Mr Authentic! A man with human conscience that feels the heartbeat of an average Nigerian on the street suffering. Free and fair elections no living politician can beat Peter Obi in an election…Peter can fix Nigeria in 10 months by cutting the waste spent on corruption and spending it on the poor. The multiplier effect will make Nigerian economy one of the strongest. His security apparatus was the best as anambra govenor , education number one, he never borrowed a dime and left anambra debt free , built roads that connected the 177 communities in Anambra, built LG secretariats in the 21 LGAs of the state and healthcare centers , left 75bn (equivalent of almost a trillion today) for his predecessor . Peter Obi is an angel destined to put Nigeria on world map. A new Nigeria is possible with Peter Obi !

Have you forgotten that your
The last administration collected loan in USD,
With a promise to pay back with crude oil for a period of some years. ?
So you don’t know what have been going on ?
That’s why Dangote need to catch/level up by importing
why not import from Ghana or Equatorial Guinea or the rest around here instead of America products that are ten times more expensive. I believe the Indians he contacted to do the refinery scammed him and my mind tells me the refinery was never completed and the cost of completing is now unattainable so they want to use it as an Avenue to start fuel importation. When I saw them last year showing videos of crude oil trucks going inside there to refine I knew something was wrong

Calm down.

Nigeria have obligations to fulfill for now. Don't forget that they have agreed to various swap deals before now. Until they see out those agreed deals, they may not be able to supply what Dangote fully needs.
okay I will calm down and watch the scenario playing out but my mind tells me a different thing..that the refinery was never completed and the cost of completing is now unattainable so they want to use it as an Avenue to start fuel importation. When I saw them last year showing videos of trucks crude oil going inside there to refine I knew something was wrong

What you don’t understand is that the subsidy cabal in NNPC has been frustrating Dangote from lifting crude oil from Nigeria. Until Dangote deals with them by buying from abroad, they will not relent. When they see that price of petrol is low and the product is available, they will realise the game is up. They cannot sabotage Dangote anymore. Then they will sell directly to him.
that might be true but my mind tells me a different thing..that the refinery was never completed and the cost of completing is now unattainable so they want to use it as an Avenue to start fuel importation. When I saw them last year showing videos of trucks crude oil going inside there to refine I knew something was wrong

Why would reno constantly always present a person like bobrisky as a Yoruba landmark or what Yoruba stands for? The last time he was comparing bobrisky with Allen onyema. Imagine presenting as Yoruba culture and giving examples with Bobrisky a gay transgender who indulge in disgusting habits every African culture abhors Wonder why Yoruba elites stay back and watch this kind of thing happen to Yoruba culture. Why the penchant to drag Yoruba culture into politics?l
Politics › Re: Petrol: Oil Marketers Propose N550/litre Price To Dangote by rinzaugustine: 6:05am On Apr 08, 2024
Lol..let us view this with common sense. Tinubu said he increased Nigeria oil production to 1.5m bpd. Nigerian oil, Venezuela etc is known as sweet crude and one of the best in the world. The aim of dangote building a refinery was to receive crude from Niger delta, refine it and make fuel, kerosene and diesel cheaper than imported ones and save Nigeria trillions of naira in loss to petroleum importation. Why would same dangote now need a large chunk of the country’s foreign exchange to import petroleum products from overseas at rates subsidized by FG for a completed refinery, similar to what petroleum marketers have done in the past more than 20 years?

Lol which Iran ? Iran is walkover for Israel . The only reason Biden is pressing down hard on Israel is because US elections is just 7 months away and Biden is only worried his core left voters are abandoning him over what is going on in Gaza . It just a choice, there are igbos even down to Equatorial Guinea, Guinea Bissau, Gabon etc and they identify as proud igbos while you can also find a person from anambra or imo who say they don’t identify as igbos . Most igbos are not bothered by what you identify yourself as so it’s a choice that comes from the heart as to which heritage or culture you prefer. Igbo mindset is tilted more towards money making , progress, advancement in science and technology etc than those things
Politics › Re: How Nigeria And Other Developing Countries Can Eliminate USD Hoarding. by rinzaugustine: 9:00pm On Apr 07, 2024
fredwill1357:
It will bring down the exchange rate because the central banks will have more USD in their vaults, that alone is a big advantage. Why does the EFCC bother pressuring BDC operators and banks to release dollars if it doesn't affect the exchange rate.
More dollars in circulation and within the reach of the central banks means a lower and more stable exchange rate.
I am an advocator of devolution of powers in Nigeria because that will make the states more productive and innovative. More exports means more forex, however let's protect the forex we have already, while devising means of getting more.
Look at it like this. Where does Nigeria’s dollar come from now? Highest is from crude oil sales, followed by foreign borrowings and diaspora remittances. What is the highest consumer of Nigeria’s forex ? 80% petroleum products importation followed by everything you see daily .. Nigeria imports almost everything even rice and toothpicks. If assuming Nigeria earns 20b dollars and importation is going to consume $15bn you think Nigerian government can beg Chinese or Indians or Americans to accept naira as payment? No …that is what creates scarcity and will make price of dollars go up. Economists call it market forces of demand and supply. Currently CBN pumped in borrowed billions of dollars into the forex market to stabilize the naira but what happens when the money is assimilated by the market? Government will have to pump in another money or naira will slide back to where it was

Politics › Re: How Nigeria And Other Developing Countries Can Eliminate USD Hoarding. by rinzaugustine:
Very good idea might work if implemented but wouldn’t bring down the value of Naira to dollar exchange rate due to the law of demand and supply. Dangote refinery instead of exporting to ease and boost naira will now import thereby adding more pressure on naira. Nigeria is import dependent and exports only crude primarily
