everything electrical in the car, from immobiliser, to communicating with the indicator stalk unit/wiper unit, wiper speed, electric windows etc..

Once it goes bad, and you can't get a specialist to fix it, then you're in for a long ride.

Their moratorium abi what do they call it has not even elapsed. The loan is not up to 2 yrs yet. So not possible for them to have started paying. The Debit alert caught them unaware.

They credited them last year March, so not up to 24 months.

You got it wrong; repayment starts after one year not two. Their office is near my house in Kaduna, I've been talking with their staff. So, I immediately dropped 20k in the account as advised to avoid stuff like this.

Mine was a Peugeot 407. I changed EVERYTHING in the car, except the parking space. Guess what, it was just a BSI issue o and the new owner is still cruising it 4years on. Truth is, a severely abused car in the hands of a techie, can be the best buy.

Okay let me explain and share my experience: When uber first came to Nigeria, it was quite profitable for the first set of drivers that signed up as at then, due to several factors: the volume of vehicles signing up to drive was low, the commission charged drivers was low and fares charged passengers was high - The passengers didn't mind because it was a novel idea and they loved the experience.
But as with all good things, many people flooded the platform to drive, taxify came in as a competitor, crashed the fares to attract more customers and slightly reduced commission to attract drivers.
Now, the space is so dense, meaning you have to drive twice as hard to make what you would have previously made. The effect is that the car suffers more wear and tear. Note, these sedan cars weren't designed for commercial use, so no matter how perfect their initial state was and how hard you try to maintain them, you still ultimately incur costly maintenance and repair costs. Let me give you an instance: oil change ia typically done on account of time or mileage driven. With rigorous cab driving and a.c always on for customers, you have to frequently do oil change. You know how w much good oil costs, with a.c on almost all day 7days a week, in no time, the engine will croak. And others.. In my own personal experience and those of other drivers I was in contact with, we were just working to take care of our vehicles.
Most of us have stopped the work. We are now doing other things.
But everyday, new people keep signing up to drive beliving its one goldmine. Because of how it was back then. But as they enter, they leave cos there is really nothing in it.
I advise anyone who is contemplating it, not to waste their time. My cousin asked me how was it that he was thinking of doing it, I told him not to bother, he didn't hear, he went ahead. Few months later, he ran out by himself

I see many people telling you bolt all the way bolt this bolt that, my brother pls and pls never run your car on bolt every time everyday and never run your car all day, what they will fail to tell you is that those that make bolt their daily and all time work will always look for cash to repair their car when they need maintenance, a car that you drive daily will require more repair than a car that you drive ones or twice a week, the best advise i can give is never to quit your 50k work but you can run bolt for weekend, do this for like a year then you will know if you are to quit your work or quit bolt. And some people are saying that driving bolt will make you a free man bro, that is a fact lie if you are driving bolt and you did not meet up with driver scores and confirmation rate bro bolt will block you and might not open your account again.

Your last paragraph distorted the consistency of your submission sir. You said OP could be running bolt on weekends and later brought up meeting up with driver's score; so why advise him on a 2-day per week bolt driving knowing that it would most definitely affect his score negatively?

Stick with your 50k job. Bolt has no net gain. You will use anything you make to fix the car, you will even be borrowing regularly to fix your car. Overall, you will be poorer for it. I drove my car on bolt for 2years, sharp direct tokunbo Toyota, it was a waste of 2years, you just go about carrying people and feeling like you're doing something, but in actual fact, you're just going about in a cycle.
Most people are still taken in with the false stereotype that bolt driving is one goldmine, it is not.
